First off, great video(s)! I love the fact that you are out there to promote solid gear and not just pick up sponsors. After watching this video I ordered a ton of stuff of this gear from Tackle Warehouse, and I know that its quality if you use it. Secondly, I'm a Youth Pastor in Cedar Hill, Texas and I am constantly taking middle schoolers - college students fishing. Thank you for teaching me how to teach fishing to my students. After watching your videos and hearing you say "be sure to introduce someone to fishing" over and over, it really inspired me to use this as a tool for ministry. Thank you for doing what you do!
That liner on the top is the best tip I've heard in a long time! Thank you! I like these types of videos. I also like the videos when you say your having a hard time catching fish. It's not easy figuring out how to catch them.
Great video. Great insight into highlighting the terminal tackle one needs for a day on the water. This will be my winter time goal, ie narrowing down my tackle into the tackle I need and the companies who I will buy that needed terminal tackle from. Thank you for posting. This has been added to my winter time youtube fishing videos. Definitely one I will come back to again and again..
Thank you for the tip of the lining at the top of the box! That has been driving me nuts for years! Also a lighter is a must have in any tackle box! Super easy way to get the knot off your pop-r baits is a lighter
I started using a tip I saw online for the box I keep my hooks in and it works phenomenally. Get assorted size safety pins, and put each size hooks on their own pin by the eye. Makes it a thousand times easier to get out of the box, and they don't tangle into a ball. Plus you can keep track of new and old hooks!
+Joseph Bejnarowicz I've tried that but each group of hooks on a safety pin would get tangled together and cause a horrible mess. I went back to keeping one type of hook in one spot and I'm able to get to them faster.
That's a nice way to have everything setup. Due to me being on several medications, for my worm weights & swivels I use the medicine bottle n write the weight or the size of the swivels on the sticker that has my name on it. And since at the moment I only have one rod that came spooled up with 14# mono, I have some 6# mono that a guy took off his brand new reel that was prespooled with it. So I got about 50 ft of it n cut some into 12", 16", 18", n 24" n wrapped in a circle n put em in the lil ziploc bags
So much great stuff in this video. I've recently started setting up a terminal box like what you have and this has given me so many great ideas on how to improve it.
very cool gene I'm definitely gonna try the new way with the trailer hook keeper. but I do still like using the gas tube to keep the trailer stable when I need it to. thanks again for the tips bro. iv learned a lot watching you.
Hey Gene, try using safety pins and sliding the eye of the hook through them. Keeps everything nice and organized and tangle free. Saves a ton of time on the water.
Really would like to see some insight into actual organization tips. The box with the lid mod is great, and I love your pared down terminal tackle collection. Overall, do you think it's best to load all the hooks and sinkers in one box, and the baits in another? Or would it be better, for instance, to store some offset hooks and sinkers in a box together with your flukes, and another box with plastic worms and wacky-rig hooks in the same box? I keep struggling with opening 2 or 3 boxes at once to rig up a bait and wishing I could do it all in a way that I only ever need to open one box at a time. Yes, I'm still learning!
Cool clip! Definitely going to use some of those tips! Love the trailer hook tool and punch idea. I am curious about how you're using a lighter to fix your soft plastics? Maybe a quick video there? Love to learn more about that! As always learned a bunch! Thanks Gene!
Awesome video. Now I got some questions.1 I know it's weird but can you be to organized like having a compartment for each set of weights labeled and hooks for the sizes labeled.2 for the trailer hook stopper do you use a hole puncher to take it out of the jug or the cap of the jug.
These are definitely the way to go for terminal tackle. The compartments are small but there's a lot of compartments. Good tip on the ewg hooks too, but why do you think straight hooks are better. Thanks
You stopped using wide gap hooks a long time ago, but isn’t that exactly what you told us to buy in the beginner bass video? Isn’t that the hook you recommended for Texas rigging a trick worm?
