What an interesting episode 😅 We used to call those kind of workers (igenge), Telkom was known as Department of Post & Telecomms then.
I was hijacked the very same way, and it was around 10am at Riversand just next to Diepsloot. They kept me for about 5 hours, they even offered me food whole they blind folded me. After all I accepted and never looked back.
