First Descendan -Finishing Ajax -Void Walker tank for farming -Body Enhancement tank for colossi!

  • I considered keeping this for colossi fights too. Truth be told, you’ll have no issues still soloing all the colossi on this same build up to Obstructor. That’s because he’s still tanky and that means his barriers with low cooldowns too are still tanky and can easily block most of the hard mode colossus too.
    But your GUN is STILL your primary damage making your AoE spamming mostly useless. Also both you and your barriers are still significantly weaker which doesn’t mean too much for the first few colossi but DEFINITELY DOES for the last few.
    Take it in Gluttony your barriers get one tapped then YOU will get few tapped and even one tapped by his super attacks (or almost). Definitely not worth just for low cooldowns which is all you’re getting at that point.
    So yes my various elemental resist maxed out body enhancement tank loadouts are way better for colossi. Even in farming missions they’re unquestionably “tankier” if they ever make new missions NEEDING more padding than this build provides.
    I doubt it though. This build is perfect for Ajax in the rest of the content of the games as you’ll obliterate waves. Then for the mini bosses you’re STILL very tanky, still heal off enemies, and most importantly STILL have STRONG ENOUGH barriers to absorb everything they do with low cooldowns too and mana recovery on external components.
    Very great balanced tank farmer build for that reason on Ajax. You’re an AoE machine both on skills and guns but still have those barriers, tankiness, and enduring legacy when needed to focus on single tougher targets during missions and also still assisting teammates.
    But yeah I feel once I max his weapons, components, and remaining elemental modules on the various colossi loadouts, you’re looking at an Ajax capable of tackling everything quite well in game. Obviously you’ll never get that “Kill colossus in 5 second!” Hailey build on him! But he can certainly beat anything AS A TANK if you prefer being that…which I do…
    Also, I decided on Spear and Shield over Shield Conversion for this load out because your skills still deal more damage from skill power over the void walker defense buff.
    But that’s all the more reason I have Defense Master on my grenade launcher and why I try to keep it out when I clearly don’t need to resort to guns yet for clearing. DF activates on any kill as long as that weapon is equipped and then I can stack more grenade ammo for later.
    As you saw I really don’t run out of mana often. That’s why I still justify using HP collector over anything mana related. I still want to remain a super tank.
    But when I do, I first always try to keep some mana in reserve to use likely for barriers if needed and then that’s when the launcher, Greg’s Reversed Fate, and zero cooldown on a stronger knock back melee is for. I miss mid air grappling for sure but low cooldown builds lead to low melee cooldown too and best, especially on a mana user, to make it as strong as possible. Shock Punch is the best one in game imo. It deals the most raw damage and always guarantees knock back interrupts on everything in game except bosses.
    And if all else fails just run back some for mp recovery out of combat buff to activate to return to AoE spamming of set up your barriers and use guns.
    This build still has sufficient stats for your barriers to easily tank everything but the hardest colossi in game.

    Hey Fox, love your video so far. I would love to see your idea of a perfected ajax build for the new invasions. My issue with ajax is the reality that he is a jack of all trades but a master at non. We all know the communities idea that void walk is a budget bunny with 50 percent less speed, no one in pubs wants to use the bubble, etc etc. The one area everyone is bringing up ajax is for invasions because their other character's can't tank the damage and easily get gold times. This is where the community needs a vid build to blow thru this new content. I've watched to many ajax videos, shield, vs def, hop around etc. Most everyone has no idea what to even build after the update. All we know is he is a tank

      @@nccrpatrol I don’t see why this build can’t blow through it since you can AoE spam, still pop bubbles when you have time be stationary, and still out tank most bosses. But I’ll test it for invasions later

    U should enable the setting that lets you see the numbers on your health and shield bar

    I've a very similar build to this but with Void Explosion and Maximize Conservation for MP cost. You still have the Void Walk on a low cool down (3.9 secs before Void Energy buff) but I think the 2 stacks of Void Explosion are better since it's a harder hitting skill. Also doesn't split your damage type...not that I use much +damage. It's a fun descendant for sure and feels way better than just doing laps on Bunny. I guess it feels more targeted and involved if that makes sense.
    I don't like how both Void Charge and Void Explosion lower Expulsion damage and when you've got cool downs this low I've been playing without an enhanced mod all together. It's basically the same but with a higher damage Expulsion on a 2 second cool down (no stack).

      That sounds good but I prefer lower cooldowns since it affects everything including even melee. Plus I prefer keeping hp collector and still remaining as tanky as I can at the cost of some MP efficiency I know. But it’s more reason for max CDR build to me so I can also recast barriers to new locations quickly if I realize I’m better off using them and my gun again (which is basically the final boss fight after every dungeon) and also again I just enjoy being able to shock punch with melee forever at 0 MP cost lol. It still has some AoE and knock back stun locks anything in game on demand lol

      I may try yours though cause I admit I hate they nerfed expulsion damage like that made any sense just like they nerfed body enhancement (triple nerfed it actually).
      Now I know how Nexon gets away with nerfing descendants yet promising they’ll never nerf any…they just call it “ buffs” then a minority of “muh balance!” and “it’s only a rework!” come here to defend such crap
