    See this Camaro in my bubble here? I remember being stuck under my car changing the alternator in pouring rain. I personally hate cold and wet, especially together. But I love my baby. I'm glad to see the cold doesn't stop you from doing what you love!

    You have an L85, I believe. I think that's what's in my flex fuel 04 suburban. It's an lm7 with some fuel system changes to handle high ethanol. Just has different hoses, pump, injectors and whatnot. The engine itself is the same.

    That last cylinder on the driver side near the firewall it's common issue on those five threes for a misfire to happen on that one due to bad seals for the valves my '05 Tahoe has the same issue on that particular cylinder

    While your at it. Get rid of that clutch fan and swap over some efans from the newer trucks. The factory harness will connect to your pcm and let you have full control over them. Free up some power in the process. Lots of aftermarket support for that truck.

    Hey Matt! Quick question, I seen a video where you did a quick oil change on Tahiti and you mentioned that you were using the shell rotella. Im currently running the royal purple in my 05 suburban z71 with 245k ,but considering switching. My question is how’s the rotella holding up and why’d you choose to run the rotella?
    Huge fan btw! I’ve just about watched all of your videos but I can’t find that one we’re you did the oil change

    I dont know if you did it or not, but I've always used a tiny bit of dilectric grease on the porcelain part of the plug. It keeps the boot from seizing on the plug and makes future maintenance easier. Great video!

    Be careful with the wiring that goes to the throttle body when taking off the intake. Otherwise you'll get the dreaded " reduced power " error.

    Hey man. This question is related to your Camaro. I have a 88 Camaro with the 2.8 and want to do a v8 swap. What would you recommend as far as a motor and transmission for someone who is new to this.

    • @lsxmatt
      @lsxmatt  5 років тому +2

      If you wanna keep it simple you can do a carb’d 350 from an iroc or something. More expensive, but also a much better payoff and platform for future big hp, I would do some kind of ls swap.

    Matt, throw some Restore Engine Restorer in that bad boy. Should help bring cylinder 7 back up to par. Here's a video test done by another UA-camr I like that shows what that stuff can do. It's too cheap not to try.