OK on one of your fluke video you said that you use a 5/0 round bend hook. On this video you say that you hardly use 5/0 hooks. So do you prefer to use a 4/0 round bend hook for Flukes ?
Hey Gene do you do any other type of fishing? I love bass the most but salmon has been awesome here in Washington since ive lived here since 2003. Im from Tennessee so I grew up bass and panfish fishing but what other species do you like to catch?
I tie my own snells and put them into small jewelry/pill baggies labeled with hook size, style, and leader length. Which has it's own tackle box. Saves me so much damn time and keeps my line in the water more. My terminal is almost the same except my hooks are on safety pins. My sinkers and beads are in small baggies labeled by size and are in order from smallest to biggest. Don't get me started on my lures. I need help.
+Flukemaster That is a valid point. I do primarily bank fish with the occasional trip with a friend. I'll just get a couple and try them out. Thanks Gene!
+Flukemaster thanks gene. planning on ordering some. I have two bass mafia boxes and love them. still working on organizing and labeling the thinner one.
+Flukemaster cool. I just got my zerust tabs in the mail. cut each into 3 pcs and spread them throughout the box. used couple tabs. can't over do it anyway.
gene aka flukemasta aka bass boss aka squad leader- I have a question. got the concept A and have only seen your review on the inception. any thoughts on the A comparatively
+Travis Payne As soon as I get moved into my new house I'm going to do a bunch of reviews starting with all my sponsors stuff and working out from there. It's a little farther down range but getting close.
HEY ALL: I've heard that tungsten weights are more sensitive as well as denser than lead so they are smaller for their given size. That said I've also heard that the biggest reason for the switch to tungsten weights is that lead is not good for you or the environment so how much truth is there to those claims? Thanks
+Brenden Grant (B-MAN) More Sensitive and denser yes, I don't put much weight in claims from the environmentalist. There are too many opinions and theories floating around that group that have never been backed up by any facts.
Gene, Could you do a video on senko fishing(wacky rigging)and maybe show any modifications you make to increase the senkos longevity? Those who are with me, please reply to vote.
I would like to share your link to this video and give you a shout out on my channel. I just thought I would ask before doing it. Please let me know if it is okay. Thanks.
Hey gene, I just order a pack of 6 of JJ's magic a week ago, I haven't received or gotten a tracking number/confirmation on shippment through my email. how long dose it take to ship ? i have tried contacting them about my order...but no one replies.........getting disappointed at the moment, this is going on two weeks now.

This is one of my favorite vids of yours because it is more of a "what you need" type of thing, and I found it very helpful
Thank you for the tip of the lining at the top of the box! That has been driving me nuts for years! Also a lighter is a must have in any tackle box! Super easy way to get the knot off your pop-r baits is a lighter

+Flukemaster oh, ok. no worries. im still using plano boxes, so maybe with the bigger slots is why it works for mine. much appreciated!
Another fantastic video and pro tip using the shelf liner for the lid, genius!
+J Young Thanks man.

Use to use the same box, switched to a flambo. Turned that box into my more costly swimbait box just for more protection. Good video as always Gene.
So much great stuff in this video. I've recently started setting up a terminal box like what you have and this has given me so many great ideas on how to improve it.
I've used the zerust boxes for 2 or 3 years now and It's all I use when it comes to anything with hooks. It works.
+BassGeek They are great
Shelf liner. Awesome. Thanks.
Nice video. love the tackle box. Bulldog red and black!
love the shelf liner idea thanks for sharing
+james bay fishing You're welcome
Pretty slick, I switch to a bass mafia box a couple of years ago.
very cool gene I'm definitely gonna try the new way with the trailer hook keeper. but I do still like using the gas tube to keep the trailer stable when I need it to. thanks again for the tips bro. iv learned a lot watching you.
+Antonio Adona I'm glad I can help man. Good luck on the water
Perfect I was just getting ready to start doing my tackle organization. Thanks!
Great set up Gene! Thanks for sharing!
