- We have always dreamed of owning one of these BMW 2002 Tourings but never did we think that we would go out in probably the best example out there!
It has taken Tony 3 years to restore this back to its best and even better than a factory car. When the project was taken on he thought there was no saving this rotten BMW 2002 but as there is on 12 in the country and only 6 on the road, he had to see it through.
You have to watch and appreciate this award winning, one of one BMW 2002 Touring.

I’ve seen this car in real life, and it is stunning. I have a 2002 touring in my workshop which will be my next restoration project. I won’t replicate this car, but hope to achieve a similarly high standard.

Lovely bit of craftsmanship and them recaros bring back memories I had the exact same seats in my mark 1 Astra sr they had a big cheque pattern in grey and dark orange on charcoal grey they was very robust and the side bolsters didn’t wear easy the only damage them seats would get is hot rocks from the hash 😂

Firstly what an amazing car! Never seen this particular model BMW before so not surprised of its rarity. Literally cannot fault the styling, colour choice etc. Fair play to the owner for modifying this car so sympathetically yet also so uniquely. Love this build and great that he’s brave enough to modify it too. Exactly what any car lover would do 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It’s just a pity that very few car builders today go beyond gray paint 😮 not really my cup of tea but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I personally love purple, so if I built a car it would be painted in beautiful purple, hells yeah guys.😊

The roof of this reminds me of my grandma's old triumph dolomite. It was known as the beach buggy as I only went in to go to the beach. On that note you should try and find a crazy unique beach buggy for the channel. Keep up the good work ✌️

Seen a few of these over the years, most recently the one Drew Pritchard did on Salvage hunters classic cars last year
They were never as popular, or cool as the 2002 saloon imo

I'm old enough to remember seeing these kicking around. They were way cheaper than the notch back cars and to be honest I used to think they were ugly. It was a close call for my first car purchase between a booted 1602 and Lancia Delta. The 1602 wouldn't start so went for the Delta, still own one now. This Touring though is really awesome and glad its not a turbo rep. I'd love this car. We were on the market for one of these recently but the prices have have rocketed so went for something else. Brilliant build and lovely car.
