Mercy Brown died in January and she was exhumed that March. It’s cold in Rhode Island. She just hadn’t been thawed out for very long. There’s no mystery there, especially if you’ve ever thawed out a frozen piece of beef and seen blood still in it.
As both a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, and a paranormal investigator, please leave Mercy Brown's grave in peace. Too many have caused vandalization and been disrespectful of the grounds.
We messed with a homemade ouiji board when we were in our early 20s and a little girls contacted us and told us that she hated me and the experiences I had for YEARS afterwards 😢 I used to have dreams where I’d be in the place I’d fallen asleep but awake and fully conscious and there would be someone or something in the room with me that I couldn’t see, only feel it’s presence and it frightened me so bad. I’d be telling myself frantically repeatedly to wake up. Eventually I would covered in sweat. Never will mess with one again!!!

There are cases of people with demonic attachments throughout life from playing with a ouija board as a child. Something a priestly deliverance prayer could resolve, if he’s knowledgeable on the topic.

TY for going over the last one. While its not a typical spooky mystery...many places in the USA have land owners close to millitary base and no one has any idea who owns it. This latest one is being fought a little because some of the farmers don't trust the sale. The suspicion currently is Chinese shell companies. this issue needs more coverage.

Plot twist: the area isn't zoned for urban development, so good luck with that.
"15min Cities" is the new term for "Utopia" under the guise of progressive, liberal dystopian nightmare.

My mother always told me never to play with ouija boards, and never allowed them in the house. When I was older, I asked her why and she told me that she had played around with one once with a few of her cousins and she'd had a very frightening experience. I couldn't get her to tell me exactly what happened, but I believed that she was sincere and I've never touched an ouija board. Don't plan to ever touch one in the future, either.
The last one freaks me out more than any of these😬
With the land buying situation, We have had similar issues here in the UK, I can't go into detail, but it could well be the government themselves under other pretences. I was tasked with doing some digging around site (X) and when things came back to the government I was asked to just leave it, as it wasn't relevant anymore. So I did.
your own government buying land around a base makes sense, our concern here is that a few of these have come back as being owned by the same foreign companies (I think one in Michigan and 2 others are confirmed as being part of a Chinese shell corporation likely owned by CCP). However the CA one is the largest yet and the base its near a more important base on defense side (rather than training for example) and said to have a secret testing department.

Bodies don't necessarily decompose straight away sometimes they can take momths or years to fully decompose it depends on how much they are exposed to sunlight
Personal story; Courthouse Bay, NC USA March-May 2013. We made an Ouija Board and played it in the barracks of our training unit in the community room. We started having the TV flicker during movies and couch cushions moved or thrown across the room. The laundry lights wouldn't work if you went alone. The commotion caused the unit to ban the use of the boards and threaten anybody involved with an NJP. Must have scared somebody enough. Oops.
Ouija Boards are definitely dangerous
I do have a Ouija board story, but it was so long ago now that I can't tell if what happened was due to me already being creeped out by my friend's house. I had 3 paranormal experiences at her house specifically, which included things I could see, touch and smell. But the Ouija board incident was something I saw and heard. I was sleeping over at her house and for some reason her dad thought it was completely fine to let us use this thing. We didn't have any experiences with the board itself while using it, and that made me feel so much better about it and her house. But then in the middle of the night after we had gone to sleep, the Ouija board and the little focal glass whipped across her room and down her stairs. Her room was in kind of an attic type space, so there was a spiral staircase leading up to it. It had an iron railing, a landing platform in the middle where two windows were and then a smaller set of stairs to her room. Loft-vibes. The board and the focal point flew from the table we had left it, hit the window and then landed at the very botton of the stairs where the door to the rest of the house was. I remember distinctly leaving the board and the focal on the table. I remember hearing the window hit, twice. And I remember us waking up, turning the light on, looking over the lofted railing and seeing both pieces laying on the floor. We were too scared to do anything, so we went back into the bed and laid there until the sun came through the windows. The memory feels very surreal now, as this happened when I was in 8th grade (2001/2002-ish?) and I am mid-30's now.
I'm pretty sure the figure in the sheet is just a mannequin with a drape over it. I can definitely see a face and the wig on its head draped over her shoulders. Behind her in the store is hanging a plastic bag hanger for dresses.
Ouija Board, played around with a home made one, and I had the cards, also had 2 spirits try to get into my body, thankfully they never succeeded, won’t even be in the same room or have a ouija board in the same house as I am.

