watching early BABYMETAL it was impossible not to be captivated by Yui's insane cuteness and Moa's burgeoning beauty as they performed their complex and creative dance choreography - but the pillar in the center standing like a young female samurai was SUMETAL, her voice unwavering strong and clear. No accolades are too great for her!
Thanks for this great callout! Such incredible news and Su doesn't just crush on the stage she crushed this competition. Her vocals are truly exceptional and unique and it is so wonderful seeing her get the recognition she has earned.
Yet again, I bow to The Queen (and her Princesses of course). I am getting very sore knees from bowing at Su-Metal at my age, but this is what she does to us in The One. What BM have done for us as listeners and viewers of music can never be underestimated. What other band/group actually created their own genre and then went on to conquer the world with it? Nobody! To be honest, if there was no BM on YT, my viewing would be cut down by about two thirds. So raise your glasses to the best! Su-Metal and Babymetal you really do deserve this award. Kitsunes up!

I was brought to Babymetal by suggestions after I got sucked into AG (Atarashii Gakko no Leaders) who are not metal, but did collab with Maximum the Hormone, and are just insane in all ways. Awesome for win for Babymeal & Su Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto). I'm a metal fan/industrial fan as well, and Babymetal is totally legit, with the sweetest dulcet tones on top of pleasant broken glass and gravel. Awesome.

Hell yeah! Although, I wonder how “legitimate” this awards thing is. Regardless, Su absolutely has my vote for top female metal vocalist. She is not only a technically proficient singer, but damn, her voice just has a way of cutting right into my musical soul to invoke all sorts of emotions. In my opinion, after Su-metal, Floor, would be a close 2nd. With Alissa and Tatiana close behind! 🤘🦊

When you consider how pivotal Babymetal has been for kind of paving the road that all these other Japanese bands are now driving on. I just think it's an aspect they don't get enough recognition for.

I still believe that Floor Jansen is the most complete Metal Singer that has hit the stages in the last 30years, but I had to vote for Su-Metal.. she (alongside with Moametal and Momometal) have been absolutely non-stop, bringing new unsuspecting people into the Metal.. and broadening the horizons of older metalheads that can't see past their comfort zone.
