I literally did the same thing. I thought from the thumbnail it was going to be a dupe for the unseen sunscreen, which I didn’t care for. The moment she said it’s slightly less glowy than the glow screen I was like hold on I gotta get my credit card

I am a store manager for Walgreens and typically all of the makeup brands have tons of launches in January and that’s when we redo the whole cosmetics section. They also tend to launch new stuff in the middle of the year and we redo the cosmetic section then too. Definitely more launches in January though!
My Walgreens has almost no makeup and almost no brands. It was a rite aid and they switched to Walgreens like 2 3 years ago and I was excited because normally Walgreens has some cool brands. I'm in Vermont.. it's small but still. Nope. Only brands they carry are Maybelline, L'Oreal, CoverGirl, black radiance, wet n wild, Almay, Neutrogena, elf, physicians formula and Rimmel. Quite a few but nothing new that they didn't already have and nothing different. And never get new things in. It's lame.
@Shayleigh those brands are what my Walgreens carry also. I'm in a bit of a smaller town. In the town over (which is larger), I can also find Milani and Revlon. So it does depend in where you're at.
@@kayla4702 I just see some have nyx and more brands like that. I can't buy brands like that almost anywhere near me. So I always have to order online. And I don't always want too.

Try on hauls are the best! Gets right to the point, which is how the product looks on.

Ok, hear me out...I'm pale (a tad lighter than Jess) & tried the luminous bronzer in Frequent Flyer. It's the deepest shade. It's a deep berry color...given its sheer formula, it's like a berry bronze & I loved it. You have to really buff it in but, it's a hidden gem for me for sure. At the price point, it was worth the risk...but pan size...agree...go bigger!
Yes, pan size is tiny. Maybe that’s why they made their putty bronzer brush so small? Lol.
Regarding the mascara: Instead of wiping it off, hold the wand tightly and wave it in the air for a few seconds. This is what I do with wet formulas, and it helps!
I do this too and I’m so surprised I don’t see more people (on the internet) doing the same. It gives the same effect of letting the mascara “dry out” for a few weeks after opening it. It definitely helps!
I've heard people having trouble with the milani mascara, I have it and LOVE it! Never had an issue with it being to wet or clumpy. I've been eyeing that sunscreen! And now im eyeing the palettes! Lol and yes yes yes PLEASE more drugstore videos!
SAME! I love the Milani mascara too! It does not clump at all for me. I love how it holds my curl all day, and it doesn’t smudge at all. I also love how my lashes don’t feel crunchy, they feel really soft while wearing it. And at the end of the day it falls right off with water. I don’t know why hers clumped so badly. Mine doesn’t at all, and I don’t even clean off the wand before I use it 🤷🏻♀️
I love the Milani mascara too! I do wipe soof the excess mascara off the wand but after a couple weeks when it dries out a bit I think it's perfect!
Same!! I had purchased it but not yet received it when this video was published and I was so bummed to hear that Jessica disliked it so much because my opinions usually align with hers pretty closely but I LOVE this mascara! It gives great length and separation, stays put all day without ever smudging under my eyes (a typical problem for me) and is so great to wash off at night. Proof that a product can work differently on each individual person!
I saw Flower Beauty of coming out with a liquid contour that looks like a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury. Excited about that one for sure.
IF the Milani tubing mascara is a dupe for the Thrive one (and I assume it is because the tube looks exactly like it, wand, etc.) - it's wet for a couple days, first 2-3 uses, and then it becomes AMAZING. The first use always sucks with Thrive and then it becomes the greatest mascara ever. I have to try it to see if it's the same because I hate paying the Thrive price!

That's so interesting. I had the opposite experience with thrive mascara. The first few uses, it looked amazing, and after that it was the worst looking mascara I've ever tried. Happened with 3 different tubes, so I've given up on it.
Totally separate from the makeup but I LOVE that top and all that colour on you, it looks great!

I feel the same way with most smaller eyeshadow palettes. They’re usually either missing a crease/blending shade for me or a light enough shimmer for the inner corner!
try on hauls are the most informative and helpful for me! i think quick hauls could have a place in vlogs instead of being stand alone videos since there’s more to gain from seeing the product in use

Flawless satin foundation shade beige is a great shade for cool fair light. I use the same shade as Jess most of the time, and I love this shade. Don't be fooled to thinking it is too deep for cool-fair light to light.

I’m almost positive the glow screen has mica in it and elf has better skin care ingredients in it so if your not for supporting mica in products and want good skin care, the elf is so good! I have both too and elf is just better in my opinion they also wear just as long for my dry skin at least i tried them side by side all day no other makeup too, it stays a long time
I’m gonna try it, I just wish it was a higher spf like the supergoop
@shannonwomack6069 yes I'd like to see the higher spf but for the price point I'll just wear a 2nd layer, make sure I do it every 2 hrs and not use it for thr beach.

I have started to use the tubing mascaras as a last coat on regular mascara. It still gives the tubing effect but you also get the effect of your favorite mascara. I have used the Milani in this way as well.

Drugstore tubing mascara: I am loving the Maybelline snapscara. I have very oily eyelids and lashes, mascara always smudges or flakes within 2 hours even if it's not summertime, or pulls out my lashes trying to remove waterproof... Snapscara washes off easily, doesn't flake or smudge, even the other day that I actually rubbed my eye, lol!