Ouija boards can be innocuous but if it's the right person or person's and the right place they can be dangerous, play at your own risk.

The townspeople were stupid, and they put that poor man through hell.
My college roommates and I had a party one weekend and someone brought an Ouija board. Mostly everyone was not interested in using it but me and my roommate did. At first we were fucking around with each other, then we both started saying that we weren't moving it. I know I wasn't, and what happened next proved that my roomate wasn't either. A friend of our other roomate, whom we all met for the first time that night, said "This is bullshit. If it's real ask it where my brother (gave name) is right now." It started to spell something out, and his face turned white and he ran out. My roomate ran after him, the dude was sobbing in the hallway. What the board spelled out, was the name of the cemetery where this dudes brother was buried earlier that year. I have never used one since.
Im 45 my sister is 47 when i was 12 we were playing on a board and we kept asking semi dumb questions and the we were like how old are you and it slowly spelt out Billy The Kid. Freaked us out big time
Most people think its all fun and games, messing with a ouiji board. Don't do that. 1, never mess with things you don't understand and 2, sometimes you will contact things that are not humans, ie demons. Don't mess with those things and Don't try to contact the dead. leave the dead dead and never contact the other side. You never know what might answer.
My Cousin and her friend made a ouiji board out of the back of her notebook and cutting a piece of a paper for the eye.
They sat where we all were during the first recess, playing it. A spirit who said his name, but I can't remember what it was. He claimed to be an 18 year old boy who died in a car accident.
For reference, my cousin is a very beautiful woman, so even more so when we were teens. Because of this, this spirit began flirting with my cousin, saying he wanted her to be his girlfriend, and other things that were disturbing. Needless to say it began to freak my cousin out.
As I was standing by watching them, I got very protective of her, and decided to stick a middle finger over the eye, telling the spirit that he wasn't allowed to mess with my cousin! At this they eye spelled out "Kill Nora". Seeing this I became enraged, and started yelling Kill me?! KILL ME?! You can't kill me, because Jesus lives in me!! At that, you could almost feel the spirit leave. I was angry with my cousin for even playing around in the spiritual realm. I took the board and eye from her and her friend, and attempted to set the eye on fire, which should've burned easily, being it was made of notebook paper. But for some reason it wouldn't burn. So I just crumpled it up and threw it in a trash can near us.
Then I began to tear up the cardboard, at which point the recess bell to return to class rang. My Cousin and her friend made their way to class as I finished tearing the board into pieces, and threw it across the grass area behind the school building we were at. Now mind you, my cousin and her friend were already at the other end of the building, and nowhere even remotely close to me, when I threw these pieces.
Fast forward, and after that class was now lunch recess, and we all met up back at our spot, we were just at. I had beat my cousin there, as my class I had was in the same building we hangout at. So as I'm stand there, I hear my cousin scream my name, and as I turn, I see her and her friend running towards me crying.
No automatically I began to go towards her yelling, What?! What?! Worried someone was trying to fight with them. But it turns out, as they reach me, they both opened their school folders to show me that somehow a big piece of the ouiji board I ripped up, and I threw on the grass was now in there.
See this I immediately turned to look at the area I threw the pieces, which I ripped into much smaller then was what was in their folders. Only to realize the pieces weren't there.
Seeing this, I became angry, and I have to admit, a little freaked out, but I didn't let my cousin see it. I took the pieces from both of them and scolded them. Telling them they are NEVER allowed to play with this shit again!!
Needless to say I spent all of that lunch trying to set the pieces on fire and burn them completely. It burnt a little, but I was unable to completely demolish it.
When the bell rand again, I made sure to crush the pieces as much as possible, waited to my cousin and her friend were out of sight and threw what remained in the trash bin, pushing it far down as possible.
My Cousin never touched that crap again!