+4_sons_fishing Thanks man
Good idea on the milk jug holes for the trailer hook, I use to use pencil erasers but I think ill try the milk jug punch holes!!!
6:00 gamakatsu is who makes the short shank trebles you have
Hey Gene, try using safety pins and sliding the eye of the hook through them. Keeps everything nice and organized and tangle free. Saves a ton of time on the water.
+James Hale I tried that last year and it took too long to get them off the pin for my liking.
Great video Gene!
+Ryan Dick Thanks Ryan

very good video Gene
I will be putting shelf liner in all my boxes. Thanks
nice video! I have all mine in two 3700 Plano's but I found the lid isn't tight enough so even with it closed hooks can jump slots
Great video. A lot better terminal tackle video, than my video terminal tackle set up. I will use your set up to improve my terminal tackle.
Cool clip! Definitely going to use some of those tips! Love the trailer hook tool and punch idea. I am curious about how you're using a lighter to fix your soft plastics? Maybe a quick video there? Love to learn more about that! As always learned a bunch! Thanks Gene!
+Mark Polsky I'll get to work on that one.
+Flukemaster really? Wow big smiles here many thanks!
I love those hayabusa wacky rig hooks theyre great quality
+Barney Prince They are great. They actually stitch themselves into the fish as he fights. It's the coolest thing.
Good tips gene 👍🏻
Awesome video. Now I got some questions.1 I know it's weird but can you be to organized like having a compartment for each set of weights labeled and hooks for the sizes labeled.2 for the trailer hook stopper do you use a hole puncher to take it out of the jug or the cap of the jug.
to further organize your hooks you can hang them on saftey pins. Thanks for the video!
That would be the Neko rig ;) Great video, I'm really wanting one of those boxes now!!
Beat me to it ;)
Kyle Bumgardner I've got one love it! They actually came out with a terminal box I really want that one instead.
Thanks for the video. The links were very helpful!
You're welcome
awesome video thanks for the tips
Nice video I can't wait for more
Neko rig is the one your thinking of I think
Great video...very helpful
nicely done
Can you make a video showing how you use your lighter and also mend it for your soft plastics, that would be awesome!
+stryfe2009 I don't use Mend-it but I'll do one with my lighter.
Flukemaster Cant wait to see it!
Great video !
Great video
great tips sir
Postspawn tips?
love the idea with using a hole punch and milk jug
Awesome info once again!! Thank you sir!
great stuff
have you done a video on high pressured lakes? just curious what pointers or thoughts you have on that.
+Joey Parton Not yet but I always go ultra finesse and slow way way way down.
great tips thks
+Jeremy Mathis You're welcome Jeremy
These are definitely the way to go for terminal tackle. The compartments are small but there's a lot of compartments. Good tip on the ewg hooks too, but why do you think straight hooks are better. Thanks
Straight hooks have fewer bends to get in the way of a good hookup
You stopped using wide gap hooks a long time ago, but isn’t that exactly what you told us to buy in the beginner bass video? Isn’t that the hook you recommended for Texas rigging a trick worm?
Awesome vid!
GM needs to install Z RUST in truck bodies. My next boxes will most def be those.
Neko Rig is the one i think you were talking about
great video, I wish I was half as organized as you! When do you choose to use red hooks over black?
i put my Carolina
keeper in the same bay as my o rings and makes them way easier to get out. plus it opens up another slot. haha. give it a try..
Gene questions,do you have a wacky rig video and what size O ring do you use?
How do you use the lighterror with soft plastics? Are you heating them to repair and get more use?
Heard you say in one of your vids that you're in NC. Just getting into Bass fishing and live in the North East corner of NC. What area are you in?
OK on one of your fluke video you said that you use a 5/0 round bend hook. On this video you say that you hardly use 5/0 hooks. So do you prefer to use a 4/0 round bend hook for Flukes ?
Can you do a video (if you haven't already) on how to tune a crank sit?
What size wacky hooks do you use ?
