Dark Fire POV | NoLimits 2 | Portable Intamin Launch Coaster | Double Trouble Contest

- This was my entry into the Double Trouble - Transportable Coaster Contest. It gave the challenge of building 2 portable coasters, a family and a thrill coaster, on two separate plots of land (more details can be found here: nolimitscentra.... For the thill coaster (in the video), I really tried to make it have a good look to it, always having some crazy element staring at you from every angle you look. Also, the idea for it was to have it be intense and have a lot of taller and steeper elements. While this does hurt the element to element pacing a little, I tried to make each element really pop to make up for it. Also just a little note, the coaster is completely hand built.
You can download and explore the park more in depth at: nolimitscentra...
STATISTICS:
-Length: 1150m / 3750ft
-Top speed: 91 km/h / 56mph
-Hight: 32m / 105ft
-Inversions: 7
-Duration (from first launch to brakes): 1:07
This is a great design, but the time they set it up, the summer time fair would be gone and so would Christmas lol
Yup XD
This is actually a shorter ride than Olympia Looping, obviously not as compact though
@@littlebendixon93 Is it? In time or length? Possibly in time as it's a launch coaster but it seems to go on forever, and because of the speed you're hurtling through all of it I'd say some serious track length
If they can get the Olympia Special Looping Bahn up in 21 days, this could be erected in less than 30. I say build it. I'll take two. One in blue please and thanks.
@@robhaley5136 A bit of a late reply to this. According to the stats listed for this ride it’s 3750ft long, Olympia Looping is 4101ft
I can hear Robb Alvey already...
"twistyyyyy!"
Big fan of the concept. I’d love to see Intamin try something like this modern day. Eurostar failed but I feel like all of the new technology could make a far better coaster.
That looks like a "wtf did I just ride" kinda coaster. In a awesome way! Great ride concept!
Thank ya! :)
That inversion into the MCBR is incredible!
Thanks! :D
This is the most non-portable-looking portable coaster I’ve ever seen. Definitely very awesome though.
Lol Thanks. I wanted to try doing truss style supports (or whatever they're called) to make it somewhat portable looking, but time was not on my side so I just threw on some pipes, slapped a base frame on it, and called it good
Awesome u have a new fan
Aw thank ya! :D
Is this ride McDonalds because I'm loving it
XD thanks!
mcdonalds sucks
@@bigstanky2037 You're plain wrong
@@360coasters you’re
@@bigstanky2037 What's the best fast food chain?
That’s insane!! I love it!
XD Thanks!!
I love the fact that you have two MCBR's, That alone would crank capacity like a champ. 3 trains in motion, one loading and one in the forward final break run........
Its a dream come true that actually looks really fun.
if I had a nickel for every time you ended a roll with an airtime moment, I'd have two. Which isn't a lot but it's awesome that it happened twice
that should win for sure
thanks! but there is some tough competition so idk, but one can hope 🤞
Back seat pov would be even MORE invigorating!!! STILL this is AWESOME! Especially the lack of 'trim' at the mcbr!👏👏👏
XD thank you so much! :D
Nice inversions, pacing, and layout!!
Good job!!!
Thanks! :)
The succes of a portable coaster is to make a support collum suport as much as it can do. use as little support as possible. Dreier Looping, Olympia Looping, Triller, Alpina Bahn all have a mountain like shape, so a lot of support colloms can have more functions. Try this in your next portable coaster
Yah I know, but I only had about a day to do all the supports and so I didn't have time to do lighter trestle style support system to actually make it transportable, so I just pretended it was a regular coaster and threw a base frame on it lol (btw this was for a contest)
Thats a pretty cool coaster!
Thanks! :)
Impressive! a little rough though at 0:58 and the next 4 seconds.
This ride should replace wicked twister
Really dig this A LOT. That said, I feel like the inversions were getting repetitive. I know you used them to keep this compact, so it's definitely not taking anything away from that.
Thanks! And yah, I tried to think of stuff that weren't just rolls, but I could only fit in 2 stall type things. However, even though there are a lot of roll inversions, I tried to make them all feel different (the first one over the station is a -0.5gs throughout, one is a barrel roll, and the zero-g rolls are all in different contexts). But emphasis on tried, I guess you could say this really just a first draft as while planning it, I just did the first thing that worked.
Love it!
It’s an amazing coaster not sure how easy it would be to use a traveling coaster tho
Thanks! And yah, maybe with a skinnier and more dense structure (instead of all the large beams) it would be more transportable, but I didn't really have the time for it.
Great pacing and layout, maybe change the rail colors but still a sweet ride
This would be very fun. That inverted trim section would be insane, never seen something like that. At least, it looked like trims lol, maybe it was a launch and I didn't notice.
Thanks! And it is a launch, just a little short. It's inspired by the one on the Intamin Vertical LSM concept (ua-cam.com/video/vwQ3FskQVFE/v-deo.html). I thought it'd be fun to see how I could incorporate something like it into a full scale coaster :)
Amazing
Aw thanks! :)
Sooo lit
I think if there was ever an intamin traveling coaster it would be a single rail one
Cool
Thanks! :)
would it work irl?
I mean, probably with some better supports and other things, it could work. At least I'd like to imagine so lol
So is this like a game where you can make these? I think there really cool.
Yah, they can take a while and there's a little bit of a learning curve, but I've found it very worth it :) you can download it here: nolimitscoaster.com/
love ittt
Thankss! :)
@Jackson Grace how long did it take
@@masongould6991 Around 25 hours, I'm pretty picky with track shaping :)
@Jackson Grace im saving up for pc rn and i cant wait to buy no limits and planet coaster
@@masongould6991 Nice!
I really like it but considering how it is portable sit is very long
I guess this is the intamin equivalent of Eurostar.
eurostar was an intamin
What is this size? I wonder how much the constrain you choose to make this
It's 105ft tall
@@jacksongrace What about length and width? Thanks for replying
@@bocahdongo7769 Np! It's about 3750ft long and has dimensions of 150x330ft (about 50,000sq. ft). :)
@@jacksongrace Ah see, that is bigger than I expected, thanks a lot
The coaster is great but the color scheme not so much
Thanks, and yah, colors aren't really my specialty
Screw rmc, this thing has interesting inversions
XD thanks, but rmc is pretty cool tbh lol, can't wait to try one of their rides one day :)
Portable not really
What do ya mean? They could totally move it...
once...
Planet coaster is better
That upside down launch tho.
How many inversions does it have
It's got 7, so basically a B&M floorless level of loopiness :)
Great. Just great. Nothing else. Just great.
Btw how come no manufacturer makes traveling coaster!? I love fairs and this just pisses me off! Come on rmc, vekoma, b&m anyone just anyone make a damn traveling coaster it’s an untouched market with practically no competition so make a damn traveling coaster!
I LEFT MY STOMACH BACK AT THE FIRST LAUNCH. 👍👍
love this color scheme and if this was made a reality it would be the best traveling coaster ever
Aw thanks! :)
Great fair coaster, but it’s a terrible idea for being transportable due to it getting rough, having to weld it every time it gets set up, and overall intamin launch coasters shouldn’t be portable… especially with an UPSIDE DOWN LSM
Lol yeah, I pretty much said screw it to actually making the layout transportable, just kinda slapped a base frame on it (btw it was for a transportable coaster contest)
@@jacksongrace ohhhh lol 😂
