  • Heyyy, I just wanted to talk a bit about the process so far and what I've done, as well as what I've struggled with a bit so far. It's not supposed to be a strictly informational video, but more just my feelings and experience as I'm going through the process and stuff. HOWEVER!
I filmed this a few days ago and there's already been some updates.
First of all, my documents arrived well in Korea and was delivered to the school yesterday. Today I got me letter of admission, along with other needed documents for the visa application.
I also sent a bunch of emails back and forth with the Korean embassy today, as I have made an appointment two days from now, and I needed some help with filling out the forms etc.
I need to go to Oslo to apply for the visa, so I'll probably vlog that because why not :)
Most of my familiy now knows about my plans too! The general consensus is mild confusion but also support, a laugh and a shrug.
ps. Jae I don't know if you'll see this but I don't know how to get in contact with you actually, haha. Feel free to let me know! Or if you don't feel like it anymore, don't worry about it ^^
also also, I'm going to try to manually add subtitles from now on but it takes a whiiiiiile so they might be out some time after the video itself while I get used to doing it.
Don't forget to subscribe so you won't miss any videos!

Hello, I'm kind of confused. I just started watching some of your videos and was not sure what country you're originally from. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and currently finishing 3rd of university. I wanted to take a year off and enjoy myself because I've been feeling so stressed and mentally worn out due to university. I always had this fascination with visiting Norway. I don't know why. I have no family or friends there but what I've seen seems so beautiful. That's how I came upon your channel. I'm planning on traveling to either Norway or Denmark later this year, before I go back to university in January and finish my last year. Is there anything you recommend doing in Norway that is special or fun? My second choice is Denmark because I spent a few years there as a child before moving to Canada. I have family there but not in Norway. Sort of scared traveling alone to a country I know nothing about. Any advice? Thank you, bye.

Hi there! I was born in Vietnam, and adopted to Norway when I was 2 months old. Don't worry about being confused about that though, it's not exactly part of my video intro lol.
I think visiting Norway sounds like a great idea! The nature is awesome, you can easily get by with just English, and even though people are introverted and keep to themselves, they'll be very friendly if you approach them first. But why not visit both? There's a boat going between Norway and Denmark called "Danskebåten" which is pretty inexpensive (if I recall correctly), and it doesn't take that long either. If you're already travelling as far as the nordic countries, why not just look around the nearby areas too? :)
I'm about to travel far by myself, and live in a country where I don't know the language very well, and where the few friends I have are either really busy people, or live far away. I totally get why you're feeling nervous! But I just try to keep my mind on all the awesome experiences I'll have, and all the things I'd like to do. I think it'll be worth it, even if I'll have to face some difficulties along the way! I hope you'll get a wonderful experience when the time comes :)
(and if you want more spesific advice, maybe you could give me some spesific questions? It's hard for me to think of stuff since I live here and I'm used to everything, but if you have anything spesific you're wondering about, please let me know!)
