    some track days(here in the US at least) have a 250cc minimum for a track day. Im assuming you live in the UK where more bikes have a bit less power and cc, i bet there are some track days or at least open track days that will let you hop on it. Here in the US or the track i go to, you must ride for a year on the street before tracking. All have minimun requirements, so just choose one that suits you. Hope this helps.

    it mite not be exciting but its useful info. mainly common sense that should have been done but often gets forgotten

    Dont get defensive, i wasnt saying anything bad about the UK. I was just stating that you guys have a limit before you can get larget CC and hp bikes. I wouldnt say that last statment is so true though as we have some pretty talented riders over here with some pretty decent roads sometimes. But usually we go to the tracks since there are 4 within a 2 hour radius of where we live. I dont feel that corrected =).

    Track Prep...Good.
    Don't depend on the service to tighten everything. Check your oil drain plug at least.
    Slow now...fast later.

    @lifeisgood070 you need a driver's license for a open track days, e.i track day witch does not require you to have a racing license (witch is costs quite a bit annually)
    There are lots of regulations and a much higher safety standard (witch costs money to meet) for race use of a track the for a track day, so it's much more affordable for us mortals to go to track days then race practice (even if you have a race license)

    MCN: I've got a question to you and commenters, is it ok to go on track day, try your chance and check your skills on 125? but rs 125 is pretty fast. so please if any one will give me any advice, thanks :)

    No mate Smooth just feels slow because you not upsetting the bike, and if your not upsetting the bike you WILL be faster because you don't need to make small corrections all the time that slows you down, that is where you gain time.

    what do you do if you don't have bike licence but I have a gsxr 600 track bike how do I go on as I'm new to this thanks

      @lightx500 8 років тому +1

      +Luke Watson There are many tracks will accept you without a licence but you will need to transport your gsxr to the track in Van or something :) Get a track day in Spain, you should be able to get all inclusive deal for 600 or less. Includes fight and your bike transportation to track and back..

    Noobinacan, if you had bothered to read the post b4 mine, you would have seen my comment was aimed at him saying `old people and bikes dont look cool`. I freely admit to having my arse kicked at a track recently by a henderson cup rider on a gixxer 750. But dont brag about what you cant do. Every trackday i have done this year, not ONE 600 got anywhere near me. Track knowledge is a wonderfull thing. But it will NEVER beat experience and talent.

  • @lifeisgood070

    u have to have a driving license to drive on a track? That sucks. Omg my chain is sooooooo fucking lose right now, hahahah. I'm totally destroying the sprockets.
    I think every track day racer has had a cold tire crash. Freaking blows.
    My biggest recommendation is take a truck/trailer to the trackday event. If you haven't ridden for a few weeks (a few hours a day) you can get pretty tired & sore riding all day @ a track. & riding home 50-100miles tired really increases ur chance of wrecking

    I love when people yap about their 1000cc bikes..paulocbx you'll get owned by a 600 around a track. Guaranteed!
    specially when I know every bend, corner and surface of the track in my sleep.
