As a monitor hoarder, I’d say take the board out, get the monitor repaired and store it for when another one poops. I’ve got 3 in storage currently, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing I can have a back up while I get one repaired. Sell the empty cabinet and let someone MAME it.
Believe it or not I have never seen an Arcade 1up in person. Is that the bar top version of X-Men or are they really that small? Seeing the Crazy Taxi chair tower over it is kinda funny.
It's a k7000. You can rebuild & bulletproof it yourself. Recap, reflow, new critical safety cap, HOT, voltage regulator and flyback. Boom! 30+ years of Yippee Ki‐Yay!!! 😀

Maybe have the unico but with a custom made bezel to make it look good? It just seems a waste to put it all in the candy cab and then you have to get rid of a die hard cabinet in good shape.
I like the idea to get something you want and put the die hard board in the candy cab. It is just nice to know that I am not the only one that talks to the cabinets when things don’t seem to be working out as expected . When in doubt bring out the drill and handle your business . 😂
