Mt. Bailey is a 8375 foot volcano in Southern Oregon's High Cascades near Crater Lake, with an amazing skin route up and ski run down. My solo 14 mile climbing route to the summit ascends 4000k ft from Three Lakes Snow Park, up the South East Ridge to the Crater Bowl. From there, the route traverses the precipitous Summit Ridge, falling off steeply on both sides into Mt. Bailey's infamous Avalanche Bowl, before reaching the true summit.
Great vid and showing your setup and transition. This is my home mountain for regular climbs. That traverse from the false summit to summit is no joke. Cheers!

I was up dinking around bailey summit in early May. I chose the left scree side as I just had microspikes. I also shoulda brought the skis.
I've seen a few videos of skiing it now. And I'm curious why you chose not to ski the bowl? others chose not to based on wind slabed cornices. Are there cracks and under surface water falls?
It looks like a giant amazing bowl to ski. I ended up going back down through the trees as well. I dont know why I didnt see anyone up there. Broken arrow campground is nice.
After bailey I drove the short drive to Crater lake and skied 2 peaks on the North Side of the lake. It was epic.
Last month I skied Black Butte. It's a boot up. But I did ski an amazing night from the summit of black butte TO THE CAR down by camp Sherman.
I've been up middle sister twice. Only once up to the ridge above Hayden glacier and on the sketchy summit push which is very steep and icy in spring.
But my goal this spring or it might have to wait till next is to ski the middle sister.
I have yet to ski the south sister but the route has no glaciers as middle sister does. Hayden glacier is big and has cracks. South sister doesnt on the south side. Unfortunately it is permits now after last year. But I think I can get in before permits season and after the road opens. Fingers crossed. I dont have a snowmobile.

Hey there, thanks for the kind offer-I’ll keep you in mind next time I’m down in your neighborhood! Yeah that upper bowl is supposed to phenomenal skiing, but it dumps you out pretty far from the winter trailhead so it wasn’t worth the long slog for me. It’s also super avalanche prone (it’s called Avalanche Bowl) but if the snow pack is stable, go for it! Those adventures sound awesome, climb on!

You should've just rented a sled at Diamond Lake. Would've been up and down in an hour. Or waited till it was a pow day and taken the Cat. Why you'd want to skin up and ski down on all that ice confounds me.
