This Rick, C137, likely in an effort to track down Rick Prime, went to Rick Prime's original Earth and assumed his role in the family. That Earth later went through an apocalyptic event, implied to be Rick C137's fault, which seemingly wiped out all humans on the planet except Rick C137 and the Beth, Jerry, Summer and Morty of that world. After that, Rick took that Morty, Rick Prime's original Morty, and took him to the family they've been living with throughout the season.

@coolcharles4594 their all miserable. Flawed. Rick is just articulate and conscious about it. For all his brains he just fails to realize he could change for the better. Or he has realized the possibility and realized that such a responsibility for such a smart and capable person to be good would be too great. And he isn't the kind of person to do that. He even scoffs at the idea.
As most people aren't able to produce things that could basically save and better lives at such a scale. Any life lost or failure he could have prevented. For him to be good he have to be a superhero that tettered on godlike abalities and technologies. And thus his onus to be good would be akin to gods.
Just because something is happening infinitely across infinite realities, does mean it has to take away from that something your experiencing now with the people your with now in the moment. It has much meaning as you decide to give it.

Considering the last season revealed the greater multiverse after Evil Morty took down the Finite Curve, there could be a dimension out there where Rick isn’t the smartest, but no one else is, the family has a different husband besides Jerry, Rick has a normal life, and the whole family is better off as a result. It’d be a bittersweet moment for Rick to go to said dimension and witness what he never got, what was taken from him: a normal, happy life.
@@garrettviewegh677 from what I took from it was that Rick created the central curve to protect his family by making him the smartest being in the Universe. It was a desperate attempt at protecting them himself. And he didn’t want all the messed up ricks getting to those normal universes so those ricks could live the life he always wanted. It also somewhat put a border around “Rick Primes” so he couldn’t permanently escape.

Occam’s Razor, there’s only one piece of continuity that Rick values and that’s Morty C-137. Thé flashbacks show us that he’s there when Morty is born and grows up with him. All the others could have been touched by Rick Prime but Morty of C-137 is who Rick got to be with and raise. He lost his wife and daughter but this grandson is special because he’s his grandson. It’s why his actions are always to protect Morty. Morty is special.

I think Rick Prime killing Rick's family reqches deeper than one would expect.
İf Rick's family hadn't got killed, Rick could raise his own Beth, have his own family. He sooner or later could create a working portal gun, hence learn about Citadel. Likely wouldn't fight with Council and would live a life adventuring across all dimensions, returning his own family at the end of the day. He could have his own blood Morty and his family would work like an anchor in a way, giving Rick a home, a stabile, safe point in the chaos through universes.
If he was there, wouldn't that mean he would not need a Morty?

Remember, boys and girls: This timeline may seem shitty, but there are just as many alternate realities where things are much worse as there are much better.
What Rick hasn’t told to anyone except shown Morty, his timeline is a handful of less than a dozen which he lost his wife and daughter.
He did not know how many alternate timelines were his family lived to the point of grandchildren - he had spent 10-25 years creating a teleport gun so he could chase down his vengeance and that all he known until he realized was hatred and anger.
It wouldn’t be till after traveling timelines and making friends (and enemies) did he find Rick Primes family timeline and decided to use them to get himself…but he underestimated Rick Primes attachment or rather lack of attachment.
And he began to become attached to Prime’s family…in his own way…or was it a different family…which family is it again?

Okay so what I think is that right there, Rick was LYING.
He was actually coming there to kill Beth, but once Beth was right there in front of him, he just couldn't do it anymore.
To clarify, there are infinite timelines with infinite possibilities created by infinite variables that will feature similar or different outcomes. This show had a chosen group of multiple universes that were being controlled by a multiversal organization of so-called geniuses, infinite is infinite no matter how much you attempt to finite it. Also, the multiversal/omniversal theories at least need to use a combination of math involving Space, Time, and Reality as well as using a sphere like image with webs that start at the center and split outward while spinning in an obvious direction. Also need to use World Tree as a rough space/dimension map setup.🤓😐😑😪

It’d be lonely at some point though. Knowing nothing matters, and that you could just go anywhere at anytime without consequences.. eventually you could have everything you ever wanted but it wouldn’t make you happy and I think that’s what the show is trying to get across to us, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Me personally though, I am already a cynical bastard so I’d probably someone take up that offer but at some point I do think probably go mad as time goes on, as I’d lose the interest and integrity of the things I love as I could just go anywhere and anytime where I’d have those things or people. The concept of it though just imagine there’s a timeline where you’re more happier and doing way better.. so at the same time it could be great, but eventually it’d become lonely and depressing having all that power in the multiverse. You know there’s a quote I am not sure where it came from, but it goes something like “the gods envied us, they envied us because of our immortality, because when we would stop to smell the roses we’d appreciate it more as death was always lurking in the shadows but as a god you can’t get that same appreciation because they literally can not die, when they smell the roses it’s not the same as it becomes mundane to them, boring and played out essentially. Imagine being able to smell the roses wherever whenever you want, but with that loss of appreciation it isn’t anything special to you anymore.. it’s no longer sacred. This is why the Gods would envy mortals, we have something they don’t.. something they would’ve had apparently created indirectly when creating death. We grew to appreciate life more than them, we can stop to smell the roses and truly appreciate its beauty while they can not.
By staying, he proved that the concept of a multiverse doesnt makes you less important. quite oposite, the idea of you thriving in your universe while other failed makes you more relevant than others.

In an infinite cosmos, there’s bound to be probabilities that this moment is not happening, that Rick’s family doesn’t exist or hates each other. So, wouldn’t it be special that this exact moment is happening on the cosmos despite the infinite probability of it not happening?
No.. just no. Because the timelines are infinite. Meaning this is happening at this exact moment in infinite realities, word for word, breath for breath, microscopic movement for microscopic movement. This exact moment same as I said has also already happened in infinite realities before it happened here, AND will happen in infinite realities in times to come

If anything less were to happen, statistics wouldn’t call the universe where they aren’t a happy family “special”, they would call it an outlier or an anomaly. For instance, Rick is known as the smartest man across all realities. This doesn’t discredit Rick’s genius because there are other versions of him that are also the smartest man, it would only solidify Rick as a special constant in the multiverse, that one man is the smartest in almost every conceivable reality. It would be an abnormality if in one universe Jerry was the smartest man in the universe, something outside of the multiversal constant.
I guess my point is based on what you would define as special. Does special mean that you are different, rare, an outlier in a cosmic bell curve, or could it mean that having a happy family in infinite realities even in a cosmos ever changing means that there is something that’s a universal constant about the situation? Does special mean you need to be 1 in a million or the event transpiring is special in itself given it’s a constant?
