This song's a grower. The first time I heard it, I was like, it's okay compared to their others songs from their latest album, but as I listen to it more, it gets better. Edit: Jimi Hendrix would be proud of Kanami's guitar tone.
I think the solos were in keeping with the overall feel of the song. Tortured, screaming, chaos. I think this is one of their best songs as far as writing goes - just a really well crafted piece. The vocals were very good as well, and being 100% English really helps us “Japanese challenged” fans! 😋
With powers and abilities far beyond mortal woman...... Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No! It's Super pigeon. Yes. She is flat out amazing.
I read comments from the last concert in Line Cube Shibuya, they played this song and people said it was so much better than the studio version. The Blue Ray and DVD from that concert it will be release this year in April 29.
This song is great. 1st thing, that part with the guitar that you like at the beginning is actually Miku doing it and not our Mincho! 2nd Thomas Kenny write this song. He did the lyrics while the Maids did the composition with the help of the legendary Tony Visconti, who worked with many big artists like the legendary David Bowie.
I love it. This explosive track is one of my favourites. To hear Band Maid taking on the blues like this shows their full-spectrum rock diversity, and for me, really cements their place among the greatest rock bands 🤟⚡️🔥✨🎀 And yes, I wanted a bigger solo too,, though what Mincho did was awesome, & I guess is more ‘playing for the song’. But also those drums...Wow ✨...A-chan 😄👍...& just the band working as a cohesive whole...Solid!
Good review. The song gave you energy. Now that you mention it, Kanami’s solo could have been longer, but her guitar work is so wonderful anyway. I did like Saiki and Miku’s vocal harmonies. I’m very pleased with how the song came out. This song was a collaboration with legendary producer Tony Visconti.
Nice reaction! A lot of people complain about the song having too much compression and ruined the song, I thought so as well... It's basically the most skipped song in the album for me but after watching this MV 5-10 times, I start liking it more... That's the magic of Band Maid's MV.... I want to hear it live and get the real feel of the song...
Yeah, love it, too. Highly underrated Band Maid song imho - one of their best. 🤷🏻♂️. I dig the darker, heavier intensity of the tones used and the pounding solo section. 🤘🏼🎸🔥🔥🔥😎
Maybe spend a few days at the seaside John? Fresh air and sunshine, if there is any, will do you good. Hope you feel better soon. Glad you like the song. Red .Corre has given you details about the song.
You ask us what we think about it. I prefer that they sing in Japanese. Firstly I am not an English speaker, my first language is French and I learned Japanese. However, I still like the song. This song was produced by Tony Visconty in the former David Bowie studios when they came to New York last September. He likes them and wants them to be a wider audience. Miku added his touch to the lyrics. And I also met them at their concert. A memorable moment for me. love your Iron Maiden t-shirt and you have become a fan of Band-maid !!!
I have looked for Thomas Kenny and he cannot be found anywhere. He is not listed with ASCAP or BMI. His name appears in no professional listing anywhere. There is no bio for him on Wikipedia or anywhere else for that matter. There are no photos available of him. Now why is it he cannot be found anywhere? The obvious answer is he does not exist. And please someone prove me wrong if you can. My personal opinion is that Tom Kenny is a pseudonym for Tony Visconti. And Tony has done this very thing before. Just one example: on Bowie's song Fame produced by Tony, John Lennon is listed as Winston O'boogey. I applaud our ladies getting real and the very serious subject matter. It means that they are growing as artists and human beings. Band-Maid will appear at Budokan in a solo show where they will be seen by over 14,000. And their appearance at Inkcarceration 2020 in Mansfield, Ohio on July 11th will put them in front of an even larger audience. Inkcarceration drew 40,000 last year. Thank for continuing to support the best damn hard rock band on the planet today. Peace.
I felt like i heard this song 1000 times before i finished listening to it the 1st time. They can do better than this, im chucking this song into the pit in my basement along with Thrill. The music sounded like the generic rock youd hear in american truck commercials.

Miku's vocals were great in this song.
Awesome song, awesome talent! I like watching reactions to Band Maid on a couple of sites. No one has mentioned that this song is sung in 100% english
MISA MISA MISA! the pick scrape you focused on was done by none other than our little Pigeon, hasn't she come a long way.

I saw them in Nagoya and Kobe playing this song with less echoes and overdubs, so for me it sounded more direct and clear. Often can less be more.
I was there, my first Band-Maid live. It is true that they said. This song was a killer.
This has slowly become my favourite track on the album: everybody is on great form and Kanami's guitar work is amazing.
🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!! 🤘🤘
Glad to see you on this one!!!! Hope you feel better soon John!!! 🤘🤘

Very Zepplin like. Bluessy and retro sounding. Enchanting vocals. Keep up the great reviews. Well done.

What's up john for you I met this band that has me crazy it's good to see you here again Greetings 🤙🤙
I love how Kanami is straight up soloing throughout the whole song
Totally agree.
To me , sober or drunked, is the best japanese band.
The most sensible answer I have heard in my whole life.

Cool song! But...Looks overtly political...Love Band-Maid, but politics ruins everything...eventually...
