This is by far the simplest explanation I've found. I've had to replace my band 4 or 5 times (they wear out and break), and some channels are so long-winded, and pushing their "repair kits", and after 3 or 4 minutes of this, they finally show you what to do. Yours is simple and to the point. Really appreciate it!
After hours trying to remove the band on my fitbit watch with no luck, I watched your video and had the old band off and the new one fitted BRILLIANT! Thank you so much!
Thanks. I struggled to work it out for myself for a few minutes but then decided to watch your video. A very clear and patient description of every step. My strap had broken so it was important to change it.
I watched several videos on this topic. Yours was by far the clearest and easiest to follow, and the only one to include installing the new band so that it was oriented correctly on your wrist. Thank you!
Thank you so much! My band is damaged on the buckle side. I thought I had to buy a whole new FitBit. I just ordered a new 3 pack set from Amazon. Your instructions are so clear, and the replies from viewers, helped me realize that I need only a new band. Thank you again!
Thank you so much! This was extremely helpful and easy to follow. My original band stretched to the point where it work keep popping off - so frustrating. This has also happened to several of my friends. It's great to have replacement bands in various styles and colours which I can now change over whenever I need to - thanks again for the video.
Hi Tech Gurus! I changed my FitBit band within 30 seconds WHILE watching this video. It was very very easy once you showed me how. I decided to change to a bright coral color for the springtime. Thank you!!
This video was extremely helpful and easy to follow. The little band that holds your straps together broke on mine. I didn't want to spend the money because the straps weren't broken but I finally did and am happy with the change in color.
I'd had a problem with my band a few months ago. The magnet pulled off when I was struggling to retrieve something behind my washing machine. A week later I finally found both magnet and the tiny gasket holding it in place. Bought a spare in case it happened again. It didn't but I decided to have a change. This video makes it so easy! Thanks so much.
One day I will learn how to change this myself instead of coming to your channel to change my bands which I often do. I bought a pack of 12 so that I could wear a different color every day or so so I always pay you a visit and you make it so so easy thanks again...I've been here about ten times...duh...lol
Thanks for taking the time in making this video. I received my Charger II as a gift 3 years ago because my brother knew I ought to lose weight. I went and bought a mesh gold tone bracelet to replace the original one. The mesh one just broken. Had you not made this video available I probably would have broken the FitBit attempting to replace the original band. This underscores just how global we are today. Here I am in the state of confusion - broke band in New York, New York and there you are some where I guess in the British Isles providing advice and direction to a FitBit challenge NYer. Thanks again "mate"you saved the day.
Thanks, Tech Guru! My Fitbit Charge 2 band had broken, and I was struggling to put on the new one -- until I found your clear, short tutorial. Problem solved!
Thanks for this easy to follow video with verbal instructions. This is the second time, I have had to replace a broken band and both times, I turned to this video to help me remember how to do it.
Thank you so much! I can normally do it without any trouble but struggled this time, your description in this video solved it for me - really appreciate it!
After watching two other videos that did a horrible job of explaining the steps, I finally found clear step by step directions! Thank you! The metal part of my original band broke. Thanks!
Thank you for the assistance Tech Guru! Completed the process before the video ended. A girl needs fashion options...just purchased 6 different bands...solids, florals, abstract prints. Needed a bit of fun as I attempt to get those 10,000 steps in each day.
Thank you so much for making this video--it was extremely useful! That was amazingly simple and well done! I am changing my band to a smaller sized one because I lost 100 lbs using the device and the large band was falling off.
You're a life saver. I accidently pulled one end of the band off and had no idea how to replace it. I was afraid I had broken it. I would also enjoy a briefing on the setup and apps usage of the Charge 2.
This video helped me to remove and replace band, which is a very very easy process. Now that I know how, for the life of me I can't figure out why this video wasn't 20 seconds long, which is long enough to show the back of the watch and the clip to push. Thanks for the way-longer-than-it-needs-to-be video.....
Thank you for making it short and sweet. I had to replace my band because when I was carrying heavy grocery bags sitting on my wrist it basically broke the buckle part of the band. I had a black one so this time I ordered a replacement white one. Thanks again.
I love my Fitbit 2, have had it 4 years now and have had 3-4 bands. Your video is saved in my account because it is easy to follow, short and to the point. Thank you!!
Thank you for the informative video. After trying to find some instructions to change the band, I finally found your video. Thanks for the explicit instructions. I changed the band immediately no problem!
