Everyone has been preaching "buy now, stocks are at a discount" but I've been buying stocks since the beginning of the year and yet nothing's changed, but I've been reading articles of people still in the same market pulling off over 350k in just a couple months, what am i doing wrong?
You're not doing anything wrong, you just don't have the required skillset to profit off a down market, folks that are making profit in this market are pros and experts with in-depth knowledge and skillset.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

You could have a strategy with 99% win rate and still be a failing trader. That 1 percent loss rate can wipe out your account if you don't know how to cut the loss. This was the hardest thing for me to do, learn to admit I was wrong when taking a trade. Once I learned it is ok to be wrong it opened a whole new world for me, as far as profitability in the long run in concerned.

Strategy is good but it's only 19% of what makes you a profitable trader....What makes you a profitable trader is the "emotional" aspect of trading. This is what 90% of the time should be spent on...Not only do you need a daily loss limit for the day, you also need a daily profit limit for the day...This will bring in control to your trading and your emotions...The market is very unpredictable and the more control you can bring to the table, the better trader you will be...Only traders that have been trading for a while will know what I mean...Trading is 80% emotional, 19% skill, and 1% luck...Get in tune with those percentages and you will watch your profits go in the northerly direction.

Not impossible. November marks year 5 for me. 2.5 months of consistency and am over 7k from a low of $1388. Get the small wins every day. $200-500 a day can happen at this size. I've specialized in single leg options, scalping specifically.

market crashed the last couple years, so it should be starting a new run to a new high.
I feel exceptionally lucky I started investing in my early 40s and consistently compounded my income to create more cash flow. I grew to a 7 figure well-diversified portfolio just by following Maria Teresa Tyler's recommendations and having exposure to different prolific investments mainly blue chip stocks, bonds, precious metals, and high yield dividend funds. keep investing and you will be fine.

He said he had been trading for 8 years. He said he had turned the 2k into 7 figures from 2020 to present. Sounds like it took him five years to learn.

Even if I never get rich, I'll never blame rich people. I'll only have myself to blame.
I think that kind of mindset is crucial and a lot of younger people lack it.
If you're not in that mindset, I implore you to change "They shouldn't have that much" to "I shouldn't have this little".

@@tradingbadm I mean he could explain that, but everybody's journey is different. What he did to may not be what someone else should do. What one should do all depends upon one's own risk tolerance. And everyone's risk tolerance is different. And why should people care about where he got his funds? Maybe he saved hard, or had a backup account in case something like this happened etc....I don't think people need every excruciating detail. Just focus on the core principles.

Sure there could be some that are, but trading isn't really that hard as long as you are consistently back testing, researching etc...Those that fail are those who think that it's going to be easy and that they don't have to consistently practice, that's probably about 95% of all traders

I was thinking the same thing. I've been through it all in trading and seen about all there is too see. And most of these claims are made by people that won't show the real proof. I enjoy the channel but I don't believe any of these traders' claims based on their word alone. 99.9% of them are liars. And if you don't believe it you haven't been trading long enough.

The process is more important than the edge.
You expected them to reveal some holy grail trading method, you should know by now that there is no such thing.
Paper trading on a simulator is an absolute game changer! I would never have gotten to where I am without it. It aloud me to make my mistakes and blow up accounts without losing real money. If you are new and starting out, use a simulator first!
Losing cash is when you learn. Blowing small accounts are important and having one or two big losses are part of learning

If read Jesse livermore remecents of a stock operator you’ll notice something. Stocks 100 years ago basically sell for the same prices they do today. Like 50 dollars. Guys back then become millionaires only with a few thousand dollars. Back then a few thousand could buy a house, so it was an even more insane amount of money to have a million dollars.

Yeah that was a little misleading. He didn’t take a $2000 account to 1 million he blew up that $2000 account and then started it again. They never say how much was in the account that he got to 1 million.

I don't think so... with this kind of interview, it helps beginners like me to boost my confidence because they have relatable stories than those who are telling people that earning money from trading is easy.

I think you could distinguish people who are faking success and those who aren't according to their narratives. I think fake success will convince you with their "proofs" like stacks of money and their luxurious lifestyle while the other ones will talk about their journey of getting there without being showy. Well, that's just my opinion and thanks for being nice. 😊
