Have you seen Camp chef has Upgraded those grills? They now have a small cupboard, that comes out the front, you fill it with wood chips and when you shove it back in it sits right over the Place where the pellets get burnt up. I would consider that one of the best Pellet grills in existence. I did not get a pellet grill, I got a Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 Digital Charcoal Grill + Smoker

Awesome video, but I have a question! If you’re ok with combining the tomatoes with the other vegetables, can they also smoke for the full hour? Or is it best to keep them separate, and at the lesser smoking time?
You get different flavored pellets?? I get pellets from different tree species. Never tried a flavored pellet. Can you tell us where you get them? Thanks.

TIP..When smoking vegetables, don't use oil before smoking. The oil forms a barrier around the vegetable and prevents the smoke from penetrating the vegetable. Also, where's the smoke?
Mind = blown, Doug! I always used oil for the non-stick and seasoning adhesion benefits... never thought about a smoke barrier. Next batch will be without oil and we'll see how it goes. Thanks so much for the tip!

I just came across your video, good tips thank you. A little tip you got to lose that tinfoil on your grill I did the same thing for easy clean up. I had a prime rib roast on mine and looked out the window It was on fire because of the tinfoil.

Hi from Japan. Thank you for your presentation. I would add, though, that for all the pricey and complex equipment used here for smoking, Jamie Oliver just uses a bucket with coals at the bottom, food resting on a rack of sticks on the rim, covered with a damp towel. Anyway, thanks for the idea to smoke all my vegetables! : )

Now that I'm looking for it it was really tough to see! :) I had them low and slow so there wasn't as much billowing out of there.
The Smoke is in the smoker, lol. If you had a smoker, you would know that you don't want a ton of smoke coming out of the stack. If you do, you have your heat up too high. I share this with you with all due respect. I mean no offense.
@@curtiswoods7091 Well, lol, if you had a smoker maybe you wouldn't be watching this video, which spent virtually the whole time showing vegetables being chopped up and hardly any on the actual smoking part.
Great that you're promoting vegetables for the smoker but please promote the use of reusable trays and pans. Single use aluminum foil and trays are not cool anymore.
