Hi thanks for a very thorough and detailed review. Just doing research now before deciding. Can you tell me what brands of Beer are included in the All Inclusive, is it Heineken, Stella, or Dos Equis etc ? And what about liquor, is it Absolute Vodka, Crown Royal, Glen Livet Scotch etc ?
Hi. The beer in our mini-fridge was Dos Equis, Sol and Tecata. Alcohol brands in the bars included J&B Scotch, Bacardi, Absolute Vodka, Jack Daniels. Hope you have a great vacation! Live Aqua is a very good choice. We definitely enjoyed it, although we did think the quality of the cocktails was not up to the level we were expecting for this price-point resort. We have stayed at around 20 hotels in Cancun and surrounding areas this year, and the cocktails were very average for an all-inclusive.
I’m trying to decide between the Oceanfront Aqua Club room and the Terrace room as they are the same price. I know the big difference is the size of the balcony and the Aqua Club perks. Do you know if cabanas are included with the Aqua Club as I’ve been finding conflicting answers online? Also, do you think the Aqua Club perks are worth it when comparing it to the Terrace room? Is there an adequate amount of seating by the beach if you choose not to rent a cabana? Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide
I believe with Aqua Club you only get preferred reservations for the cabanas. When I was there, I found plenty of shaded space on the beach. But it might depend on the time of year and occupancy level as to whether you will experience the same on the beach as I did. Personally, if I had the choice between the two, I would take the Aqua Club, as you will get upgraded liquor choices, the butler, and the lounge. I wouldn't use the terrace that much, as I would be out at the pool and beach all day. But that's my personal preference.
@@Passporttotravel Thanks so much for taking the time to respond! We’re planning on going towards the end of November so I don’t think it will be too crowded. Are the upgraded liquor choices only at the Aqua Club lounge and through room service? I was under the impression that top shelf liquor was included resort-wide regardless if you have Aqua Club status or not. Is that not accurate? Also, what extras does that butler provide besides making those cabana and dinner reservations for you upon your request? Sorry for all the questions. This is our first time at an all inclusive resort and I feel like the Live Aqua website doesn’t provide a great amount of information.
The butler will help you check in and out, as well as unpack for you. Anything you want really. The regular puts at the bar are premium but your selection is better in the lounge - that is the difference.
We just booked LA for our 2nd visit. We loved it in December so much that we are going back for Labor Day weekend. We can party in the swim up pool bar or we can chill by the main infinity pool. In the mornings we enjoy breakfast then relax on the beach. The food is great in all the restaurants.
I won't recommend this resort to anyone, especially if you travel with a group. At the MB restaurant they tried to give us an alternate menu because we were in a group. When we complained to the manager of the restaurant, we got a rude response and he actually said "then leave." We did confirm the menu with our butler because we had people with restricted diets. Several of us also had to change rooms due to inferior air conditioning.
I was there a few weeks ago. I loved it, and can not wait to go back.
Not surprising. This is a great resort!!
I have been here three times in one year. I like it very much, the staff is nice, the food is delicious. And I will go again in October.
The food is great - totally agree!
Did you get the butler service?
No, I did not get butler service, but if you do, let me know how you liked it!

That sounds great!
Loved this place
I thought they had great food, with minor exceptions. I loved the stations they set up around the outdoor areas during lunch and dinner.
Hey what website did you book ?

That's really too bad. We had exceptional service and food at MB. I would have been upset too if I had received the service that you did.

I guess he REALLY disliked his experience at LA.
