Great job on the new upflow filter. You can never have too much filtration. I wonder if Evolution Aqua ever imagined the surge in DIYers when they introduced the Tempest to the koi world. Be it Tempest or a DIY upflow, they certainly seem to be a must have for every koi keeper these days. 👍🏻

Hi mate I just drilled a 10 mm hole into the boot and forced the non return valve in and put ct1 on the inside to stop it coming back out and creating a air tight seal 👍

A great video I really enjoyed it you have a new subscriber.
I am original from Nottingham England but I emigrated to Newfoundland Canada in 1990 - 2018 I decided to keep koi in my garden pond like I did in the UK but here the winter is brutal like -20 is very common so we have our own chalenges. Plus we can’t purchase equipment so I have to make everything ie filters etc.

Hi mate thanks and you can get the tubes off an old bubble lamp but it must be the 120cm size hope this helps
