Its so interesting to see the differnce in ER ytubers and their preferred build. Chasethebro likes strength weapons, big hard hitting ones. Drunk Souls like pure mage and spell combos, and Von here loves pure dex and using crazy katana combos. Just something i noticed recently
Hey dude I've noticed you enjoy the Pata alot. You should try a roar build with barbaric roar. Running r2 into the barbaric combo almost always combos. If they manage to roll the second hit, the third roll catches because of the length. Also the hyper armor is crazy. Paired with a cold infusion it's nutty man. Gg's and Godspeed Mr. Schnitzel. 💪
the invasians looked pretty dope, looking forward for the in depth strategy video for the build. been using carian samurai recently and i gotta say, that build really packs a punch as well 😄
this is something i've already played with a bit! Did a faith build with the crucible wings AoW on a great katana. Might make a vid with it one day, it's pretty solid
The reason you stopped sprinting in the invasion around 2:30 or so is because the water in that area forces you to jump only vertically. It happens in a couple of other places in the DLC too, for some reason water in these places just stops all forward momentum on jumps. No idea why.
@@VonSchnitz I learned it kind of on accident when fighting the Ulcerated Tree Spirits down there. Lemme tell you what, going to try and jump over their tail only to just hop futilely in place and then get pancaked was *not* a wonderful experience.
Great video btw what would you replace the talismans if you plan more on using some dual wield stuff and also are the 2 ashes on the nagakibas unsheathe ?
@@Rajinto unsheathe, sword dance, spinning slash, piercing fang are all good. Unsheathe is my favorite. Use the consecutive hit talismans or the retaliatory crossed tree talisman when dual wielding. Swap out the two-handed sword talisman and whatever else you don't need. Bullgoat talisman is important in some matchups and useless in others - refer to the poise breakpoint chart in the description to decide.
I tried putting the stats and gear you showed into a build calculator, but turned out to be heavy rolling, especially with Dual Nagakibas. Did you make any changes to the stats to accommodate for the heavier weight? Additionally, I'm curious what your thoughts are on the retaliatory crossed tree talisman (Talisman that boosts crouch/dodge/backstep attacks) for Dual Nagakibas. I'm finding that while they provide a good damage boost for the crouch L1, the nagakibas need to use a lot more of their moveset, so it doesn't end up being super helpful, and I was better off with something more general (like Milicent's Prosthesis for example)
@@AilesDeLumiere definitely need to go with Erdtree's favor +2 or great jar's arsenal with some of the setups I used. I plan to go deeper into that in the next vid with this build. I've tried the double consecutive hit talismans + thorny cracked tear while dual wielding and it's pretty much always a good setup. I've also tried retaliatory + Alexander's shard and you get great burst damage out of the crouch L1 into Unsheathe heavy. If you want to use all 4 aggressive talismans, you'll need to equip gloves that are lighter and miss out on some poise and defenses. I've tried all the variations and how good they are depends a lot on the scenario. Ultimately it's up to you how offensive or defensive you want to be!
do you happen to know if theres like a command thing to ge tthis build from the start of the game? i have a lvl 500 build and keep getting ganked by 2 spellcasters and 1 rusher
invasions will almost always be that way at any level. If you're on PC you can use cheat engine to make a build, I recommend watching this video to learn how: ua-cam.com/video/Mg0zjM-DVqg/v-deo.html
Good build but the stat optimization doesn't make a lot of sense. The only way samurai comes out as the best starting class is if you put one point into faith to get it to 11 and I don't get why you'd do that lol Otherwise vagabond and hero come out as better picks, with vagabond being the better option if you plan to also put points into faith.
So it finally happened, VonShnitzel became WeebVonSchnitzel
I've come full circle, back to where it all began - katanas

FINALLY! best samurai pvp on the tube!
there's a lot more coming too!
The Sprint stop at the beginning was because of the Ground thats covered in Water around the dead Tree
yeah I didn't realize, someone else in the comments already taught me that happens in the water there. super weird interaction
Wow, this is great, excited to work through all the combos and try them out.
Still testing and discovering new ones myself!

I had a build idea, imagine a Holy Samurai/onin, instead of magical damage and sorceries, is a samurai with Holy damage and incantations
