Electrician Quick Tip 8 - Flex Connector Trick ⚡️
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 тра 2024
- Here is a little trick that I use every time that I’m fishing flex to a cut in box. While there are multiple different ways to achieve the same result, I find that being able to pull my flex from the center of the connector with the string makes a sometimes tedious task almost effortless. It has been a game changer for me and I think that it will be for you too. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Bruh i needed this tip yesterday lmao
I used e-tape to tape the string. Your idea is better thank you.
Copper swirl works too.
Hell yeah, great advice, need more!!!
Nice idea 💡
This will work great or look at the back of the box and if there’s a knockout in the back just pull your flex out of the wall insert everything and simply push the box back in the wall😊
Thanks for the advice on the cover letter and resume I’m going to start my portfolio soon and make time to go through the other apprenticeship series you have by chance did you cover dress code for the interview?
Nice 🤙💪⚡️
Nice
Does that flex need to be grounded to the box? Raceway within a raceway?
Holly fuck! Having flash backs of when I could’ve used this 😫😫😫😫
Crazy how some municipalities require conduit inside of the walls
That's pretty standard in Europe Already though we use PVC conduit. Makes it very easy to replace wires and helps prevent electrical fires
Everyday thing as a commercial electrician. Unbelievable how many this is new too. Literally the only known way to do it with flex . Mc cable you just use the wire.
Oh hush
Next electrician that works on that box will see the string and say he'll be back in a week.
Hilarious 😂😂
You actually can’t see it at all though once you cut it. There’s maybe an inch left and it springs back up into the connector once cut.
@@MadElectriciangood idea though. I've got a side project of running flex and mc through an insulated pole barn and this might come in handy
As Uk Spark, this would all be unnecessary and wasteful of materials 👍🏻
6” of string would be a waste? This is a situation where I think the time saved overshadows and extra material cost for string.
@@MadElectrician I’m not just talking about the string, I’m talking about pretty much all the materials used 👍🏻it’s just not how we’d do it in the UK
@@alhughes9698quiet you- y’all lost the war now deal with it. 😋
Just stop that stop that right now can I get three months of my life back ha ha ha ha
No room for wire
