Sometimes you might want to record the drums on the road, outside, in a field, or on a mountain. Capturing high-quality audio outdoors without power is actually a lot easier than you might think!
In this video, I’ll show you how we recorded the drums on the side of a mountain in Germany while visiting the Sonor Drums factory.

I'm convinced this is the ideal way to record drums or guitar or anything loud. If youve never seen the video of the guy playing a 4x12 cab outside a warehouse
Clean sound
Thanks Juan!
in love :) great job!
Thank you!
good job
If wind helps, it's actually amazing to record outside
Exactly😅
Is that the Phil Rudd Snare? Sounds nice✌️
not playing cymbals....
Was literally playing the cymbals the whole time dude
Hello Sir . I am one of your bigest fans on instagram and UA-cam.
My question is : zoom F8n recorder good enough to make good quality sounding videos for streaming on UA-cam and instagram? Or an 8 line sound card?
And wich one of these microphones sets have better qualities :
Audix Fp7 or Akg session 1 or audio-technica Dk7 ?
Thank you so much for answering 🤟
Hey sounds great! Looking for tips on overhead placement and polar pattern choice.
Thanks Mike! You can find more on that at recordeo.com ! I recommend to use a "Spaced-Pair" stereo pair of cardioid mics for the overheads in just about any studio and genre situation.
Great video! For the overheads, did you measure a particular distance from the snare or kick?
nice brother
I wonder how the room mics sound
Triggers on the toms ? No mention of that
lmao no dude, they are earthworks mics
no cymbals in the demo? :(
But what’s the power supply?
How do you deal with the wind?????
Gift me one drumming set🙏🙏🙂
Which mics on toms?
it's an Earthworks DM20
cool thank you
You went up there and didn't even use the crashes/ride haha😢😢😢😢
