Decisions decisions😂 I’ve actually started to branch out, watch Owen likes Comics the other day for some long format stuff and I’ve popped over to Joel for X-Men🤌🏼
Everyone's favorite flying green elf. As for the voice, I'm always in a toss up between Neil Ross's Green Goblin and Steve Blum's Green Goblin. It kind of bleeds into his Orochimaru portrayal, but Steve's Goblin is distinctly his and he nails it.
Surprised it wasn’t mentioned, but in Amazing Friends, when Norman remembers he’s the Goblin, his skin changes to green. I don’t know why they did that, because it implies he’s just a green dude in a purple bathing suit 🤣🤣🤣
The paint for the Spider-Man movie goblin is color shifting green to purple is why it did that. Like the car colorshift paint. I still say No Way Home is the best live action GG,
I'm a big fan of Sal, been watching since Little house. Really great to see him come around to Spider-man '94. Such a shame to hear Disney has no plans of giving that show the x-men '97 treatment.
21:00 but wait! In the Amazing Friends Norman actually morphs into a green goblin, so this one time his fangs aren't fake and he is naked dude under that purple onesy
I like the classic 616 look of him being a weird lil creature on a glider. That's fun and actually Goblin-esque. I feel Hulk!Goblin is just kinda "well that's just abomination" and the RaimiMovie Suit could do with some colour variation + a whole suit of armour thing verges on Iron Man territory.
When I imagine the green goblin i always think of Terry Dodson’s design or the original. (Which fun fact your Marvel Knights Spider-Man back issues episode was the first I ever watched) Heck now sometimes I think of the new Ultimate Green Goblin Design
Its funny whenever I read Goblin shooting lazers I am a little surprised. But I dont remember him firing lazers in the 90s cartoon cuz everyone fired lazers in that show.
undead goblin killed one of the Avengers with his lasers in a great Avengers annual. two parts where the Avengers and WCA all are killed and have to fight the best iteration of the Legion of the Unliving to live again. a great bad guy team included Green Goblin, Dracula, Korvac and others.
I’m 15 mins in and I would be remiss if I didn’t point out how all the things you love came from Steve Ditko, yes the first appearance was the broomstick, but after that he had the glider, then later he was using the ghosts. It would be interesting comPring Ditko’s first Goblin with is final appearance before Romita took over. He Even Ditko’s Spider-Man is vastly different.
i don't want artists to make Norman look like Tommy Lee Jones anymore. i was really sick of them doing that in the oughties. Tommy Lee played a couple of villains but he's also been in great cowboy and action movies as the hero or at least as a good guy .
@Draliseth i think it was earlier. it caught on and stuck so you see it in many subsequent Norman appearances . Deodato is my third favorite modern comics artist especially his work on Dark Avengers
Green Goblin and the other goblins are a hard live action thing. Do you go mask, we now have more form fitting and moving silicone masks but still lose the comics face motion. Personally I think next time try like No Way Home style and change the formula some, play up the Jekyll and Hyde part and have his skin green as goblin. Better than Davie putting warpaint on but if it made him more green skinned so you still get the actors facials
Whenever Sal and Joel get together I just get nostalgic….it’s not even been that long since they did the last show!
I miss joel 🙏🏽
He has a whole other channel you can watch.
@@comicpopreturns
But then he'd miss Sal.

20:22 Miles Warren will eventually claim the title of naked green dude

I'm such a sucker for tier list. It combines my two favorite things: comics and organized shelves!

I love Joel's goblin impressions!! Such a crack up
We all love Joel.
The beards workin’ Joel, thank you gents for the show as usual!

The third you used I think it's art by Luke Ross. That also has the yellow eyes, "those horrible yellow eyes!"

i love these outfit rankings and i love green goblin! keep making em and ill watch

Unlimited Spider Man's goblin was quite different with the wings and all.

Was that a Deodato Jr. thing?

Kind of dissapointing not showing any Ross Andru artwork 😢
Thunderbolts green goblin with the loincloth and the medieval style scale mail just full fucking insanity. I love it.
8:09 oh dude, i would be so down for a green goblin cereal.

Wow nice composition setup 👍🏿
I would argue superhero based musicals can work because “holy musical B@man” is a thing.
The image you were wondering aboutbis credited to Luke Ross
I saw turn off the dark when I was 10, and that green goblin terrified me, in hindsight that suit is ridiculous
Spider-man's greatest nemesis, is, and always will be, Peter Parker.
SPOOON! I need another Tick episode.
Menace was a fine female Goblin
Ultimate Goblin is just abomination lol
