As a writer myself, I've always felt that there are two types of writers. One injects their work with plenty of vivid imagery, use of simile and metaphor, adjective rich. The other, of which I consider myself part of, tends to use broader brush strokes and less detail, better suited to longer form works like full length novels. I don't think one is necessarily better than the other, but I'm a little envious of those who can do the former.
