My favourite Super Hoops player...from a gooner! He was a regular at Wembley Dogs when I worked there, he ALWAYS said hello. No frills, just a ordinary guy having a go on the dogs. That says so much to me about the man.
Regarding the goal at 2:00, I was at White Hart Lane that day. Dave Thomas, shortest player on the pitch, won the header at the far post and Stan Bowles ran to the ball and hit it first time. Great skill. Stan Bowles also scored a penalty. The Tottenham supporters were shouting abuse at him. As he ran up to take the kick he blew a kiss to the crowd and then slotted the ball home. Great theatre.
Happy days at Loftus Road, Q.P.R. had a good side, entertaining football, some fab players Stan Bowles, Gerry Francis, Dave Thomas, Ian Gillard, Mick Leach, Dave Clement
