A picture is worth a thousand words. You made a video in front of an RV and you could have showed people what to do instead of just talking about it!! That's the whole reason for making a video.
AGREED!!!!!!!
Waste of my god damn time
I have so much to learn. I have a motor home and two campers and I don't have no idea where to start. There is so much to learn.
The key for me was turning on the water pump and opening the low water drain plug, and the fresh water drain. After that, the water started draining better. Thanks for the video.
Thanks man, you answered every single question I had in just under three minutes.
Look under the RV for about a 1" plastic fitting. It is almost always grey or white. It is the drain plug for the fresh water tank. It has no valve, just unscrew the plug and all the water will pour out. Also run the pump and the sink to remove the water from the RV lines inside at the same time for a total water dump...I like to do a tank of bleach water and pump it to every outlet in my rv about one time a year. Then drain as I said above....
TheSoloAsylum I
THANK YOU. I WILL TRY TO LOCATE THE PLUG
How do you know when to shut off the pump? I heard you can damage the pump if you run it without water in tank. With one person only doing it do you just listen for when water stops running out from the plug and shut off the pump?
How does this cover "How to drain a fresh water tank"?
How about doing hands on demos!
Thank you that's exactly what I want to know I didn't know If I had to get every drop out
Where is the fresh water tank drain plug for 2007 class c Concord?
Love the channel. I have a camper that we just got also note that I am a new camper owner as well. So I don’t know a whole lot about campers. My freshwater tank is located under My seats where my table is. Here is my question. This is also where my pump is located. There is a hose that isn’t connected to anything on one end of it on the other end there is a valve where you can turn it off and on. What is that hose for and should it be connected to something or is it to drain the tank some how?
Is that seriously the only way to empty it? I need to change the pump and want to empty it. I also would like to disinfect my tank and pipes after it sits for a while and i want to be able to empty it completely before refilling. Seems silly that there would be absolutely no way to empty the tank completely if needed.
Algae growth is my concern
When I get a chance, I flush the tank out by attaching a hose and then leaving the taps on which will fill the waste water tank and hopefully also give it a cleaning too!
So I keep the water pump on while doing this correct, otherwise it wouldn't come out of the fixtures? Because it's coming from the fresh water tank as I fill it?
Question still remains: How to drain fresh water holding tank? Not grey water tank.
I took an air hose and blew mine out
There is no release value on the fresh water tank… so unless you blow it out or add Antifreeze that’s more less what he’s saying
I have an 1989 1/2 Tiffin Allegro...I got the vehicle out of the shop, (full service, belts, tune up, etc.), and before driving it back 4 hours to Tennessee...I did add bleach to the fresh water fill up at the rear of the Coach...I figured this would slosh around and clean the tank (it had been setting up awhile...). getting home, I attempted to drain the FRESH WATER tank...no power for the pump, but I figured there would be a drain PLUG or something...none that I can find.....there is still bleach water in said tank...any thoughts?
Hey that's my RV behind him😁
this is useless. it's the same as reading the manual. perhaps SHOWING us would be what a VIDEO is for.
I totally agree. Or how about answering the actual question in the title.
The question might be related to RVers that always hook up to fresh water, don't use the potable water, and it stagnates if there is some left in the tank. That is my problem. Thanks. Ed
Mine as well but there are no answers
I'm in troutdale and really need a rundown on my 99 gulf stream v10 I recently purchased with no owners manual
When you are about to park it for the season or when you know it will be parked for awhile, open the drain valve, and go for a drive, after all it is just water, go up hills, around corners etc,, the water will slosh around and eventually drain out, and keep it open, ,,this was a useless video,
Answered my question! Thanks brother 👍
I can't find the fresh water drain, where is it located on a 1999 pace arrow RV? I am new to RVing and have looked in the manual and can't even find the tank
So the red and blue hose is to drain the sink water? I don't need to drain that one? Just the dump water ?
ANSWER: Open the valve and let it drain.
Rehabilitation of an unused and contaminated tank coupled with a requirement by the rv park to drain all of that rinse water into the sewer system due to freeze conditions. These tanks are just not designed for actual use. I will be fixing a few serious manufacturing flaws this summer.
