Hold up...did anyone notice the Black Ballade has kunai designs on it's hat?! Larxene uses kunais. Could...could that thing be Larxene's heartless?! Edit: It also hits Sora with lightning if he attacks the wrong one and it creates clones. Lightning and clones, just like Larxene. I'm onto something here!
I always loved the grand ghost as a reference to older FF games where you can hurt ghosts by healing them Most recent rpgs don't have that mechanic, so grand ghost is fun for the unique way to kill it
I thought the same thing when I encountered it the first time; it's Square showing their roots of using healing offensively against Undead/Zombified enemies.
Elden Ring's healing incantations comes to mind, but they are very niche and only affects revanent-type undead enemies, not skeletons or Tibia Mariners. Kinda hope more video games utilize healing as a form of damage to specific enemy types.
The strat I always go with for the Gigas Shadow is spamming strike raid or magic from inside the fireplace, its mostly impossible for them to get in there haha
My thoughts on all these fellas: 10: I 100%ed this game with my girlfriend and we spent an extra day because of the amount of money I lost to this thing. I think I was trying to do mushrooms at the time and had forgotten about it. 9: I have a gambling problem, so naturally I love the Black Ballade 8: I HATE THESE THINGS. The worst part is that I found a good way to take them out in my final visit to them and got like 3 extra items from them from the several bonus waves I hadn't reached any prior times 7: My girlfriend loved this "booty shaking jelly boi" more than any other. I was annoyed by it, but seeing her happy makes me happy. 6: I gave this fella 3 Megalixirs and called it a day. It felt like a nice callback to the flowers 5: In my first playthrough these were among my favorites. In my most recent playthrough they timed me out a dozen times because they jumped into mobs and I had enough. Maybe it might've been because I sealed the keyhole before fighting them. IDK 4: I really like these big bois and they're perfect for a world about growing and shrinking 3: I called this the chupacabra to annoy my girlfriend because she's a huge cryptid buff. The fight is fun, but I love this thing for that first reason 2: I forgot these fellas weren't in KH1. They RULE by design alone 1: I loved playing the pick a pot game that started this battle. I let my girlfriend join in and she never got the tell, but it's a fun battle before and during nonetheless. It's also a great way to teach people how to guard and parry attacks without blatantly telling them (or you can stand there with aeroga, BOOO) I loved your list and I generally agree with all of your choices. I'd love to see more stuff like this
I think it's cool that you took the time to look at all these enemies :) I gotta say though I've never been a big fan of how many you actually have to defeat just to get the better crafting materials :(
A good strat for the Gigas Shadow is to use Dumbo. Dumbo makes it impossible for the Gigas Shadow to hit you as you're invincible while riding on Dumbo.
What I love about KH1 Final Mix is that the cutscenes are skippable. Everyone knows that the "Lead me into everlasting darkness!" cutscene is infamous for being the key factor to kids rage quitting because their brains weren't fully developed yet to cheese and use the skills they earned to outsmart the possessed rival, though Ansem-Riku kept beating their asses. Sure, it's memeable per se, but when a player gets stuck on a boss or is forced to watch a long cutscene full of exposition, then they'd easily avoid it and progress.
On the topic of sniper wild, didn’t really have much issue with them. Towards the beginning of the section, you were standing on the terrace overlooking square, right in the middle of the hotel doors. Lock onto the wild then jump. Cast fire and it’ll alert it but not spot you. It’ll then scramble up the wall to investigate. Where you can then ambush it for an easy kill. Just be careful since they can jump onto the wall. Just wait a little to see if it happens before luring them in.
I reccomend getting every single item you can before you even enter hollow bastion. 2 reasons: the enemys are A LOT easier to deal with strength/health wise. 2nd reason is some of the lesser heartless like all the flying elemental heartless dont seem to appear as often after hollow bastion so it can take MUCH longer to farm all the items you need.
I found the Gigas Shadows very easy to farm. All you have to do is summon Dumbo. You can attack them and they can't hit you. I tried recording my screen for the Black Ballade. Even then it was still impossible to tell very often.
I’m happy you’re doing the KH content but simultaneously taking some space. I also am a little shook on the star wars stuff. But let me tell you, I Hate the pink agaricus. However I loved the dance number and Thank you for giving him a moment to shine. Your content is great, your deadpan and dare I say monotonous delivery yields great comedy when paired with silly moments like those. Small breaks for fun and creativity. IMO he was the worst addition bc it requires such specific strat… btw my edit is to make sure I got the name right lol… stay true to your heart my brother
I never knew the sniper wilds had extra mechanics because they’re so easy to beat by just casting stop right when they spawn so I always beat all 30 without them even moving.
I've never had a sniperwild, because it actually takes a few seconds for it to notice you and then call its backup to screw you over. As long as you're stunning them with attacks, which they always will be stunned when attacked, they can't do that. My strategy is, fuck stop, fuck strategy, just go up to the first one and smack it, then go to where the two will spawn and just spam blizzard. Blizzard's shotgun effect will hit both, and this is also the case for the following spawns. Hitting the one and spamming blizzard on the others clears it with little issue.
Thank goodness, I used lucky strike on the snipers to not have to deal with set mechanics, I had no idea they had more to them as you chained the groups.
I think the biggest frustration from these heartless and the grind for Ultima Weapon is that most of the require very particular strategies and set ups to take down, and that makes the grind so much more monotonous when you have to do the same thing again and again and again. If it was just one or two special heartless I'd love it, but having 10 of these just ruins the uniqueness of the concept.
Kh1 enjoyer when i was 14. Now at 28 playing KH1 FINAL MIX I had trouble solving all these puzzles in Wonderland BUT... HEARTLESS?! Dude that made the game so much easier and worthy of the time put to farm the items. KH1 was boring regarding the farming process and this is why i never aimed for 100% back then.
Just a heads up these are actually fairly easy coming from someone who gets ultima in every playthrough. Once you get all 3 lucky strikes the drop rates for just doing meh on a lot of them are pretty high each one gives a an increase factor of 50% so with all three the rates are 2.5x what they should be. So say you have a 20% that's now 50% trust me getting all 3 saves so much time
And THAT is the main reason why I always pick Shield. Lucky Strike is a godsend. Every time a Heartless drops a synthesis material, that’s just one more I don’t have to go out of my way to get later. It feels really good.
This might be my favorite video you've done
The Pink Agaricus bit had me giggling for a few minutes
Best part of the video!
Agreed