What I like to know about the Ouija Board is its origin, era, who created it and perhaps the first practice of communicating with the dead or evil entities.
It is not the sort of thing to play around with, I mean... there was once a toy version of it in the toy store of all places. :/

There still is ouija boards to buy in just about every toy store. I walked past one the other day. I tried one with my friends in school when very young, sometime before high school, but I don’t remember anything happening 😮😮😮
It wasn't that long ago that I saw a Oujia board in a Hobbytown USA store in Aushwaubenon, WI(I live in Wisconsin), and they were selling it for like $60. When I saw that, I thought to myself "Why?! Why is this being sold here? It's NOT a simple board game, like how they'd like you to believe!
I know it probably doesn't matter in today's marketplace, with all the online availability. But honestly. Hasbro (the chief manufacturer of ouija boards in the United States and known mostly for children's toys and games), in all good conscience, should stop making ouija boards and selling them as a board game. It's obscene.

the last land buying one is crazy. I lived on the tonnesen farm which also holds an animal gravesite where they bury the ashes of animals that have been creamated. It is right in front of the dump and right behind the base. I cant imagine them selling their land. but i moved away to the east coast about 5 years ago.

Regarding the land purchase, am I the only one who thinks it's really weird that foreign people and or companies are allowed to buy land in other countries? Like if that land was purchased by some Chinese company, China would almost literally own a piece of the USA. It's not only militarily oriented either since they're buying up tons of farmland in the states too.

Usually when one person says another sold me his/her/their possessions that one person is the guilty person. He may have been responsible for the family's disappearance.
I remember my cousins once used a Ouija Board at night. One of them, no matter what question she asked kept on getting the same answer: "Evil".
She didn't get scared, but got very annoyed at getting the same answer. She finally got fed up and left the game while my other cousins laughed at her expense.
I can tell you that nothing bad happened to her and she is currently happily married with 3 beautiful kids. But its still kind of creepy that no matter what questioned she asked, she always got an ominous answer.

The logical part of me wants to believe there’s nothing to Ouija board- that they’re nothing more than a toy/gimmick. But, at the same time, I believe in the supernatural just enough to not want to FAFO. I mean, it could be something along the lines of a cellphone where if you didn’t know exactly what a cellphone was, but you knew to use it, the user poked the screen with their finger then held it to their ear and talked into it, you could poke the screen, hold it to your ear, and talk to it all you want and nothing would happen. But, not fully knowing what a cellphone is and how it works, you might just not know when the circumstances are right to properly use it, like whether it has full signal or not. So, you could use it twenty times while unknowingly being within a dead zone and nothing would happen, but you use it that one time when it’s within sight of a cell tower and this time the call connects, then fifteen minutes later a guy knocks on your door because you called him…

My mom told me a story that when she was 15 in Mexico she was playing a ouija board wit her cousins and sister, the piece only moved on her.. she asked who her boyfriend will be and it spelled out “Mateo”.. She then said that months later, she ran into a very handsome, tall, colored eyed man by the name of Mateo, who later asked her out & became her boyfriend. She said she’s never seen him around b4 and that he just moved from another city. They didn’t last ofc but shit crazy & hard to believe lol.

Even though now I’m 50some years old back when I was under 10 years old, my grandmother passed away, and for some reason my sister and brother brought out a Ouija board. We had a cat named tiger laying on the chair. They started talking to the Ouija board and asked if grandmom was there to make the cats paws more End it happened I don’t like them. They’re scary.

Incorruptible bodies are a sign of Sainthood in basically every religion. Yet in Protestantism if they find and incorruptible body they immediately jump to the conclusion “she must be a vampire” then proceed to desecrate the body of an innocent girl.

Here's a idea; if you don't want dodgy people buying land around your airbase, don't allow it to be put up for sale in the first place. Or better yet buy it yourselves.
Many military installations are sprawling complexes. Some have their own game wardens, and other provisions for managing large tracts of land. They do indeed buy up land, but it is simply not possible to buy the kind of acreage involved. Try getting some info before posting nonsense.

That first one.... that's an extremely superstitious and believing culture, it wouldn't be hard to cause that.
I grew up with Ouija boards, as did both my mother and my grandmother. The only bad experience I had was when my sister had a party and told her friends about our board, and they decided to "play "with it. The only people that have problems with the boards are people that bring negative energy and thoughts to it, or those people that are just complete idiots.