He uses 1/0
OK thank you Jed
Is it the Neko rig u was trying to remember for those worm weights
yea im pretty sure that's what he was thinking of
love it
Hey Gene do you do any other type of fishing? I love bass the most but salmon has been awesome here in Washington since ive lived here since 2003. Im from Tennessee so I grew up bass and panfish fishing but what other species do you like to catch?
I live in Washington too awesome here
Wish I had a few of them boxes
What hooks do you use for flukes since you don't use EWG's?
Do u have a coupon code to moaner hooks?
Do you recommend concept a or c?
Is the bass mafia box worth the $28? Have they given you a discount code for us?
I tie my own snells and put them into small jewelry/pill baggies labeled with hook size, style, and leader length. Which has it's own tackle box. Saves me so much damn time and keeps my line in the water more.
My terminal is almost the same except my hooks are on safety pins. My sinkers and beads are in small baggies labeled by size and are in order from smallest to biggest.
Don't get me started on my lures.
I need help.
Gene do you like the Bass Mafia's better than the Plano 3700 with the red seal?
+Ricky Creason Yes, It's much more durable but it's heavier so if you are bank fishing it might not be as good for you.
+Flukemaster That is a valid point. I do primarily bank fish with the occasional trip with a friend. I'll just get a couple and try them out. Thanks Gene!
No EWG hooks for tubes?
nice box - its an entirely different world being organized
do you use the small zerust tabs or the little bit bigger ones and cut them in half?
+bobb613 fishin'pa Both
+Flukemaster thanks gene. planning on ordering some. I have two bass mafia boxes and love them. still working on organizing and labeling the thinner one.
+Flukemaster cool. I just got my zerust tabs in the mail. cut each into 3 pcs and spread them throughout the box. used couple tabs. can't over do it anyway.

+Travis Payne As soon as I get moved into my new house I'm going to do a bunch of reviews starting with all my sponsors stuff and working out from there. It's a little farther down range but getting close.
what size of those Wacky Rig hooks do you use?
+Joshystick85 1/0
+Flukemaster oh ok cool

I tend to keep my terminal in the bags they come in and lay em flat in big devided slots is there anything wrong with doing that I should be aware of?
Nothing wrong with that at all
Lol "I've really minimized my terminal tackle here" 😂😂 I'm sittin here with about 5 little sections of hooks and sinkers
You were thinking of Neko rigs I think.
Gene,
Could you do a video on senko fishing(wacky rigging)and maybe show any modifications you make to increase the senkos longevity? Those who are with me, please reply to vote.
I would like to share your link to this video and give you a shout out on my channel. I just thought I would ask before doing it. Please let me know if it is okay. Thanks.
Hey gene, I just order a pack of 6 of JJ's magic a week ago, I haven't received or gotten a tracking number/confirmation on shippment through my email.
how long dose it take to ship ? i have tried contacting them about my order...but no one replies.........getting disappointed at the moment, this is going on two weeks now.
+gg “GG Rs007” lee I need to call and check on him. He's been working his tail off lately and at his age it might have caught up to him.
Neko rig (the Japanese rig) was the word you were looking for :-D
Neko rig, props of Jon B
Gregory Chuhta ur late, and John B posted a vid on that the day before this one
Thank you! Thought I was the only one who hate EWG and never used them.
+hunter guy Nope. I've lost way too many fish on them.
👍
I think you were thinking about the "Neko" rig
Thanks for putting that on and if you want to see my video it is Nathan Casillas
I think he should do a cooking video since he did one with cleaning fish
+bugatti6969693 LOL.
Hey it's an idea
those swivels are size 3
Talk about your tackle next
Neko rig
X 2 about the EWG hooks. Stopped using them years ago. Nothing but a sales gimmick.
Noice
neko rig
40$ a box man that's steep, they look great though
Yea, I agree but you get what you pay for. I got tired of boxes cracking during rough water.
Flukemaster yea I bought two lol
Neko Rig for 47,000th time
Floating on land bro
