- The DC-50C Loto is a transformable mobile suit used by Earth Federation's special forces, the ECOAS, and typically operates in pairs. It is developed by the Strategic Naval Research Institute (SNRI) . At around 12.2 meters, the Loto's small size is made possible due to SNRI successfully miniaturizing the mobile suit reactor. Although this reactor's output is much lower than other contemporary mobile suit reactors, it is sufficient for powering the Loto. To serve as a troop carrier, the Loto has a compartment in its back for carrying up to eight soldiers and they exit via a foldable loading ramp in the lower back. The Loto's fixed armaments include two beam burners and a pair of arm-mounted missile containers. It does not possess standard mobile suit manipulators, but can mount a variety of weapons on its shoulders for greater versatility. These optional weapons include a pair of long cannons, a mega machine cannon, or a small machine cannon.

The return of old fashioned balistic weapons with this one. I especially love the sound of the minigun rounds shreding through the armor of the Dra-C.
Honestly it's only ballistics because it's reactor strength is not that much different than a zaku 1's if

The artillery is energy based. You can see blue energy pulses spiraling in on themselves when it fires on the Geara Zulu. Seems to be the muzzle flash. Though considering the Jegans' seemingly hybrid energy/ballistic vulcans, the lottos' cannons might be similar. I would say I doubt it as we never see them eject shells but neither did guntanks or guncannons so it could really go either way.
@@themrfives for the latter think it's just they never thought of that during development and I don't think it's stated the jegans uses energy/balistic hybrid Vulcans
Think that's just the visual and audio effects giving that appearance
The loto probably uses something akin to caseless shells where they can fire the ammo but no need to have ejection ports for the shells
Gotta love the concept of theses guys.
I think this is the most optimized mecha, can synergies with infantry and supporting them on the field

If I remember correctly, the Lotos were also seen in atleast 3 more scenes not seen here:
1 - before the Battle of Palau when the Nahel Argama received its new MS (could be wrong(
2 - right after the Kshatriya is captured, both Daguza and Conroy are talking on a Loto
3 - during the Battle of Laplace, they are being towed by Rezels (I think it was after Banagher realizes its a trap and thus they started retreating back to the ship)
They were also deployed via dummy asteroids into Palau to dispense the troops that planted the explosives on the connecting sections of the colony.
And the last Loto is seen being destroyed during the final battle between the Nahel Argama and Neo Zeon.
The Loto is perhaps the most Armored Core-esque mobile suit in the MSG Universe!

Well, consider the Loto works like a IFV with tank firepower it does have it's advantage:
One Loto can secretly deploy 2 Squad Special Forces units (4 troops per squad) from enemy lines, and can commence tactical sabotage any vital position for main forces offencive.
And the Loto firepower, although it has limit advantage when against MS but still have enough power against other light armored targets (including infantry).
Reminds me of the Mi-24, but this time it actually is able to pull off both a gunship and transport role without compromise
It actually fairs very well against other suits, It has enough fire power to deal with them and is pretty fast and nimble. Tbh it’s one of the best and most realistic designs to be somewhat feasible.
You left off the part where the Lotto tries to fight back against the Sinanju

Seeing the D-50C Loto, really reminds me of Armored Core.
They look like something I might see in Titanfall or Armored Core game.
the Loto is a really scary suit if use by a skill pilot small and agile and with the inf it can carry can cause chaos behind enemy lines.
I’ve always got a fondness for the uglier looking mobile suits, and this is one of my fave ugly suits, right up there with the Zaku Cannon.
This is certainly one of those kinds of mobile suits you definitely wanna pilot. It looks just like the kind of machine that would bail you out during the climax of a big firefight. Surrounded, outnumbered, outgunned, in comes this badass tank delivering a volley of missiles and a squad of troopers to secure your escape as you get to live to fight the good fight another day.
I love the way it looks but I'm pretty sure this would get dunked on by almost any MS in a fair 1v1, not too sure I'd trust it with my life

I think there were only two confirm pilot death for the Loto and those deaths are from sneak attacks.
They were damn good, until the main antagonists arrived.

Looks familiar, like the prototype suit from Halo Legend.
I always thought how cool these guys were for fire support. Set them up in the right spot and let them lay down the hate. Their pilots are no slouches either. Also the design is just cool. A no frills war machine.

i think its to safe to say if Lotto is the first trully Miniaturized Mobile Suit that got Mass Produced. yes, its still in relatively small number, but its still mass produced nonetheles
There is such a thing called limited production, this is definitively not mass produced
@@isaiasvazquez5792 yeah sure, but if you look at other source like comics ... that thing pop up too often for limited production mobile suit such as Hyaku Shiki MP Type and ZZ Gundam MP Type that only produced less than 10 unit. and to make it more clear, ECOAS are not the only one using them, even other specs ops using it. so they obviously not a limited production since they produce in quite large number compared to other limited edition

I'm not sure how such a tiny frame is able to pack such firepower. It's 1/3rd the size of a normal MS.
The Loto is 12m and the average MS size is 18m, so it's definitively not 1/3 of the size of a normal MS. It also only has physical weapons, which is fine when you're basically shooting people in the back like you see in this video, but you'd always wanna have beam weaponry if you could.
@@isaiasvazquez5792 - How can Loto's tiny shoulder cannons destroy mobile suits when we know a Zaku's giant 180mm cannon shell can't even dent the original Gundam?
@@TheBigExclusive the dra c armor is actually weaker than a standard Mobile because of the way it was built using partially destroy zakus or any mobile suits they can salvage so the armor integrity is less than a normal MS
@@TheBigExclusiveand what I can find the lotos gatling is that of 88 to 90mm rounds which can pierce through MS in mid to close or if you hit the thrusters and engines.
Maybe they cannot fire those cannon for a long time. I'm more concern about how they squeeze 8 fully armed personnel into those tiny backpack, both of sides are treads, above is more likely the reactor, thruster and maybe ammunition for its machine gun. Those men should fell like canned tuna on their trip to battlefield lol.
