Your approach to life is so scientific and logical. Makes things so clear and easy to understand.
Looking forward to watch more of your videos, lots of learning and becoming a better person.

Here are the six most important points from the video:
    • Controlling your eye movements can help improve your focus by reducing the amount of flicker and increasing your concentration.
    • Warming up before starting a task can help your brain transition from an exploratory phase to a concentrating phase.
    • Escalating your focus slowly can help you build up your attention span.
    • Understanding the wave-like pattern of your attention can help you work more effectively and incorporate more of what you enjoy into your life.
    • Paying attention to your body's natural rhythms and taking breaks when needed can help you stay in flow and enjoy the task at hand.
    • Incorporating things you enjoy into your life can make it easier to focus and stay in flow.

    Notes:
    *Control ur eye movements*
-take control of eye movements and flickering
-meditation: gaze at a particular spot for long time
    *Warm Up*
-take deep breaths and clean ur desk before starting work. Only keep things u need on the table (target ur attention). Tell urself that 'okay for the next few minutes/hours, im only going to be focusing on this book and nowhere else'
    *Escalating story*
-progress slowly. Acknowledge current level of attention span, try to challenge urself more n more and track ur progress.
    *Tidal wave of attention*
Attention increases and decreases due to a neurotransmitter called norepinephrine. It keeps varying. Take a break when ur attention level decreases, take a deep breath and start all over again. Follow the wave like pattern of working
    *Stay in flow*
Do what u love and love what u do. Make ur hobbies ur passion so work doesnt feel like 'work'.

this is the suggestion i m searching and got it now

  • @pranavi07
    @pranavi07 26 днів тому

Control your eye movement - use a candle or anything really and fix your gaze on that for sometime
Warm up - pause and calm your mind for as small as 2 minutes before your task - do a small breathwork
Know your current attention span - dont fool yourself here - and steadily keep increasing it
Attention is like a tide - a pulse - so its not our inability or flaw for not being able to focus for very long hours
Engage in a hobby - be present in that - find your flow through it

    HOW TO IMPROVE FOCUS.
    1. START BY CONTROLLING EYE MOVEMENT , KEEP YOUR EYE FOCUSED AT A PLACE . BECAUSE THE MORE YOU MOVE YOUR EYE IN ANOTHER DIRECTION THE MORE YOU GET DISTRACTED.
    2. WARM UP - BEFORE STARTING A TASK TAKE A TWO MINUTES OF SILENCE TO TELL YOUR BRAIN THAT YAA . I AM GOING TO ATTEMPT THIS TASK AND I HAVE TO STAY FOCUS FOR A WHILE UNTIL THE TASK IS DONE .
    3. ESCALATING SLOWLY - BUILDING FOCUS IS NOT EASY . IT TAKES TIME . FIRST ACKNOWLEDGE THE LEVEL OF FOCUS YOU CAN PUT THEN SLOWLY START TO CONCENTRATE AND INCREASE IT .
    4. ATTENTION IS LIKE A TIDAL WAVE - OUR BRAIN IS ABLE TO PUT ATTENTION BECAUSE OF NON ADRENALINE . IT'S A OLD PART WHICH RELEASE SOME CHEMICALS TIME TO TIME THAT HELP US TO BUILD ATTENTION AND THAT'S WHY ATTENTION COMES AND GOES . BUT WHEN IT COMES WE SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE IT AND WE SHOULD STAY FOCUSED BECAUSE IT'S NOT GONNA LAST LONG .
    5. STAY IN FLOW - THERE ARE FEW THINGS WHICH WE ENJOY AS HOBBY OR A JOB AND OUR ATTENTION IS BUILD EASILY SO IN THAT CASE PURSUE THOSE TASKS .

In today's distracting world, Dr. Sid Warrier's insights are a game-changer. Learning from a neuro expert has helped me calm my mind and boost productivity, especially when I'm in a flow state. This made me wonder about the Pomodoro Technique. Is it better to follow the technique's fixed intervals of focus and break, or can I use flexible timeframes? I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the Japanese Pomodoro Technique for deep work, if you have a moment.

Thank you so much, Your explanation has a profound impact on many things we generally try to understand! Please suggest what kind of break practices should be followed when attention wanes. Once distracted by social media, it can take forever to get back to the task at hand. Even though you enjoy what you're doing, especially when working from a laptop, once efforts are invested, there's a significant amount of output, but at the same time, the brain wants to take a break. Could you suggest some effective break practices? Will also await for part 2!
