    You can clearly see there was more of a glow on the dermaplaning side! Michael todd is great. I have the face brush, the heated tool that soaks in your skincare and the microderm abrasion tool and they do what they claim! I can use the heated skincare thing and the skincare will soak in to where my face goes from soaked to dry pretty fast. I've never got anything from there that wasn't amazing for a really fair price so I'm not shocked that the sonicclear works so good!

    I love this face sander! I jest, but it really feels good and gentle while using it and my skin texture has really improved using this.

    You're such a natural beauty! I've always been curious about the PMD devices. I didn't even realize you need replacement discs for the device until this video. Very informative! Thanks for sharing. Subscribed!

      @@aace2464 honestly I didn’t love it and I haven’t been diligent about using it. I felt like my entire face was peeling off which maybe is the point LOL! I really should start again since I did spend the money.

    You have to use it downwards like the instructions explains. It goes different that the regular derma-planning blade.

    Thanks for your thorough run down. I could use the hair removal but probably wouldn't trust myself with the dermaplaning one. As you said, i did notice more "sloughing" I think you called it - but I would find it oddly satisfying to clean it out of the other one that collects it.

    Hello new subscriber as im doing research on microdermabrasion at home tools. I liked how you presented the products. I have aging skin with peach fuzz that I have always been too afraid to remove for fear of it growing back like a beard.. lol but now I am ready to reveal my skin. I think im going to get the Michael Todd but im scared of that too! What do you think?

      I really enjoy my Sonicsmooth! If you have Instagram I just did a Live on Sunday night using it and answering questions. Their summer sale just ended yesterday but if you decide to get one, the code KeepBeautyReal can save you 20% ! I just ordered the Michael Todd sonic refresher (their microdermabrasion system) to try. It’s cordless, which the PMD is not, so that will be nice! I’m sure I’ll do an update video! Any other questions just let me know!

    Honestly would you just be able to use a combination of the PMD and one of those cheaper vibrating peach fuzz razors or does the sonic smooth dermaplaning tool do other things besides removing the peach fuzz?

    • @KeepBeautyReal1
      @KeepBeautyReal1  3 роки тому

      That is a great question!!! I think you could totally do a combo. I haven’t used any of the cheaper dermaplaning tools, but I can’t imagine that there is THAT big of a difference. I think it would really come down to the blade quality. I didn’t think the “sonic” action would make much difference but I did notice a difference when I used it turned off versus on. I got my sonic smooth for a huge discount on HSN or something, and it came with quite a few blades. I’m also super curious to try the microderm heads for the device as well.

    I've always had questions about what happens after dermaplaning? If you're removing the peach fuzz (and let's say some women may have darker or thicker peach fuzz) is there stubble in the next days? If your hair grows fast, won't there be growth a day or two after dermaplaining? How soon will you have to do it again? Is this why a home device was created, so you can ("shave") at home?

    • @KeepBeautyReal1
      @KeepBeautyReal1  2 роки тому +1

      I find that usually I don’t feel stubbly afterwards. If someone has thicker or more coarse hair then that may not be the case-but that’s when other hair removal options would be better. I do think that “cutting” a strand of hair versus completely pulling it out via tweezing or waving/sugaring always results in a bit less soft feeling grow out just because it had a blunt end. But in the areas I have more “peach fuzz” it doesn’t affect me at all. In the very corners of my lip I have a few slightly thicker/darker hairs that I can feel as they regrow but it’s not bad. Dermaplaning is really not only about removing fuzz but also that top layer of dead skin cells for a smoother more glowy result.

    The tutorial on Michael Todd youtube specifically says NOT TO GO UPWARD it's downward in small strokes of the hair growth and to NEVER use any SERUM or lotions prior or afterwards.

    • @KeepBeautyReal1
      @KeepBeautyReal1  8 місяців тому

      Hello-actually, right on the site in the use instructions (and in the user manual) it says you can to use a serum to soothe and calm. They recommend not using scrubs or peels of course.
      In the instruction manual they do not state not to use an upward stroke. I do realize
      That this is sometimes mentioned-frankly, to avoid cuts and potential ingrown hairs if used incorrectly. When you receive a professional dermaplaning treatment upward strokes are used.
      Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
