Repairing a cracked plastic rainbarrel

What's going on everybody rob here with a little video on repairing plastic. this is my attempt at repairing a garbage picked plastic rain barrel. I do have some flex seal tape on the inside of the barrel. although I did melt in some little metal fencing in order to in order to try to weld the plastic together. I did not use epoxy although I know epoxy would have held better. I just used gorilla glue. I allowed the gorilla glue to set for three days. I even set it outside so it could get some UV rays from the sunlight. I do want to use this for a rain barrel. But for right now I have to put my marble crayfish inside of this barrel in order in order to reseal the 125 gallon fish tank. Normally with plastic welding if it's just decorative it's plastic weld together. but this is the bottom of a rain barrel so where all the weight will be of the water. If I get a little leak while im putting the marble crayfish in I really would not mind. But if it does crack and water gushes out then I'm backed to ground zero. I just welded together the outside of the barrel I did not attempt to Weld together the inside of the barrel although I did put flexile tape on the inside of the barrel. later on today I will be filling this rain barrel with water And let's see if this plastic weld held and trying to plastic weld together A 55 gallon rain barrel.

This barrel is still holding water although if you live in a freezing temperature zone you have to make sure they're empty or bring them inside over the winter

@@RobHereAKATrev2323 i tried the same this this year and held up fine during the summer. Will definately be draining for the winter here in canada
