Jay I know your a new driver let me tell you , you can pick up a trailer from the side angles he wasn't trying to screw you , and don't ever worry about if someone get pissed because your taking your time to back you will get faster if you want to but I all ways took my time so you're not hitting anything ., take as much time as you need and just be safe out there 38 years over the road 3.5 million miles never had a accident you can do that to
Thanks for putting these videos together man. I know it's a big effort getting everything edited and buttoned up, great work on everything dude. Congrats on your new journey!
First time watching your video. Nice work, and remember patience is always the most important thing when you are trucking. It doesn't matter if you have 20 years trucking. Keep doing it the same way you do it now. Because if you relax and don't do your G.O.A.L . That's when you can have accidents. Be safe out there. And welcome to trucking life
Let’s gooooo! Excited for you brother I hope everything works out.
Congrats on the new gig. Keep up the great content.
Jay your very captivating and phenomenal awesome haircut bud love you Stay hydrated this summer. You going to do great. I believe in you. Be safe. I’m here for you we all are
Welcome to the team!
Freightliner has an absolutely amazing turn radius
Congratulations Jay
I love my forte GT! Just gave her a bath today! Keep up the great trucking videos!
Congrats on the new step ahead Driver! 👏
Hope the new job works out for you. Drive safely my friend. God bless you. 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Dude, Garmin is rarely wrong with those no truck roads. Congratulations on the new gig.
Demmm boiii...jay joining alex at gp transco now...enjoy brother
heck yea Jay keep on trucking
Love the blue color of the new rig.
good luck Jay, the corolla part is so funny
Good luck guy👍👍
I really like the color of that new truck.
Awesome thank you for sharing
People are moving to GP Transco at a rate that is phenomenal. They have a great pay, I'm watching a guy called Alex the trucking guy and he listed the advantages if working for that trucking company
I watch him to
alex is cool
He's pretty good
It's a no brainer .. their trucks are superb and they do their maintenance regularly
Gp transco is a joke they don't even pay nearly what I get . Plus the plastic slow trucks😅😅
I just found the channel. I love it.
the Freightliner we had at Schneider had a really hot clutch meaning as you were backing if you had to go slowly or do even one pull up it would heat up and set off the alarms. But other than that we liked the Cascadia for the most part. Good luck with the new job and truck.
I’ve delivered at that place a few times, lucky they put our empties on the other side town at a second lot
Nice new truck dude
Next time you back into a spot. Stay closer to the trailers you are backing next to. That will prevent you having to jack knife the trailer in a spot and getting to close to the trailers in the dock doors.
Hey man I am a trucker to and I watch him to good luck in your new truck
Hi Jay, your doing fine to me. Heard you say that you've only been trucks for a yr. My son drives our truck now and when he first started just over 2yr now and I told him take it slow when reversing and if he's not sure get out and have a look. We all have been there. Ho sorry I'm from UK 🇬🇧 bull nose are rare over here ours are cab overs so it's a bit easier for us to get into tighter spaces. Keep up the good work and see you on the next one 👍
one cool thing about the freightliner is hill decent control. look up how to use it. its an awesome feature to use in the mountains. out of all the trucks I have driven, I like them the most.
Looking forward great 👍 truck 😊
Hope you enjoy being in Chicago you'll spend a lot of time going thru all the time.
Yupp..these IL companies doesn’t leave the area..bumping docks twice a day
Jay Cam barely fits in the Corolla 😅
Welcome to GP! Next journey begins!
I watched Alex’s videos and just can’t get into his, feels like it drags on and on.
Pretty trucks.
I hope you little the new company
Never understood blurring license plates, they’re state property. We see them every time we go outside it’s nothing to hide
I mean not turning the steering wheel unless moving is a no no unless you rally have to :)
When ever your at most shippers/receivers, Yard jockeys usually have the right of way of inbound/outbound truckers.
you are soooo damn ROOKIE 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everyone is switching to this company. IDK if you know another UA-camr that is named "Alex" He works for this trucking company and has been doing his vlog off of this company and about trucking. You two should link up and get to know each other since you two are UA-camrs and work for the same company. If you don't know him, you can catch him there. Idk where and what terminal he's based from but. It'll be nice for two UA-camrs in one company. And at a young age too. Big Mahalo bradda for sharing since your old company. I see you growing in your channel as well. Keep it up and stay safe trucking on these roads Aloha! 🤙🏼
He literally said he doesn’t know him
@Matthew I mention if he doesn't know him? .
When Alex was at that yard it was alot harder
What do you mean lol
@@RidingWithJaythe lot was full, not enough room for an U turn
Jay I hope you like GP Transco and hope you did your research into them. The only thing I can really say is out of over 10 years of driving I spent six of those years and a freightliner cascadia and they turn much sharper than the Kenworth t680s do and also when you are making a U-turn anywhere especially back into a loading dock or a spot for your trailer or whatever it be always make a U-turn counterclockwise to the left going to the right you pull your airlines super super tight and you risk them breaking off the trailer. I left CFI back in September when transport America became CFI dedicated and then I quit them and it wasn't 2 days later they became TA dedicated so too many name changes too many not so good things we're going on and I can fully understand you leaving I hope that GP trans goes better for you and works out way better safe travels
You had a 2023 last time I saw your videos
GP COOL
God bless bro
One thing Jay..... Do not move the steering wheel unless you are movin :) Just saying...... From an experienced trucker. Keep the wheels turning
I just join your channel
I was about to get on to you Jay about videoing the tag number of the car you were packing up until you explained that it was a rental since people could find your house using the tag number as a source. I should have known an ex cop would know that. 😁👍
100% I’m always one step ahead🫡
Hi Jay last time I saw your videos you were working with CFI
Correct
Glad to see the new journey Jay! Curious, how was their orientation? Besides basic new hire paperwork did they do a road test with you or any yard maneuvers for you to prove you could drive?
It was pretty easy just a driving test and then a 45° back
Mic check, hey man we’re sleeping turn it off.😂😂
Jay does make good videos though,he can back
You didnt pre trip the rental car😂
Parking in tight spaces like this is easy for yard jockey operators because they don’t have to worry about the hood like truck drivers
good luck with getting called all day from brokers asking about the loads lol
Me too
hey you should do uturn on driverside it safer
Make me miss being on the road man
Morning.bro
I was in South Carolina today waiting to deliver, the middle bay was clear, this cop pulled in the spot, this not-so SWIFT driver just backed in without paying attention and crunch! I have it all on video too! I was late for my delivery, I was laughing so hard, I wasn't being a witness!
Samsara is a great Elog
I'm thinking of making a move over to GP
If you do tell me I sent ya I’m loving it so far!

