I watched this video while researching this nailer and the extended mag option definitely helped sell me one buying one. I just converted my 20 to 22 degree with the extended mag. Took all of about 3 mins to do. It came with an additional screw and the new mad has an additional built in bracket that adds an additional attachment point to the handle base. Same exact 3 screw swap but the 20 to 22 has the additional attachment point. Super quick and easy upgrade for sure. Nice video thanks for the info 👍🏻.
thanks for this video.... i just bought an extended clip yesterday for the same nailer I just bought a few weeks ago. The instructions are lame... it says to remove 3 screws. I DID remove 3 screws, but the wrong ones. I removed the first one you did, then the one further up the mag on the same side (was a little smaller) and the same sized one on the opposite side (same size as the first one). Removing those 3 DID allow me to take the magazine off but the new extended one would not fit.... so I chalked it up to being for an older gen Framing nailer and I was about to return the magazine until i saw your video!

They could have offered the gun with the standard or longer nail slide and just charged the difference. Having to pay full price for it is crazy.
This looks exactly like the metabos. Do you think it would fit possibly on the cordless metabo?

@@colekidd2 damn…I guess I’ll have to try and find a busted 21 degree pneumatic and harvest the magazine from it then. I have seen that conversion work.

Can you load 2 racks plus have the last unused nails from the previous rack? For the 30 degree one rack capacity version I have to unload the last 5 nails that didn't fire, then load in a new clip.
I imagine you didn't get this kit, but I'm curious if the tool with the extended magazine will fit in the included soft case now.
My 20 to 22 degree fits with the extended mag. The tail of the mag sticks out but that’s fine with me. Bag still holds and carries the nailer.

Has anyone tested to see if this fits Metabo? Really would like to know before purchasing
and FYI, I would like to point out, DEWALT model already comes with an extended mag unlike the milwaukee.
Holy crap! Don't get caught in states like NY with an extended mag. They may arrest you for to many nails.

It will not, the angle, where magazine connects to the gun, has to match the magazine. 30 with 30/21 with 21

The Tool Nut dosent the 21 use a differnt hole than the 30. Which make the right angle
Culiacan Sinaloa I think they do fit but just a thought if you notice both 30 and 21 guns 2 head bolts run straight down plus both guns have 2 different screw brass base on different housing angles on the one screw holding the middle of magazine so I still skeptical I want to try it already have the 21 but will get the 30 eventually and will order 30 magazine and will try on the 21. Unless @thetoolnut has already physically tried on, am I wrong? Both guns has bolt brass base for middle magazine plus has both angles built in gun housing

I saw this on clearance at the local home Depot for $25 . I'm gonna pass though after doing some research the gun is already heavy enough and it's just pure laziness to just slide another strip in they make it easy enough
I was so pissed off when I found out about this extended magazine. Fucking joke. Made me want to get a different brand.
