Check your local hospitals. They sometimes offer free first aid knowledge and familiarization. It is a good starting point.
Hey there! Corporal sent me here. Continue on what you're doing and there will be a time that you will be able to taste the fruit of your own hard earned work. Keep it up and more great things to come.
Sent from corporals corner. Excited to see more of this type of content. Thanks!
Corporal’s Corner sent me here.
I am here to stay
Corporals corner sent me love you Paul!
100% agree! One of the flawed tenets of Wilderness First-Aid Training is the over focus on improvisation as your first option! MacGyvering during a medical emergency is a last resort if you are properly trained, equipped and prepared!
I couldn't agree more!
The “chainsaw oopsies kit…” and may you never need to use it! I mostly just carry large bandaids, (the number of times I nick myself with my silky, my knife, or get dragged through something thorny is truly ridiculous) and I always pack Benadryl, Naproxen, Lactaid, Tums, and one more heavy duty prescription pain relief. That’s my EDC minimum for everywhere from quick day hikes around home to going to WalMart. The Benadryl is also in every jacket, purse, pack, bag, and vehicle we own, at least two gel caps. I’ve rarely needed it myself, but the number of times I’ve given it away to someone else has made it 100% worthwhile. Vehicles all have a larger first aid kit, and any overnight trips, or day hikes with increased risk activities (axe, chainsaw, etc) gets a more thorough kit.
That is a nice pack. I also like the way it is setup.
Absolutely great stuff only thing I would say is add a sharpie.
Yeah, I'm currently reworking it a bit so definitely going to add a small sharpie.
Great video, throw a small microlight in there, best is headlamp,. but kinda big. There are a few super cheap lousy tourniquets out there buyer beware! The Corporal sent me! Be well brother
One suggestion for the TQ. Undo the velcro over the windless so you don’t have to do it when applying the TQ.
Very nice product and review. Might want to think about adding a tube of glucose for use with diabetic individuals.
Very helpful video brother!!!
🤜🏼🤛🏼
Nice little kit! Even though I have not had any training, If I have something that can assist someone else who HAS been trained, I still count that as a win! Corporal Kelly shouted you out, so be sure to thank him. I am working on collecting a little bit here and there, so I can afford having some stuff, but I have a LONG way to go!

Awesome video Paul will need to keep my eye out for this pack! I think it is perfect for the use you have it for.
Good advice Paul. Something to think about. Spend the rent on a cook set or on a good IFAK? Budget is always a consideration, but I'd rather go hungry for a day than bleed out in 5 minutes. Just sayin. Thanks for keeping it rolling.
Exactly! If you skimp on medical gear, you're only setting yourself up for failure.
Very good information, thanks!
Thanks for making the video.
Good pack review and kit Paul , thanks for sharing , God Bless !
Good kit and pouch Paul, and I completely agree that everyone should have first aid training!
Great video, Paul. My medical training comes from the military. Fort Campbell had Eagle First Responder which taught us how to administrator and IV, and NPA, apply a tourniquet etc. We also received medical training from 5th SF group while I was there. They taught is the acronym M.A.R.C.H. and how to apply it.
Not a bad place to get medical training that's for sure!
Thank you
Saw Corporal Corner give you a shout out....
Interesting. I'm all for compartmentalizing kits, and that looks like something I'd throw inside a pack. Hey, have you checked into any of the Wazoo gear? I'm a big fan of the cache cap & belt. I always have band-aids, ointment, alcohol pads, fire starters, etc stuff in them, and I always have a keychain ferro rod & whistle in my pocket on my keychain. I figure that I can dig into my pack for more serious stuff if the need arises, and I keep really common items as accessible as possible. Just a thought. Thanks for putting this together and sharing.
I'm actually friends with Dustin, so I'm very familiar with Wazoo.
@@adaptablesurvival Very cool! Thanks for getting back to me!
Kelly sent me. Thank you!

If this is of interest to you or your audience....“The Ony State Capital Where You Can’t Drink the Water” Practical Engineering channel Grady explains about the operations of clean water plants, this one is specifically Jackson, MS. Lots of good info…never know what we may need to pull out of our hats.
What's your opinion on first aid provided through a company you work for? Have you ever linked that tourniquet study, I'd be interested in reading it. And finally, do those bottom bungies allow you to quickly get the tourniquet into action if it's needed?
To answer your first question, I would find out who the company is certified through to provide that training. Ensure that it's a credible organization.
If you Google improvised tourniquets study, it's been the first one for me.
As for the bugies, they'll easily be released to be able to use the TQ.
@@adaptablesurvival thank you
Hey Paul question not related to the video but did you remove your basic class videos I have a friend thinking on going and I suggested your videos for him to check out I thought they were great and he said he could not find them and I looked and did not see them please let me know thanks Paul

No longer available? Can't find it with the link or online search.
Should be the 4th product down in the link. As I said in the video, it's currently out of stock but will be back in soon.
As a paramedic I can tell you a couple things. First off your kit is of jumbled mess. You need to have more organization to it in some way or another. My recommendation is additional pockets on the inside of this fanny pack. Or you could get small pencil bags and apply your stuff that way. Also the front pocket if this is a medical EDC you don't need survival gear. That's just pointless and stupid. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere 50 miles from the nearest hospital, the rest of that stuff in the front of that bag is just kind of silly. Organize your bag ABC airway breathing circulation. Airway should be a CPR mask, maybe an NPA, maybe some chest seals. You're bleeding should be a tourniquet pressure bandage gauze the end. In your circulation usually not something you're going to be dealing with but IV kits things like that. This is coming from a trained medical professional who has handled multiple gunshot wounds, handled multiple knife wounds, handled multiple large trauma events.
where can I find the Fanny pack??
Unfortunately theses aren't being produced anymore.
NICE WORK -- THANKS