Thanks so much for the How-To video, TG. I knew it was straight forward because I had to change the band more than 1 year ago. However, when I looked at the clasps I couldn't remember how to open them. I knew if I used a screwdriver and tried to open a clasp the wrong way, I could do serious damage to it. I was very happy to find your video as you made it especially for the charge 2. After watching it, it took me less than 1 minute to put the new band on. The old band had ripped near the clasp almost completely through. I didn't even notice it until the next morning and I have no clue as to why it ripped. Thanks again!
Thank you for the video. One of the straps kept coming off my fitbit, so I bought a new band and I was worried I would damage something while removing the other strap and fitting the new band. This video was very clear and easy to follow - my new band is fitted with no issue.
Thanks for very clear and concise info on changing Fitbit Charge 2 strap. The loop securing the strap closed had broken on mine so had to replace the strap.
My old band was plastic, and made my arm itchy and break out. I just got this leather one in the mail with no instructions! 😳 Your video helped me change it out, in seconds!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you very much for this simple demonstration. My band split and when the new one came I had no clue how to get the old one off and the new one on, but I had it done in a couple of minutes watching your video.
Thanks for this demo. I’m on my 5th band since 2018. I always reference your site when I need to change a broken band. Old one off - new one on successfully this evening.
Thanks Tech Guru. jus what I needed to know! It's now a old model of fitbit but still functional! got new straps, different colours for diff look. Easy to get on, trick to get off! Keep doing what you do. There's always someone who wants to know! Thanks from the bottom of the world, New Zealand.
I just placed my third band onto my Fitbit charge 2 watch. The bands break at the one end ( the buckle part). This last band lasted 2 days short of a year. I ordered two from GOSTRAPS and am very happy with them. They took almost a month to arrive from China, but they were on sale plus 15% off for my first order. They carry size small and a huge array of colors too. Thank you for your informative video!
Thank you, it was very helpful. My watchband had broken and I had to wait several days to get a new one. I am so used to wearing it - really missed it. These tech videos are great!
Thank you! Just wanted a change. Have had the blue one for quite some time, switched it to purple. It was a much easier procedure than I had anticipated.
I couldn't do it as quickly and smoothly as you but I still was able to accomplish the task following your steps. My band broke (the rubber bit that holds down the strap) so I got 3 new replacement bands and look forward to changing them out as my moods change!
Thank you for this. This would be the 2nd time I've replaced the band over the 6 years I've had my fitbit. The last one was starting to peel away. Really helpful vid. Thanks again 👍
This was a really tricky removal but with your how-to video I was able to take the old one of and put the new won on without worrying about damaging the Fit Bit. Thanks!
Thank you for this! I had to change my Charge 2 band because one of the clasps broke. I bought a $10 leather replacement on Amazon. Let’s see how long this one lasts. Pretty straight forward video w clear instructions, i like.
Good tutorial. Thanks for the clear instructions. I replaced my metal mesh band with a plastic one because the metal mesh band was catching on things and fraying my long-sleeved sweaters. As a bonus, I find the softer plastic band is much more comfortable than the metal mesh band. Also the fitbit stays put on my wrist now instead of falling down onto my hand. Very happy with the change! I almost gave my fitbit away until I realized I could buy a new band instead!
Changed mine because I wore it out. The side with the holes broke after 3 years. Then I used your video about a year ago to change it to a new knock off brand band. It lasted about a year and the plastic under peg that sits in a hole and holds it in place broke off then breaking the small band around the buckle side That also holds it in place. Got to use your video again! Thanks!
Yup, I still have the Charge 2 and this helped - I had to get a replacement charger because the old strap broke off during a storage run and god knows where the charger itself disappeared to. Thank you.
Thank you for the easy straightforward instructions. I am waiting for a warranty replacement but feel confident that I can do this, if there isn't something broken in the mechanism.
Thank you so much. My Niece gave me her old Fitbit cause she got an Apple Watch. I’m almost 70 so have to rely on channels like yours. I liked and subscribed. Have a great week Ps my band wasn’t broken, I just wanted different colors.
Thank you so such for the ez instructions. Was able to replace orignial band without worrying that I would damage the replacement band. Built my confidence!
Thank you. Easy to follow. Had to replace the band because the little circle on the buckle side that clips onto the side with the holes (after several years and minor tape repairs) finally had one to many cracks and could no longer be repaired.
Thank you for this video. I needed to change the band bc the current one is old & worn out. I tried a few times to change the band but couldn’t figure out if I should pull, push, or twist it. I was afraid I might break it. But your video made it look so simple. Thanks again!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I have actually created a specific wearables You Tube channel now should you be interested - including Fitbit videos ua-cam.com/channels/bAiMz3iEkPT9WqSUvqArvw.html
Given the number of comments here, it's clear that the process of changing bands is not as simple as some might think. Thanks to your very clear and concise instructions and demonstration, you've helped a lot of confused/frustrated people (me included). My original band (made from rubber) pulled away from the clips and eventually just fell off. I had hair ties wrapped tightly around the bands to hold them on to the clips. Not a good look, haha!! All good now, thanks to your video.
