It’s hard to pick but I agree. I sure miss my 70’ GMC 1500 4x4. Someone else loved it more me apparently when they stole out of the driveway 15 years ago.

76 K5...tough to smog in Ca late 80s with a 454 swap but got er done .Was my daily....knew Id regret selling but when youre young you just dont have money to store them all.

Having owned a cherry 70 C10 as a teenager. I can't explain why it's seating position was my favorite even more than my current Z06. But it was, so with that said that Blazer interior is my favorite ever in a custom
76 K5 was the same way. Not quite totally upright which I cant stand. Even at 6ft3 I was comfortable in the stock seats.

Usually when you tuck in the wheels so far into the wheel arches the stance looks "weak", but in this case they somehow pulled it off, it looks great!

I owned a factory-original 2wd ‘72 GMC Jimmy. It was my dream truck. I purchased for $3200 on eBay in the early ‘00s. It was a sketchy listing with terrible photos but I took the chance. When it arrived it was a solid rust free driver w/ intact double wall top.
I completely disassembled it with plans of a frame-off.
Life happened, fast forward and I reluctantly sold it (read “ripped my heart out”) during the pandemic. I kept the original motor/ trans and the truck was still body-off disassembled when I sold it and still got nearly $20k for it.
The money helped temporarily but the financial woes always return…
I miss that truck every single day. According to production numbers, fewer than 900 2wd Jimmy’s were ever produced, compared to around 3500 Chevy’s. TCE vin…

If I sold it Id just make my landlord and CC companies rich, then start all over never to ba able to afford another. Rather have it sitting unused than not have one. HEres to things turning around for you. Life is a bitch sometimes.

I had a gm truck that exact color but it wasn't metal flake at all, but the color evokes emotion for me , that and the gmc logo grill dash thing. I flipped that truck or rolled it , then rolled it back over and drove it home .

70s and 80s the quickest sleepers out there kept the column shift and bench seat.
ITs actually more convenient than an aftermarket ratchet shifter .
If I ever go auto in my El Im putting a column shift back in. Just cause.

Very nice Blazer, I was a little disappointed to not see the BIG BLOCK that was described in the title. I like the clean looking LSX but I was under the impression it was BBC not a large bore LS small block.

Airbags arent my thing but I certainly appreciate the end result. Very tough doing a build to this extent, getting details right and not overdoing things. First effort took me 12 yrs and almost 100k doing it myself.

That carpet is Daytona. It's synthetic. They used it in early 50s gm luxury cars. It's a nice nod to OG loop that your 67 chevelle came with