One that isn’t necessarily marketed as a tubing mascara at the drugstore but is: the L’Oréal double extend it’s in a white/red tube, primer on one side THAT WORKS WONDERS! Length separates light volume. Comes off SO easily!!! I love the Cali ray, thrive, tarte and hourglass tubing mascara but I always have the L’Oréal in my collection. It’s amazing!!!!
That was my holy grail mascara for years. It’s a great one. I feel like it was the first “tubing” mascara out there.

I agree! I've been wearing tubing mascara since the 90s when there was a brand from Australia on HSN or QVC, and I've tried them from Tarte, Kevin Aucoin, Trish McAvoy, several from Amazon, and for me, the L'Oréal beats them all, even before price.
@@SharrellKline how funny! It’s SOOO underrated or unknown. I know it’s not as obviously marketed as a tubing mascara. I love it. If I don’t use it alone, I ALWAYS use the primer that stuff is gold and then I seal any other mascara I use with it to turn it into a tubing mascara. It’s amazing… the Cali ray one is as well.

Nope you're not alone Jess, in a palette I like: inner corner highlight, matte crease colour, matte outer corner colour and a shimmery lid colour - for this reason my favourite smaller palettes are Colourpop going coconuts, Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte darling, Natasha denona mini palettes (some not all) 👌

I was so excited to try the Milani tubing mascara that I ordered it from Walgreens before it was available in stores near me. I HATED it and was so disappointed that it wasn’t a dupe for Thrive. I agree that it looked like I had about five lashes and I also noticed some lash fallout when I washed off the tubes. Returned!!
We have similar tastes in a lot of makeup but especially eye shadows. You should try the Moira Cosmetics palettes. I bought one and was so impressed with the quality of the shimmers and mattes that I have purchased two more. Endless Moonlight, Chasing Eternity and Time to Shine are all spectacular! The packaging is top notch as well, and they are affordable. Win, win, win!!!

I just got the ElF Suntouchable last week and took it on my vacation to Hawaii and it is AMAZING!!!!! It leaves a healthy glow and really does protect you from the harsh sun. Looks great under makeup and Fantastic by itself. It is a must!!!!

TUBING MASCARA! If you haven’t tried the ULTA BEAUTY COLLECTION LASH FLASH MASCARA, try it! It’s like 9 bucks and even cheaper on sale. I think they missed the marketing because there is not “tubing” in the name but it is a tubing mascara. It’s a little more on the wet side but nowhere near like that one you just tried! I really enjoy it for 12+ hr night shifts as a L&D Nurse, doesn’t budge and isn’t easily removed with tears but also isn’t impossible to remove like waterproof!
I believe your shade you had mentioned for the elf powder was 150c. I added it to my list to try because I had bought a shade way too light for me previously.
My 2nd attempt with that mascara was more pleasant than the 1st. So give it another try. I really LOVE the Milani Anti Gravity mascara.
Agreed! Yes, it's wet but now that I've had it a few weeks and it's dried out a bit, it's excellent.
It's interesting - I only use tubing mascaras too. My FAVORITE is the maybelline sky high, which is pretty wet. I tried the Tarte tubing on your recommendation and hate it lol SO dry. I think it really matters whether your lashes respond well to wet formulas which mine do (they're very thin, long, and curled). So this makes me actually excited to try the Milani one!

The best drugstore tubing mascara in my opinion is the L’Oréal one that’s double ended and half is red/half white.

Hi Jessica! Long, Looooong time subscriber here...I very rarely comment on YT videos, but I wanted to share a tip with you about the mascara. Now I haven't tried the new Milani mascara yet, but I will say more wet formulas require a bit more finesse. Over the years, I've watched you apply your mascara and you tend to apply it in sort of a carefree way and very quickly, which in turn causes you to always have to take it off your bottom lashes. I know you like the no mascara on your bottom lashes look, and since your top lashes are pretty long, it may help if you slowed down your application on the top and really focus on getting it at the base of the lashes then working your way up the lash. I also take the wand on top of the lashes and roll it through to get more volume with wetter formulas. I hope my comment is helpful! All LoVe here💜🫶🏾
I'm excited to try the bronzer. I never thought of giving the glowy one a second look but it really looks like something I'd like. I've been trying to find a very subtle bronzer for my mature skin.
I agree with the eye shadow palettes. Its never just right.

My fave drugstore tubing mascara is L'Oreal age perfect lash magnifying mascara in easy to remove waterproof. 👍👍
Also went and ordered the sunscreen and cool toned bronzer. I’m a sucker for any bronzer. And yes, I’m a drugstore fan for makeup, but not their eyeshadows. With the exception of Colourpop of course. I did not care for the Milani mascara. I am a self proclaimed mascara connoisseur! I love trying mascaras. I have long lashes and am super picky about them. It gave length for me but flaked in my eyes and on my face. It was also not dark. It’s a no for me. I’ll keep ordering the Thrive.

Sometimes I probably look like a disco ball so I do wear supergoop alone. But totally agree elf price point is so much better.

For mascara I like using the shop miss a in the neon yellow tube as a primer and then put either super hero or lash princess on top. I'm 41 and my lashes are super sparse now.

I use the elf putty bronzer in feelin shady everyday to contour. I’m super fair and right now it’s the only cool tone bronzer I like with my complexion.
I did purchase the milani mascara. I did like it at first. I used it about 3 times. By the 4th time I hated it. It clumped my lashes together. I did use an eyelash comb. I ended up throwing it away. I'm going to stick with old faithful essence lash princess (mint green). I always love the way my lashes look. I remember thinking the elf foundation was very pretty. I may have to try it again. I am interested in the new physician formula butter glow press powder. I did place an order online at Ulta. I hope I love it.
