Powerful message! Having been called names my entire life (obese female) I had to learn to accept myself or die trying. This video exposes the pain that is felt from labels and replacing it with love. Thank you. Well done!
Today at WGHS we had someone from the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio come and speak to us, Mrs. Carpenter, her words were so powerful. I opened up to everyone in the room about my struggles at WG, Bullying DOES happen. I am a androgynous kid who is 14 years old I am Pansexual and I AM REAL I am not a phase, I'M NOT PRETENDING. I have really weak skin but these words really meant a lot to me and I can't tell you how thankful I am for Mrs. Carpenter and this organization. My "label" people give me doesn't define me. I am me and I'm proud of it. Thank you so much for coming to speak at West G thank you so much.
I am a people lover. I don't care about genders, race, religion or nationality. People are who their heart is, regardless of what they look like. The world needs to grow up. You all are beautiful! I feel your pain. Never change. Be YOU!
That's for the sexuality too. People label themself gay, or les. I like both genders too - sexually - but I won't ever label myself. Sexually is fluid, and even if it isn't for some, I won't label myself. I never call a dark skinned human 'black' or a lighter skinned women 'white'. Or based on looks, will I never judge anybody. That's disgusting. I knew that all along, before those clips came out.
Totally agree with this message. I would caution as one of the people interviewed stated their parents were "intolerant." We need to be careful not to label others as well. It is easy to think of people who pass negative judgements as "other", this can sometimes be "us," so we need to watch for that. We cannot pass negative judgments on others and view it as bad when others do this to us, we have to be the change we want to see.
bruhhh why do people get hurt so easily..well ig that’s what makes everyone different it just gets kind of annoying like open your eyes realize that life can get crappy and when someone labels you it’s not really any meaning because you are you. you are a human whether you’d like to think you’re special or not
Seeing Clearly Ministry I agree that there are a lot of republicans are like that; however, there are some republicans and other right wing people that are intolerant.
So y’all don’t like names I understand that ! Neither does my 10 and 16 year olds that are disabled being called bigots etc for no damn reason! I don’t want to hear this..
The only reason there is bigotry and racism is bc the adults in charge have walked away from dealing with it properly. I worked for schools. I witnessed the teacher and principal’s apathy. You’re doing more damage, “diversity people” reinforcing the negative. It’s a very cunning video designed to bring down our kids’ self esteem. Nothing positive in this at all except that it’s very manipulative.
