Shino got most filler, Bikochuu arc, funny funerel episode and a lot 9f filler in part 1. In the first filler arc of shippuden he was considered as an equal to Kakashi and did the most. He has the most filler.
I still think Shino should have been promoted along side with Shikamaru after their first time taking the Chuunin Exams. He had what it takes, it even been shown in the filler arch, but Kankaro forfeited before the two fight in front of the proctors so Shino didn't show his capabilities as a fighter and strategist, and when Kankaro and Shino did fight there was no one around to see it until Shino's father arrived so he still didn't get the recognition he deserved.

Technically it was the same as Gaara as long as he didn't try to transform into the Shukaku before the invasion started. .Sadly Gaara's bloodlust got the better of him during his match with Sasuke and could havetransform early if Sasuke didn't manage to penetrate Gaara's absoluute defense with the Chidrori and injured Gaara to the point he was bleeding
bro literally Shino is so underrated. I have not watched Boruto yet and did not know that Shino played a pretty big role. Being Borutos's and Sarada Uchiha's teacher. at the beginning of the anime, I just thought that Shino was just going to be another side character. but no he actually went from being a pretty quiet dude in naruto and Shippuden to be the teacher of a lot of powerful students

Shino could've been better than gaara since his insects are portrayed as sand-like and is alive and willing to protect him. He has a 1 hit kill where he used in the war arc (beatles that eat chakra instantly) has aoe attack, his character development is well wasted.

Shino did not cross his bugs with that of Torune. He fed his bugs to the poisonous beetles until he found a strain of his own beetles that could resist the poison that Torune's beetles produced. He then isolated and bred for this poison resistance genetic till he had a strain that was capable of this. He only kept around 10 on him at any given time though. This is why he had to let them multiply as he stalled while Naruto fought Torune.
High key Shino would have helped immensely with the Sasuke retrieval mission. I'd even argue there would have been less need for the one on one battles at that time too. I think that's why he was written out of the mission and instead was out with his father cuz arguably things might have went differently
And shino's insect can evolve infinitly, in the 3 tails arc his bugs evolved to resist the atacks, so as he fights more his bugs are even better than sand
Shino has to be the character with the most wasted potential of any Naruto character. At the beginning of Naruto they treated him like a Chunin but then in Shippuden he basically faded out of existence. Honestly I was hoping he would become something like a Scorpion Summoner like how Naruto can Summon frogs but Kishimoto had other plans for him and he became a side character. So disrespected.

It’s actually mentioned in a special manga chapter. Since his card from the boruto yugio game, was weak all the kids made fun of him and he uses the visor to cry while no one can see.
I couldn't forget how shino REALLY chased kankuro down and beat him because he forfeited their match... I wonder why masashi just gave up on his characters. I reckon he didn't want to do it because the show would've ended up like one piece with 1000 episodes
It’s a shame we didn’t get to see all members of the Konoha 11 fight more during shippuden. I mean in the original naruto the Konoha 11 all fought quite a bit, but in shippuden I feel like they under used the side character cast. Shino is cool. I wish he in particular got more action.
They should've helped more with fighting the Akatsuki. Like Shino have a rematch against Konan. Kiba use his dog form against Kisame (Kiba gonna loose, but it would be cool.). Like give each team a chance to beat an Akatsuki member.

It's been shown that Shino is trash at Taijutsu. And in that Filler episode with the Bychochu beetle (or whatever it was called) it was showed she can slice bugs. And Shino's surprise attacks won't work on her because she has the Byakugan
