Dior fragrances are so well crafted that I (almost) never get a headache from them. So gorgeous and give you a euphoric feeling. I can’t handle Poison or Poison Girl, too spicy but admit they are beautiful. They made a big mistake dropping Miss Dior Cherie. That was the most beautiful fragrance I’ve ever had. Dior Addict and Addict Eau Fraiche are my favorites now. Love you, I’m writing this in 2022.

since my bottle is a 1.7 oz I use it mainly at night for special occasions(smells bomb in the winter!) or when I just feel like smelling it, it develops very beautiful on my skin. if you wanna an idea on how it smells, Pure Poison smells like a higher quality version of Rare Pearl by Avon

I am 38 and I have been wearing pure poison since I was 22. Always a killer. Hadn’t seen a ex in years one time he recalled this sent on me INSTANTLY as I walked towards him saying ‘you wore that sent on our first date’ ☺️ I love this sent! Tons of complements over the years. So much so I buy my mom Poison every year.
they reformulated it, so i'm guessing you have had the original 2004 version (with the white lid) and the new reformulated version (purple lid), and have you noticed a difference between the two? x

@@isabellaoo I tried a sample of pure poison(probably newer batch) and i liked it so much. So i decided to buy the old batch pure poison with white lid. I found one and bought it. But it smelled rotten, i thought it didnt preserved correctly and returned it. Then i found another old batch with white lid and wanted to give it second chance. But no , it also smelled rotten 😁. I guess old batches are not always good. I believe they reformulated it very well and up to date. I dont wanna believe that there are people who loves old batch pure poison because it smells REALLY BAD unlike the newer batches. Newer batches are heavenly
That;s so strange you say that about the curtains, because before I did my review I was considering saying that it reminded me of white curtains blowing in the wind and the person standing next to them would be wearing white linen trousers...it gives me that kind of airy feel. I literally put Alien Lotion on and layered Pure Poison on top. I didn’t think it’s very strong... but your description about the soft juxtaposed with strong effect is perfect.

I do like this perfume very much. It is light but still hangs on for a long time. It is somewhat complex and very feminine. I had to laugh when you mentioned the "accents of white" on the bottle. Take a closer look...definitely meant to be a feminine fragrance. LOL
Tbh I only bought it so I could switch the cap.. the bottles look so much better! Pure Poison is okay, a bit basic compared to vintage Poison of which I've never found another I consider to be as original while maintaining an odd beauty.

Ya know, I actually blind bought rare pears based on someone telling me that it smelled like pure poison, I gave it away because it didn't smell like it. The smell alike for this one that is really cheap is the pink Victoria Beckham perfume. :) Give it a go if it available near you.

This is true, the vintage one had a white lid. And it was potent! This one for me is one of the reformulations that isn't SO bad. It's such a pretty fragrance.

I wish some brands would look at people’s reactions and take them seriously, if dior looks out for the people they would bring back the old reformulation as another new perfume in my opinion

I miss midnight, all I have left is the bottle and I'm so in love with it. As for pure poison I've bought it only today and I really like it, I've been trying a lot of perfumes after midnight, and I think I found "le coup de cœur" I love the jasmin in it. Nice review Also I think midnight now exists under the name of "Blanc Montaigne", new packaging, more expensive than the original one with slight modifications (those who bought it don't seem to be happy about it)

I couldn't agree more on it being a "wedding scent" + "scented tissues", what a perfect way to describe it. It makes me think of fresh laundry in spring time....strangely!
My absolute favourite for years, I must have gone trough at least 10 bottles of pure poison and few other poisons too, love just - poison in darker bottle too. Hypnotic one is a no no for me, makes me feel nauseas.. Pure one makes me feel ultra clean, sexy and elegant
I had to get a sample of this after I saw your review! I'm so glad I did, it's very soft smelling like you say and very wearable to me. It could be a nice tissue scent but is rather wear it on myself! Bet this will be gorgeous in the springtime. Great review!

I prefer this one, only because a lot of narciso perfumes have a very strong DNA so they are like a family of similar smells. This one is different and very pretty!
I love floral perfumes and my all time favourite was Tendre Poison by Dior. So sad it’s gone...😭 It last forever on my skin! I bought Pure poison this winter. I like it very much, but not as much as Tendre Poison. And it doesn’t last long on my skin...

Yes it’s still amazing!! I have the one with the purple cap and it lasts for 8hours at least on my skin and much more if sprayed on clothes..🙂 Unfortunately I haven’t tested hypnotic poison recently to compare..

It's allll about the indivdual. :) I am 34 and male and wear this fragrance all the time. :) It shouldn't be limited to a specific type of person. There are SO many beautiful fragrances out there that if you stick to rules...you'll miss out!

I don't know, they are silly! It baffles me as to why they discontinued Midnight. :( I'm holding on to my precious drops.

Hey! Great video! I wanted to ask for your opinion- what is the longevity? I read that after the reformulation it is not that long lasting anymore.
I find the longevity still great on this one with the purple lid, it wasn't one of the awful butcherings that keep happening.

Both are lovely, but yes...tendre poison had a lot of heavy white flowers in it. Why did Dior do this to us? boooooo them.

I think Pure Poison is the only EDP; the rest are EDT.

Priya spray it on your clothes it will stay all day long
I advice you to spread a very very ultra super thin layer of Vaseline on your skin before applying the parfume. It makes it last longer. :)