Hi. Thanks for your kind message. Yes lots of comments on here. Indeed, I thought it was simple to change the band until I tried it for the first time. Then not so simple.... After practice, it was fine. Just wanted to help others out there by making the video and seems to have helped quite a number of people which is great. Glad you found the video useful.
Great video. I had a metal magnetic one on originally and was always sticking to things but it was so beaten up over time. The new band, aside from a scratched up crystal, gives the Fitbit a new life. Thanks for making this change so easy.
Thank you so much! I was doing it wrong :) . Your instructions were so helpful and it took two seconds. Pulling the watch face toward you really is the key. Thanks again.
This is by far the simplest explanation I've found. I've had to replace my band 4 or 5 times (they wear out and break), and some channels are so long-winded, and pushing their "repair kits", and after 3 or 4 minutes of this, they finally show you what to do. People like you get a special place in heaven. I wouldn’t have figured it out and probably would have broken something without your tutorial
Hi Carol G. Thank you so much for the lovely comment, I really appreciate it. So pleased you managed to change the band on your Fitbit. Many thanks 😄
Thank you so much! My band is damaged on the buckle side. I thought I had to buy a whole new FitBit. I just ordered a new 3 pack set from Amazon. Your instructions are so clear, and the replies from viewers, helped me realize that I need only a new band. Thank you again!

So pleased you found the video useful. Thanks.
Thank you for your how-to! My band had broken & I purchased the replacement band (but without instructions). All good now :)
Wasted time trying to remove the band with no luck, watched your video and had the band off in no time! Thank you so much!
Thanks for giving me step by step to change my Fitbit charge 2 band!
Thank you for the assistance Tech Guru! Completed the process before the video ended. A girl needs fashion options...just purchased 6 different bands...solids, florals, abstract prints. Needed a bit of fun as I attempt to get those 10,000 steps in each day.
You're welcome Susan Donovan. Glad you completed the process before the video ended. Appreciate the feedback. Enjoy your different bands 😀
one side of my band wouldn't stay on. I wear it around my ankle often, so I don't miss step counts.
Your video was very helpful. Thank you a lot!
Glad it helped! You're welcome
Super simple tutorial. The click really reassures I'm not damaging the band against the crystal, so many thanks.
Hi Derpboy Zero. Thanks for your comments. Glad you found the video useful. Thanks.

Didn’t have a clue until I watched this.
My strap had broken.

So much clearer than the official video!
Hi Deborah. Many thanks for your kind message. Glad you found the video useful.

Back again because this time the loop on my band broke so bought a new band and used your video again to mend it! Thanks a lot!!
Glad to help! You're very welcome.
Thank you so much for making this video--it was extremely useful! That was amazingly simple and well done! I am changing my band to a smaller sized one because I lost 100 lbs using the device and the large band was falling off.
Way to go on loosing weight! That is so hard to do but you did it!! I'm hoping I'm as successful as you at getting healthier.
Simple and handy technic. No prolonged explanation.. precise to the point. Saved a lot of time
Glad it helped. You’re very welcome. Appreciate the feedback. Many thanks 😀
Very helpful thank you , replacing band due to damage
You're a life saver. I accidently pulled one end of the band off and had no idea how to replace it. I was afraid I had broken it. I would also enjoy a briefing on the setup and apps usage of the Charge 2.
Hi Kb Baby. Thanks for your comments. Glad you found the video useful. Noted your comments on set up and apps on Charge 2. Many thanks.
OMG I did it! Thank you! It was really easy but I forgot to disconnect my bracelets from each other!
You’re welcome. Glad the video helped 👍
Original strap broke. Got 6 new ones, different colours, so will be doing this quite often. Very helpful, didn't need to ask my son to help!
Thanks
You're very welcome 👍

This was the most helpful video taking off my Fitbit bands. Others I watched rushed through some I had to keep rewinding it.
Thank you, it was very helpful. My watchband had broken and I had to wait several days to get a new one. I am so used to wearing it - really missed it. These tech videos are great!
Thank you! I got my father's FitBit after he passed away and I was afraid it was broken! Thank you for this video.
Thank you! Just wanted a change. Have had the blue one for quite some time, switched it to purple. It was a much easier procedure than I had anticipated.
Hi Mantatoo. Thanks for your message. Glad you found the video useful.
