This is Too Close To Home, the video series where we dig up creepy, mysterious, and unexplained stories from our patrons' hometowns. Are you curious about the eerie events that may have happened in your hometown? If so, you'll want to join the Too Close To Home Video Tier, while our team of talented researchers will dig up haunted tales, creepy encounters, UFO sightings, and true crime events within a 20+ mile radius of your area.

If this Cemetary of the insane is the same one located in America's South, I believe there's an eerie twist to that story. The patients there were given chores as part of their "therapy." One day, the group of male patients whose job it was to trim/mow the grass around the many crosses decided that it was too tedious. It took too much effort to avoid hitting the markers with the mower. Their solution was to remove ALL the markers and toss them in a pile to one side of the Cemetary. Obviously they were unaware of the meaning of the placement of the markers. For years, the crosses remained where they were, even after the facility shut its doors. A group was formed out of the nearby community who began to maintain the Cemetary. It was finally decided they felt it was better to re-erect all the crosses( even tho they had no idea of their matching graves). Its said that the Cemetary has been extremely haunted for the fact that the grave markers were first all removed, then replaced back to the wrong graves.👻🙀😥
