I can speak Chinese, and I’m just gonna let people know, many areas/cities have their own accent. How these people are speaking is mostly unique to their own area.

In Spain it is the same. I am from Burgos and from example we pronunce articles "wrong". When we are refering to a femenin or masculin subject we must say "le dí" that means "I gave him", but in step of "le", we say "la" refering to a femenin subject: "la dí". This happens mostly in the north of Castille, a case in my city, but there are many more different accents and ways of spaiking, other pronunce the "c" as "s", as it happens in the South of Spain and America, which is practically spanish terrotory if we are talking about culture, so imagine in the XIX century, there would be more much ways of pronuncing.
Im chinese who cant speak chinese and lives in a country where people mostly speak french and i usually speak English or my native language 0-0

As someone who grew up speaking Chinese, it’s interesting to see the dialects of Chinese fluctuating from Mandarin to other dialects (sounds like Sichuanese or somewhere in the area?), especially as the people are aging in the video. The kids at the beginning have great Mandarin pronunciation because this is what’s being taught in schools as mandated by the PRC. But people retain their original dialects and it’s hard to learn Mandarin as you’re older. Just some insight
