Thank you for watching Heinz Breuer, thank you for the warm comment/greetings.. I want to welcome you trackside from along the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad in New Hope Pennsylvania.
Thank you for watching Brian, greetings trackside along the New Hope & Ivyland RR. What do you mean by normal, as you see most of the RR in states where the Covid ain't going find you politically they are still having events/running trains. In states like New Jersey on the other hand Covid will politically find you so many events are canceled, but where allowed to open/run some RR like the Bel-Del and the M&E are running their trains.
@@brianfalzon6739 well for NH&I and SEPTA partnership that made the train happen last year I think it all depends if we were good boys and girls watching the train, riding the train etc. Does SEPTA think any RR could operate a special event train on their tracks/lines without major disruption to their own service also people's safety is a concern? Did you know SEPTA trolley/subway dept has been allowing charters for many years? I myself now have ridden on a handful of those photo charters but that with all septa crews operating the equipment.
Thank you for watching Keeper Of Steam Studios, its possible the caboose wasn't ready yet or a small issue that day they decided not to run it until it got fixed.
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate that. New Hope #40 sure was puffing proud this fall foliage season. I’m glad I was able to see here on the weekend of peak foliage.
That was great Adam. I been the NH&I as a little one with my dad. I haven't return it since 2008 was my last visited. Glad No.40 with a new cabooses and 2198 still running. Glad you got it before the storm.
Thank you for watching John orignally I was supposed to go yesterday but I had last minute things to do, also many wanted me to come up to R&N again but I was up there plenty of times already with more trips planned, but I had to devote some time to the NH&I.. I do like the NH&I RR although I will say it's a fairly expensive ride compared to what you with the R&N for the same price. It's been a while since my last ride on the NH&I when their prices were 20$ bucks for first class.
Thank you for watching Nick, greetings trackside along the New Hope & Ivyland RR. For such a short line/trip of the train, it's actually a sort of challenging chase but a fun one, NH&I really opens up #40 at times.
Adam, I need to ask you something. Why was the engine pulling from the caboose’s end forward and the first coach’s end backwards? I mean, usually in trains the engine pulls the first coach or freight car’s end forwards, and it pulls the caboose’s backwards. Or sometimes they push from the caboose’s end forwards and the first coach or freight car’s end backwards. Some random UA-camr: Oh, so you’re just basically calling Adam out for catching a train going in the wrong direction(s) huh? Well listen here sir/ma’am. Whatever Adam catches, Adam catches. So don’t tell him “Oh, Adam you caught that train going in the wrong direction(s).” Okay, listen here people. Number 1. First and foremost, I am a guy, not a gal. That means that my name is a male name not a female name. Number 2. I’m not trying to call Adam out for catching a train going in the wrong direction(s). Well… maybe to you. But that’s just your opinion. Anyways, yeah. I’m not trying or calling Adam out for catching a train going in the wrong direction(s). It’s just that I had never seen an engine pull from the caboose’s end forwards, and the first coach’s end backwards. I did also see some shots when the engine was pushing from the first coach’s end forwards.
Where did you see the comments from some random UA-camr? Not showing up if they left the comments here. They are the railroad they can do what they want and have reasons for doing what they are doing. These are not toy trains like lionel where when on one end of the layout the train gets to the end, you can just pick up each car and flip it around. This railroad does not have a turntable, loop track, or a wye, they are lucky enough to have passing sidings but that is about it. If you see here 12:17 in the video when the train is going back to New Hope the locomotive has run around the train is now reversing but the caboose is on the end.

@@LibertyRailfan I understand! And I wonder if 40 can run excursions on Septa mainline in the future even more since last year?

Awesome video! I love the new caboose! Wish they would have ran it when I was there!

For such a short distance I can’t how hard it is to chase/keep up with the train, NH&I really have her going at a decent speed on the line.
