That plane landing in the middle of the tulip fields, ruining all the tulips and no one coming out to them screaming "Wat denk je dat je godverredomme aan het doen bent?! WIE GAAT DAARVOOR BETALEN!?!?" is unrealistic... Not even a single tikkie was send.

Hi! Dutch person here. They’re in a specific part of the netherlands that is completely designed to look very oldfashioned. It’s called an open air museum. If you look up broek op langedijk online it’s the same adress too! This is actually the most accurate representation of the netherlands I’ve ever seen in any movie or series.
As someone who’s actually from Broek op Langedijk, this is the weirdest thing ever… I dunno how to feel about it, it’s kinda playing weird stereotypes but my dead ass town got mentioned in Spiderman so that’s pretty cool i guess
Yeah my sister lives in Heerhugowaard...been in Broek a few times...the livestock in the marketplace and the cheese everywhere...whatever...let's just roll with it. Let them have their stereotypes.

When I saw the scene in the cinema I really had to laugh, "Broek Op Langedijk" is 20/25 min away from me. So I am quite proud of the Dutch representation in the film. And secretly I think they did that on purpose because of Tom's last name 😂 Tom Holland

Er lag hooi op de straat en liepen geiten rond. De gebouwen zien er meer Frans dan Nederlands uit (en ik weet dat het een openluchtsmuseum is maar Nederland ziet er niet meer zo uit!)
Het is echt heel slecht. Had liever gewoon dat ze naar Amsterdam gingen. Tenminste ziet Nederland er daar niet uit als een derde werelds land.

Broek op Langedijk is real. I live there. However its nothing like in the movie at all. Google earth it for some pictures you see its a very lovely place to live. The dutch speak in the scene is genuine though. Still a funny scene though.

I think it's cool to have large media like this feature the Dutch either way. Would be cool to see something featuring the maesland floor gate. It's one of the largest movable man made structures.

I’d love to see either a Dutch movie or a big foreign movie featuring the Maeslandkering, the Oosterscheldekering (just generally anything that has to do with our flood prevention system), or have a plot take place in our beautiful cities that aren’t Amsterdam or The Hague.

Immigratie is niet per definitie verkeerd, het lost het probleem op dat er te weinig kinderen worden geboren in verhouding met de babyboom. Wanneer je een vergrijsde bevolking hebt moeten er meer kinderen geboren worden of aangevuld worden met migratie om de huidige economie te stutten.
Het is goed om te zien dat er een Brabant ook migratie is maar voornamelijk van kansrijke studenten. Hierdoor zie je onder andere dat de uitkeringen in steden zoals Amsterdam maar met namen Rotterdam erg hoog liggen. I live close to Broek op Langedijk. This doesn't look like it, although parts of it have old style buildings. There are no goats walking around market places. :)
It was filmed in Prague Also Broek op Langedijk has no train station. Although the train station of Heerhugowaard is actually within a kilometer of Broek op Langedijk. However Broek op Langedijk has no police station, closest police station is also in neighboring Heerhugowaard (but quite a bit farther away from Broek op Langedijk than the train station). Heerhugowaard unlike Langedijk is a very modern looking small city.
However it is nice to have some other Dutch place but Amsterdam being featured in a movie. To bad it doesn't actually feature in it because it was not filmed there. : (
But I have to give my compliments of us Dutch being portrayed as nice people in the movie. :)
