The only story that even Shane himself couldn't avoid the spooks is the story of Voice in the Walls. That one made me, a person with a love for creepypastas and the chills it brings, nearly throw up because of the overwhelming horror I felt. I was sick to my stomach, teared up due to the sick feeling, and hyperventilated a few times. But thanks Shane for breaking the tension.

Our back doors to our deck are giant sliding glass doors. About 10ft tall and and 18ft wide. Gives a nice view of the forest behind the o house. No curtains or anything, but I’ve never felt freaked out or unsafe

Growing up I had a neighbor who knew my parents worked at night so he’d always be around incase we needed his help. Not in a creepy way or anything. We just always knew we could text/call him or go over to his house if we needed help. Occasionally he’d text us a “dinners ready if you want to join” or a “make sure your doors are locked up.” His porch light and back light on, all night (his house was directly next to ours so we could go up to the back door via a gate in the backyard fence) and he made sure each of my siblings and I had a key for both doors. It wasn’t abnormal for him to wander around his back yard at night while smoking and taking his dog out, and would use a flashlight to check his yard and ours before bed. My neighborhood was really poor so there was a lot of us kids home alone at night and he always made sure everyone felt safe. A few times he actually did protect us or another neighbor from some sketchy situation. I hope someday I can be that kind of neighbor. The kind of neighbor that feels like family and will help you in your time of need. JJ, from next door, really became an uncle to me and my siblings. When I travel home for holidays, he’s always one of the people I’m most excited to catch up with.

The worst thing ever is the feeling of being watched at a park when no one is around. Panic sets in fast when you have anxiety and you can feel eyes on you from every angle with no one in sight.
Yeah, I’m younger so I don’t have a car quite yet, so I ride my bike to the park that’s a couple blocks away from my house. I find things to do but then suddenly feel as if I’m being watched from every angle. After that I just run back to my bike and ride throughout the neighborhood as far away from the park and as close to my house as possible. I don’t want anyone suspicious knowing where I live, so once I see that I’ve lost anyone that could’ve been following me I go home.
Can we talk about how well the narrator handled this terrifying situation, particularly as a young teen?? And then to be able to recount the traumatic story in such a gripping, detailed manner is amazing to me. @@uckbritley1305 so I've been through a traumatic situation,not as bad as this but still, basically you get so scared its almost like you forget common sense. It's hard to describe because of course when your thinking straight you call the cops, but when you're going through this soul crushing fear all you can think is "I need to survive till the next minute, I just need to survive" and that type of thinking makes you forget to call and forget to even move sometimes. I know in my case I couldn't move I could hardly breathe even though the best choice would have been to run and call the cops i simply couldn't. I hope that makes any sort of sense

The 14 year old gay kid who had apparently been dating the same boy since he was 12 (call me a skeptic, I don't believe early teen relationships last that long), a 3 story house within the delivery range of a Dominoes (suburban upper middle class), the fact that the kid didn't call the cops, and the fact that there was a child predator who used his job as a delivery driver to find victims. There were far too many things for this not to be on national fucking news for years. Not finding anything about it really drove home that my suspicions were correct.

As someone who lived through the 80’s and 90’s as a lesbian teen, hearing that so many teenagers can now be open about themselves and have a same sex relationship makes me so emotional 😭 I’m so glad that there are little pockets of safety all over where queer kids can feel comfortable with themselves or with being in a relationship

the real problem here is the large fucking glass sliding door thing. those things provide zero defense against home invasion. Industry Grade construction is the only way to go for those kinds of structure, you know those extremely hard glass that stops sledge hammers.

This is genuinely one of my worst fears. And I live in the middle of nowhere, so literally nobody but my cat would hear my screams.
The worst thing ever is the feeling of being watched at a park when no one is around. Panic sets in fast when you have anxiety and you can feel eyes on you from every angle with no one in sight.

Yeah, I’m younger so I don’t have a car quite yet, so I ride my bike to the park that’s a couple blocks away from my house. I find things to do but then suddenly feel as if I’m being watched from every angle. After that I just run back to my bike and ride throughout the neighborhood as far away from the park and as close to my house as possible. I don’t want anyone suspicious knowing where I live, so once I see that I’ve lost anyone that could’ve been following me I go home.
Can we talk about how well the narrator handled this terrifying situation, particularly as a young teen?? And then to be able to recount the traumatic story in such a gripping, detailed manner is amazing to me. I'm shocked and saddened this is based on a true experience...Whoever the narrator is, I hope they know they are such a strong survivor!!

@@uckbritley1305 so I've been through a traumatic situation,not as bad as this but still, basically you get so scared its almost like you forget common sense. It's hard to describe because of course when your thinking straight you call the cops, but when you're going through this soul crushing fear all you can think is "I need to survive till the next minute, I just need to survive" and that type of thinking makes you forget to call and forget to even move sometimes. I know in my case I couldn't move I could hardly breathe even though the best choice would have been to run and call the cops i simply couldn't. I hope that makes any sort of sense

And he still made the split second decision to stab the guy in the foot, honestly he handled himself very well for his age and better than some adults, he’s a survivor indeed.

The 14 year old gay kid who had apparently been dating the same boy since he was 12 (call me a skeptic, I don't believe early teen relationships last that long), a 3 story house within the delivery range of a Dominoes (suburban upper middle class), the fact that the kid didn't call the cops, and the fact that there was a child predator who used his job as a delivery driver to find victims. There were far too many things for this not to be on national fucking news for years. Not finding anything about it really drove home that my suspicions were correct.

the real problem here is the large fucking glass sliding door thing. those things provide zero defense against home invasion. Industry Grade construction is the only way to go for those kinds of structure, you know those extremely hard glass that stops sledge hammers.
