I want to buy my father a speaker that’s good for mids that he’ll put in a compartment in his (aux lacking) car, since he listens to a lot of people talking rather than music
@@muchamadmunawar pretty good! I’ve used the app to tweak the base a little to give it more of a punch but otherwise it’s respectable considering it’s size!
I'd rather choose Tribit Stormbox Micro 2, it has all the features that you need especially if your phone is running out of juice when you're outside. Sound quality of these speakers are all the same but we need to look for something that is unique from it.
Great comparison video! Sony stands out for me. Would have liked to seen the Bose Micro included. 😎 Looking forward to future comparisons as the choices continue to expand.
Sounds like the Sony wins where bass orientated music is concerned. Battery life can be overcome. Size is size. Bluetooth is, well…Bluetooth. Linking is what it is… Great review guys.
Just got the JBL clip 4 for my birthday. I was quite surprised by the sound quality. I work in a hotel in a small room which is the front desk area and it totally fills the area with sound. Walking outside it does seem to sound quieter because there are less acoustics and walls to bounce off, and feels as though it drops a bit in the bass because of it, but overall I am quite happy with my birthday gift. It has super clear sound and a nice bass that seems to be more dramatic in enclosed areas.
I couldn’t afford none of these so I bought a Chinese one for 10$ and for someone who doesn’t care about bass performance and wants clean sound I’ve been pretty happy so far 😊
There's lots of good Cheap Chinese brands.. The only downside is you cant run it at full volume and some of it has a talking girl when connecting, power on off etc.. But you can find a hifi speaker under 10$ in chinese brands
Something that helps me in other sound comparison videos is first listening the sound of a smartphone as a control sample, and then listening to the speakers. Oh! and you should mark the volume levels in each sample, because the soundcore and sony are very quiet and their 50% volume is very different to 50% of the JBL Clip 4 and the Tribit Stormbox.
Its a shame the Sony XB100 cant squeeze into this list because I think its a worthy contender at £55 (edit the Tribit Stormbox Micro as of writing this comment is £53 on amazon and its definitely worth getting the Sony XB100 instead as they improved nearly everything about it vs the XB13)
Heard the Sony xb100 2 weeks ago but send it back because the cilinder trills to much and move around when you push the sound a little bit up.. and i dont push it too loud.. so..
Great video guys! Now I have to decide between the Sony and the Anker. I thought those two were the best options as well. Thanks for the help and have a good one!
Regards to the speakers with the Mics - is the mic actually good, i.e. could you use it as a little pep for the laptop in a work from home context - using for Teams/Zoom etc
I own two Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 speakers and I pair them to produce stereo sound. The bass becomes stronger and sound more clear. The Tribit app supports it already and you can choose from a variety of preset EQ settings or customize your own EQ settings.
Advise which is better, Tribit STORMBOX micro 2 or JBL GO 3 or Soundcore mini3 pro, they are plus or minus the same in our store, tribit is a little more expensive, a difficult choice)
Those were the two I was narrowed down to, lol. I like the sound quality of the Sony, but liked all the other boxes that the Soundcore checks off. Going to go listen one more time...
Question, with the Sony SB13, if it runs out of battery, will it allow you to plug it in (to charge of course), and immediately play straight without having or what? I have the JBL Essentials and that allows me to do that whereas my older UE BOOM, it needs it to be charged at a specific amount before being able to play it (big boo!) thx in advance do this awesome speaker review btw! :)
The Sony immediately stuck out to me as the one with the better bass quality. I'm not surpriced by that at all. And I would pick that one primarily because I dislike flat audio.
how do you guys feel comfortable leaving those speakers in public? try that here in virginia parks most likely someone will run by and snatch it off the table and you, well thats on you what will happen next.
I'm not a camper really, but I have no idea why i'd want to have a speaker out in the wilds. At most I'll get some headphones. All that noise interrupts the wilderness, animals and other campers. So much so, I'd hope most parks ban playing loud sounds. What's the point of camping if y'all going to bring all the electronics, tech , etc?
I like a small portable clip on speaker for my bicycle rides (I commute to work in a city). Headphones aren't a safe option because they block out all ambient sound in traffic.
Just start adding some classical music to your reviews please... Organ music would be an excellent choice, due to the massive colour palette and range of the instrument. This track would be awesome, for example, for testing: "Cavaillé Coll Organ - Saint-Ouen Abbey Church - Final Symphony No 1 - Gerard Brooks" here on youtube. I ordered the Bose Soundlink Flex after the impressive reviews and it absolutely sucks when I play this track due to the bass heaviness of the speaker. Zero clarity, high and mid nowhere.
To me Sony has the best sound quality and balanced while JBL is the least clear to me due to extra crispy trebles to make it louder by the company. I will go with Anker though because in my country it's half the price of others and still great sound and slightly smaller. XB100 may be very very good though.
@@chevy1810 Tell that to most people on the planet. i think this review is rigged.. the tribit should compete in this comparison. the audio comparison is not accurate since you can easily tell the phase shifts from the limited directionality of the strombox micro
Have been using the clip 4 for about a year and it’s been really disappointing! All of the “adhesives” have peeled off! Including the back protection (serves to avoid vibration from the speaker to the table for example). So I can’t recommend it! It’s a really downgrade from the last generation and I am not buying another jbl that has this kind of adhesive.
You just said let's test the sound quality, just like that, like it's just one of the minor things you need to compare. The problem nowadays is, that the most out there are only looking for the best bass experience, but music is definitely more than just bass.