Hi Jay, just curious... Did you get your CDL through GP Transco? or did you go to a CDL school?
😎👍
The ticket is called "Gawk" as in gawking, where people slow to look at an accident and get hit in the ass by drivers that drive correctly.
congrats have u met Alex yet
Hi how did you hook the GPS to truck dashboard, can you show ?
How do you like all the room in your cascadia?
Looks like you don't have any trucker twins for your CB. Could be why it's silent.
Is the inside of the Truck bigger then CFI ??
Eh, I've seen bad routes on trucker path. I just use it for parking.
It's Sunday April 16th
I drove both Freightliners and Kenworth. To me the Freightliner was more manurable but the Kenworth rode better on the highway. Let me know what you think after you're out with it for a while.
Maneuverable
I've driven both, also drove International 9400 Eagle, horrible truck. But it was very old, way past its prime, so. Then a KW cant remember the model. I dont think they make it anymore. Very narrow hood, not much room between the seat and shifter. Had numerous electrical issues. Then a Volvo VNL 780, now this truck was a joy to drive. Extremely comfortable, tons of storage, very quiet smooth riding truck. But when it broke down could be a bitach to deal with. Then a KW T-680. Over all a fairly good truck. The Frieghtshaker not comfortable to me, but durable and reliable and maneuverable
@@johnmagill7714 try it with the upgraded suspension. gamechanger
I'm from kc and studying for my cdl right now and looking to take my permit test this week or next
@RidingWithJay I passed my permit test today
Good video, try to cut down on the word "like" you used 8 times in a span of 60 seconds. Be safe.
Are You going to shut down at 3pm like Alex?
That Maytag isnt fun...been there once.
Jay,, Why did you quit CFI ??😊
Loolllllll😂😂
What happened with cfi

Hush

Is this same company as Alex ?
Yes
Just back into broooo you were being a drama queen
Yur a cutie 💓
No hate but why go to a company with slow governed trucks and less home time?
It’s not slower than CFI lol and it’s the same amount of hometime
Did they give u tablet
Yes company supplies tablet
*really
I bet you he's not going to be at this company too long before he finds another job
Why you say that
I seen alotta people leaving from gp and it was looking like they were screwing around there for a minute with the loads and dealing with the brokers and you gotta put the gadgets in your phones and I'm not saying your going to do it and I wish you all the best there at gp man, not comparing you to none of them and I don't want anyone thinking I was trying to be negative.. we're used to you at cfi
