Thoughts on tribit stormbox mini? And how doest it compare with the strombox micro 2? The mini is much cheaper which makes it more tempting

The micro 2 is a lot better, but also more expensive. I’d recommend checking out their stormbox 2 as well.

Correction.. you can connect multiple Tribit micro 2 . Tribit is balanced and little bit bass heavy speaker where jbl has more clarity as its size.
