    Yes that’s why I canceled Netflix and only allow myself to watch Dan’s and other business videos to “relax” haha. It was painful at the beginning but without eliminating BS you can’t achieve your dream life

    If business is just problem solving and problem solving is just learning + execution, and most people are bad at starting a business, then most people are bad at learning and execution, not really bad at business specifically. It also means that first step in teaching business is teaching people how to learn, which is what Dan is doing here. I just find it interesting that the success that everyone wants is dependent on a simple skill that you would think everyone would have. It’s very odd to me that most people are able to survive in the world without the ability to learn or operate.

      Wouldn't it be the ability to simply transfer from a student mentality to being an owner and taking ownership. We're trained to sit down and shut up. So when we want to take out skills and create our own business from them, our mentality is such as this, yoyo being stuck, thinking we're not capable enough

      @@moneymaven5 True, you can't think to learn or try something in the first place if you don't even have agency. As you go up through the levels of business, higher up almost always correlates with less physical work and more conceptual responsibility. Most people would rather do predictable physical drudgery than take on complex responsibilities.

      Sure, I'm a university teacher and I see students switching programs all the time, after trying for 1 semester. They go from medicine to engineering to arts. Thinking that they are not good at math or at any particular subject, when they don't realize what they have to do 'is freaking put the hours, focus, stop waisting time, stop getting drunk every single weekend, playing videogames, etc. And that happens to everyone not only young people. Older people only wants to see the news and soap operas, because it's easier just thinking that their life is over

    Dan Henry talking about "Effects-based Analysis" in layman's term. This is where I can really say that you're a walking VSL! Always love your content, Dan. Please DO NOT EVER stop!

    This is exactly what I've been doing.
    But I wouldn't even get to make the mistakes because I'd find something wrong with the biz and quit and jump on to finding another one and do it all over again. It's insanity

      how so?

    • @moneymaven5
      @moneymaven5 9 місяців тому

      @@vfont8567 because so many people start out wanting to own a business, they run into problems and then quit. They cannot see how to step out of the box, get into a CEO mindset and actually push through the wall.. sticking with the first thing. These setbacks are only temporary. Anyone who's tasted true success can see this. It's the people new to taking on real problems directly related to what they've put out there personally that walk back, change course, thinking it's going to be better, and it never is because they didn't take the time to solve their initial process in the first place.