And it’s black… like an organization coat👀

I always just use Dumbo because you're invincible for the whole time he's out
@@edgeofultima7483 Same. Why chance it, especially when the gimmick has such an easy workaround?
@@edgeofultima7483 Dumbo cheese for the win.
Woah never thought about the fireplace
Aren’t you also invincible using strike raid?

The transition to the Chimera was NOT OKAY 😂
9:25 The one Heartless that's stopping me from getting Ultima Weapon.
Really appreciate all the editing bits here!
Hold up, that Sabor-through-the-floor bit? Did NOT know about that; Regular Pat, eat your heartless out.
I think it's cool that you took the time to look at all these enemies :) I gotta say though I've never been a big fan of how many you actually have to defeat just to get the better crafting materials :(
I kind of liked the grand Ghost,
Never had any real issue and had actually maxed out my elixirs, so a way to essentially “sell” them was appreciated.
A good strat for the Gigas Shadow is to use Dumbo. Dumbo makes it impossible for the Gigas Shadow to hit you as you're invincible while riding on Dumbo.
This channel is criminally underrated
The Pink Agaricus intro was the best part of the video.
I literally almost cried trying to defeat the Sniperwilds for the first time, I still feel slight remnants of fear just looking at them 🤣
“I fear no man. But that… thing…”
*sees Sniper Wild*
“…it scares me.”
Its coming for me other hand !

