Very nostalgic for me. At Christmastime my grandma would get this catalog and have me pick out what I wanted for Christmas. I miss my grandma. Thank you for sharing this and allowing me to think back on memories of her. Merry Christmas and God bless.
Man I'm slowly starting to feel old, music when I was in high school is starting to play on the oldies station, I will be able to file for an antique license on my mustang in 1 or 2 years and things from 2000 are considering vintage lol. 36 feels like 65 Great video, I love your page turning videos, I still go back to your airplane magazine from time to time!
To make you feel even older, I was literally born in December 2000 so the catalogue is my age. To make you feel younger, my parents who are in their 40s still call people in their 30s "youngsters".
The SEGA Dreamcast really brought me back. I miss that old console. Lots of really fun games! Thanks for the vid, RASMR. It helped make my Christmas Eve even more relaxing!
I’m 25 and this video brought back some pretty sweet childhood memories. Also, your voice, the rain, and the catalogue sounds were all really calming. So thank you 😊 Happy Holidays and have a great New Year!
Just like a lot of people here, seeing this stuff really brought me back to a time when I could actually answer the question "What do you want for Christmas?". The nostalgia is nice, and much needed, this Christmas when a lot of us can't have that Christmas we are so used to having. Great video and thanks for the trip back to my own childhood!
Looking through the toy section of the JCPenney Christmas catalog used to be one of my favorite parts of Christmas as a kid!! I would've been 6 in 2000, so there's a good chance I looked at this when it was new. This is perfect to fall asleep to on Christmas eve. Merry Christmas! 🎅🏻 Edit: After watching, I most certainly think I looked through this one as a kid. Sooo many of the toys sparked memories I had no idea I still had. I think my parents must have ordered our whole Christmas from this catalog. I saw at least a dozen toys we had. This was so enjoyable. 😌
Mr. RelaxingASMR, I'm so grateful for your videos, your'voice, your calm and smooth way to talk! Thank you very much. Your'efforts are very appreciated here in Italy. Your channel is very helpful in these days of semi-quarantine... Marry Christmas to you, to your wife and your family ;)
I was born in 88. I had a little red jeep power wheels. It was my favorite! It definitely looked different than the one in this ad. Thanks for all the content all year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
I was listening with my headphones. Between the rain and the memories from watching this I was almost asleep in 10 minutes. Fighting it. This is amazing. Thank you so much
Seeing this is like walking down my childhood. I had tons of those WWF figures and still collect them to this day, of course they are much more articulated now. I had a lot from that catalog. Thank you for this video. I'd love to see more videos like this from different years. Im always interested in what toys were popular from years past.
I’m in my late 30’s but this even brought back some memories for me. I also have to say.. I adore your videos. You are so nurturing and comforting in a fatherly way which I love so much. I lost my father when I was only 10 and something about you just reminds me of him. Thank you so much that. Can i adopt u as my earth asmr dad? Haha 🙏🏼
We bought our kids the Dirt Devil cleaning set with the vacuum. My daughter would run to grab it whenever I got the real vacuum out so she could help me. It was the sweetest thing. Thank you for the little walk down memory lane!
I'm so excited for this but I'd be over the moon if you got your hands on the 1978 or 1983. Wishbook that would be my top request. Hard to believe a 2000 catalogue is already 20 years old
31:34 is where you start speaking my language. I graduated high school in 2000 so I vividly remember this catalog in particular and for me it was always the video games. I most def asked for a Dreamcast at the time.
I was turning 6 right around Christmas this year. The toy section gave me serious nostalgic feels. Specifically the bmx set and the model engine as I had both, as well as the Sony digital mavica camera which was my grandparents📸
Great video, I was about to graduate HS in 2000. Time is a funny thing in the sense that this doesn’t seem that long ago, but in reality it was half my life ago. Merry Christmas.
Relaxation is the best gift you could have given us :) I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Thanks for the excellent content as always!
I follow so many asmrtists but you have the most genuine and relaxing voice of all of them..... I so appreciate your work, it helps massively when my anxieties don't let me relax enough to sleep..... Merry Christmas and best of wishes for 2021!
Your advice videos changed my life. Thank you. You are a beautiful soul. Wise. Wish I could have a conversation with you or write you some way. Have a great week and weekend, and new year.
I remember seeing the old Major Matt Mason Space Crawler in a catalog like this from the late 60s. It brought back great memories of a toy I thought til then only existed in my dreams.
I was 10 when this catalogue came out and I distinctly remember that cover. My mom always got the Christmas catalog every year and I always looked at them. Blast of nostalgia
30:50 We had that game as kids! I would’ve been 11 in 2000 and can VIVIDLY remember playing that game for hours and hours. We even had the VHS player 😃
I’m interested in knowing how you catalog all these items you have for your videos. You have a lot of interesting stuff so I imagine you keep these things stored in a very organized way.
Wow. Start saving your 2020 catalogues people. In 20 years they will be nostalgic to some youngin. 😅 All of us in our 20s rn are loving this! ♡ Betty Spaghetti. Omg. 😂 Memories.
Coming to the realization that my mom more than likely shopped this catalogue when I was a kid because I had the black and yellow jeep and the swing set growing up
19:57 Those robots in the top right corner with the wires attached from the robot to the controller just brought back a memory of one Christmas when my dad got me a remote control car (which is something I was really interested in getting at the time) and he had just picked a random one and didn’t look too carefully at the box. When we opened it up we discovered it was made with the controller attached to the car with a short (maybe three foot?) wire just like those robots...except the whole point of a remote control car is to be able to move it all around without having to chase after it, stooped over because of a short wire. Whoever designed that car really screwed up. The car was returned right away for a better one. 😅 I can’t understand how that first car ever made it onto shelves with such a bad design flaw. 38:22 How tall is that girl??
You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait til your my age and you'll have an even better grasp of just how fast the years roll by and how precious every moment actually is LOL!
@@RelaxingASMR I'm just holding on tight for when that does happen lol. I already feel old (even though I'm young), but I can already tell that time is flying by a lot faster than when I was younger.
at this part 14:31 on the top left of the page there is a toy metal detector that my grand ma gave me then i was little it did work but not well but still cool
I am 29 years old and this is immediately a blast of nostalgia what a relaxing gift for tonight

the amount of nostalgia this brought back from my childhood was phenomenal and i’m just skimming through, can’t wait to see the full video : )

Am I the only one who could actually recall the smell when he opened the catalog?
Yes.
Cool. Thanks for the feedback, Surreyhill Woodshop.