I couldn't do it as quickly and smoothly as you but I still was able to accomplish the task following your steps. My band broke (the rubber bit that holds down the strap) so I got 3 new replacement bands and look forward to changing them out as my moods change!
Hi. Thanks for your message. Glad you found the video useful and were able to accomplish the task. You're welcome
I was able to replace my band in less than a minute, thanks to your helpful video. It was torn up from a lot of wear.
Glad it helped! Thanks
My band was completely gone, that I started coming off on it's own, so I had to change it. This video was super easy to follow., thank you.
Hi CJ. Glad the video was super easy to follow and helped. Thanks.
Just helped my my mom with her fitbit, and this helped me in exactly what I needed explained.
Wanted a change in my band, and this video helped me get it done in less than a minute. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing the easy to follow instructions ! I did not have any problems. My band needed to be changed!
Couldn't make mind up which Fitbit to buy but due to your demo how easy the strap is to change, this is the one for me, thankyou.
Thank you for this. This would be the 2nd time I've replaced the band over the 6 years I've had my fitbit. The last one was starting to peel away. Really helpful vid. Thanks again 👍
You're welcome. Glad the video helped mckill85. Appreciate the feedback. Many thanks 😀
Thank you! This video was very helpful. It only took a couple of minutes to switch bands.
You're welcome.
Thanks for the video, I thought the band had broken but it had only come loose and with this video I was able to put it back together. Thanks again.
Hi Alicia Lee. Thanks for your comments. Glad you found the video useful. Thanks
Thank you for this video. I needed to change the strap due to a faulty original and following your instructions I have it changed with no problem
You’re welcome 👍
Thank you for your great directions. I changed my Fitbit band with ease.
Again thank you!!
I watched another clip on this action and couldn't do it. Yours was much clearer. Thank you.
Thanks 👍
Thanks!
You're very welcome. Thanks for sharing your experiences Debra Elwell. Appreciate you coming back to my channel for help with your Fitbit band 😀
Yup, I still have the Charge 2 and this helped - I had to get a replacement charger because the old strap broke off during a storage run and god knows where the charger itself disappeared to. Thank you.
You're very welcome 👍
Couldn't have done it without you! Thanks so much
You’re welcome 👍
Thank you for the easy straightforward instructions. I am waiting for a warranty replacement but feel confident that I can do this, if there isn't something broken in the mechanism.
You're welcome.
This was so easy and straightforward - I battled with changing the band with other videos but yours worked immediately. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the informational video. My band broke and I was worried that I would not be able to replace it myself. You made it look easy!!
Hi Anna. Thanks for your comments. Glad you found the video useful and managed to replace the band. Thanks.
A really brilliant video, my band was broken so I was nervous about changing it, but after watching I did it really easily.
Thanks so much Tara Wavre - glad you were able to change your Fitbit band successfully 😀

I liked and subscribed.
Have a great week
Ps my band wasn’t broken, I just wanted different colors.
You're very welcome. Appreciate the like and your sub. You have a great week too. Thanks.
You're welcome.
This is the 2nd time my band has broke. This video helped me both times. Thank you!
You're welcome Lori Stringer. Glad the video helped you... again. Much appreciate the feedback. Many thanks 😀
Couldn't for the life of me work out how to change the strap until I found this video 😂 thanks so much!
Hi Hazel. Thanks for your message. Glad you found the video helpful. You're so welcome.
I liked this a couple years ago, forgotten how to do it! Glad to see your video again, and thanks
Thank you, changing due to split in current strap. Managed it very easily thanks to your help.
You're welcome.
You're welcome. Glad you found the video useful and it helped. Thanks.
Very helpful, I got a new strap as I fancied a change but had NO idea how to go about changing it. Brilliant video :)
So glad you posted this! Changed in just a few minutes. Tired of the black, so now I’m wearing a purple band. 😊
You're welcome Kendra Rhodes. Glad the video helped. Enjoy your purple band. Thanks 😀
I have actually created a specific wearables You Tube channel now should you be interested - including Fitbit videos ua-cam.com/channels/bAiMz3iEkPT9WqSUvqArvw.html
Thanks for the tips. I didn't figure out how to change bands! Now it's clear.
Thanks. One side of the strap is broken so I need another one. Video very informative.
Very clear visual and verbal instructions. Thank you for making this video it is very helpful.
Thanks. Excellent vid. Was puzzled to start but your clear explanation made it easy. 👍
Thanks - that was much easier than expected. I loved the clear language too!
You're welcome Julie Powell. Glad the video helped. Thanks for your kind comments 😀
Hi Kathy. Thanks for your message. Glad you found the video useful. You're welcome.
Thank you for making changing my watch band so simple.
Happy to help! Thanks 😃