The problem with stealth soldiers is how they always disappear and also usually appear with other enemies so you’ll probably only beat 1
Someone was really feeling it in the editing room
19:19 What a nice subtle reference
Really great video Nova I can tell you put a lot of effort into this
I found the Gigas Shadows very easy to farm.
All you have to do is summon Dumbo. You can attack them and they can't hit you.
I tried recording my screen for the Black Ballade. Even then it was still impossible to tell very often.
Palmtree Panic was an A+ music choice. I love Sonic CD's soundtrack.
Pink Argaricus you can get 99 if you use Ars Acanum between Ragnaroks
The worst thing about the black ballade is that it's not called the "Black Shuffle"
I’m happy you’re doing the KH content but simultaneously taking some space. I also am a little shook on the star wars stuff. But let me tell you, I Hate the pink agaricus. The Pink Agaricus gave me so much trouble on ps3. Recently on ps3 I was finally able to discover that the prime cap is a very crappy equipment item.
"If you fight Sabor a second time and have her make the hole"
Sorry, if you WHAT?
I loved the extra heartless in Final Mix, but and definitely against the re-colors as well😂 pot scorpions especially I always thought were cool!
9:20 That got a good laugh out of me lol.
13:34 Is that "Bustin'" by Neil Cicierega?
I never knew the sniper wilds had extra mechanics because they’re so easy to beat by just casting stop right when they spawn so I always beat all 30 without them even moving.
omg the neil ciceriga bustin at 13:25 big pog
Omg that clip with pink agaricus killed me 😂

Playing against the black Bellard on PS5, I just recorded the playback and watched it in the share menu while paused
Thank goodness, I used lucky strike on the snipers to not have to deal with set mechanics, I had no idea they had more to them as you chained the groups.
Bruh the FMA audio hurt I wasn't ready for that
9:35 Ansem's "research"
That sonic cd music interlude 👌
My go-to strat for Jet Balloon was to Summon Genie its helped me so much
Hm, interesting list.
…did anything similar to these happen in other games?
BBS and 2 and 3 had similar things yeah
Pink Agaricus is best dancer. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Gigas Shadow is probably named after the Gigas enemy from Final Fantasy.
Another method for the Gigas Shadow is using Dumbo with all 3 Cheers & Maxed out MP. (Dumbo puts Sora in "mini-status" & can't Sora be hit.)
15:38 there is a boss in ff10 that you fight underwater that you can either keep away with gates or instakill it with a phoenix down
Evrae altana the zombie version of Evrae
Eh, Gigas actually makes sense. It's the greek word for giant if I recall.
That with the grand ghost I wanted to use final Elixier but that Bastardpushed and I wasted it to all god was I angry
You have more patience for the Grand Ghost than me. I almost broke my controler after like the fifth time I wasted an item on Goofy.
Video suggestion: Why Hollow Bastion is a cool place to live?

The pot scorpion is a legend
I got to 29. One more Sniper Wild and I WOULD HAVE WON!!!
Stealth soldier will disappear if they are the only heartless left. That's their gimmick
9:33 Ok that's it. I'm subscribing
sniper wild gives me pure anxiety
Pink Agaricus was terrible on PS3 because Donald and Goofy attacking it DECREASED the counter so Ragnarok was out of the question.
5:57 LMFAO
For the pink agarics, couldn’t you use mushu, then aero, then stop, and just go to town with the fastest hits around?
I grinded those bad boys and went from the 50s to the 80s. Its alot....
My record to the sniperwilds are 30 this was actually my first time with them after that well less then 10
Xigbar sir I accidentally generated monkeys
Xemnas so traverse town
Xigbar but they can multiply if the identity an enemy
Xemnas traverse town
you can totally farm megaelixers
even with a hundred percent drop mod, the grind is still infuriating lol
My record woth Sniper wild is 30 I evem recorded that on my ps4 account
👍👍👍👍👍
Banana bread inspired me to watch this video
You Should DO A Kingdom Hearts PS2 OG USA Version Nobody ever dose that version for videos❗️❗️ºoº ºoº ºoº ºoº ºoº ºoº
Banana bread 🍞
Love banana bread
10:18 wait Sabor was a girl? 😂 i mean it never spoke...i always thought it was a boy for some reason. neat.
Banana bread is good 😀