Trying to find the drain for my Fresh water tank on my Coleman 202RD! I will be winterizing it this weekend and want to make sure the tank is empty and not rely on the LED indicator. Likewise I will be draining the HWH. The only drain I have seen under the RV is a SMALL white petcock that appears to under the refridgerator? Any help appreciated.
I’ve been living in my RV for three years and I don’t know if my holding tank is full or empty because I’ve never checked it. Don’t know where to check it.
I have a 1992 wilderness by Fleetwood the kitchen tank is leaking under the 5th will how do you deal the problem when you are not hocked up to sew and how do you seal the back tank
I have a 1996 or 97 terry travel trailer . how do I hook up my hot water heater? I'm new to campers & not sure how to do the hot water heater and drain the holding tanks
My fresh water indicator shows two thirds full. Opening the drain cocks with the pump turned on does not change the indicator.
Malfunctioning indicator?
My fear is I will over flow or drag around extra weight that is not needed.
Where is the fresh water drain on a 1994 Damon hornet motor home?
I hope someone can help me. I m a truck driver gone during the week and home on weekends. I don't have a air compressor ,so if I drain the low point drains under the camper, and turn main water off and drain my hot water heater and open all the faucets will my pipes still freeze?
HOW DO U INSTALL A FRWH WATER TANK INTO A 1990 TIOGA CLASS C DO U KNOW WHERE i CAN GET INSTRUCTIONS
Um ok but how do you empty a tank ? we have looked everywhere and can not find where to empty it ?????
Dahlene Burbank there's a pipe in the left side of the rv whit 2 values push one for the gray tank that means sink and shower the other for the black tank that means toilet
I noticed the lack of that, too. I found it in a UA-cam video from Joe's RV tech DIY video entitled "RV Freshwater tank drain," which shows the valves to close under the bed for an Itasca Class A but is the same setup for my Itasca Class C. Why the manufacturer can't give a step-by-step instruction is a mystery.
Why not run the water in the sink or tub until it stops then empty the grey water tank and that should pretty much empty the fresh water tank. JMO
Hello, we have a 1990 Holiday Monitor. the floor around the read bed is wet. we have not been able to pinpoint where the leak is. We just got this so we don't know how to drain the tank or where to initially look for the leak. the floor is wet near the furthest rear of the m.h. as well as the side of the bed. it is clearly water and not fuel. PLEASE help!
Pointless video!! The question was still not answered!
Previous comment was from solar panels commercial
what I learned from this: Don't go to this guy or his sponsor for any RV help.
WHERE IS THE TANK LOCATED ON A 2010 JAYFLIGHT . I NEED TO CHECK IT FOR A LEAK
I CANNOT FIND THE TANK
Does not address water in the lines, that is the issue of water freezing and busting pipes. Not very good information.
Take it for a drive or try parking on a slope
Useless info, showing us how to empty tank was why I clicked your video on
Same here
all my water pumps quit at the same time what could cause this
thanks....
What happens when you drain fresh water and go to city water but fresh water tank keeps filling?
I would like to know this as well!!
I have the exact same problem with my forest river.
Richard Iribarne I had the same problem on my TT. When I hooked city water, my fresh water tank would fill up inadvertently. I solved the problem by putting a valve that close in between the water pump and the hose leading to the tank. The problem was that city water would drip in the water tank very slowly. By adding this valve, it stopped. But remember that when you want water from the fresh water tank by activating the pump you have to open the valve. And you have to close the valve the next time you connect to city water. Is that clear? Excuse my English, I’m French speaking... Just wanted to help you as it took me some time to understand what was the problem and that I finally solved it... Good luck.
Do you know how is bleed air breaks on the rv ?
Topic is: How to drain an RV Fresh water tank. You never showed how to do this
You only get credit if you buy the panels
How can I drain water tank I am alpha ideal faith wheelcamper
It would've been better info if you showed us
I don't have a gravity feed for my fresh water. I have two low water point only. My motor home has a control panel for my water what setting do I need to put them on to drain my water? Do I have to open a facet so the water will drain?
Well great another show nothing video
So this guy evidently didn't want to answer the question, so why make the video?
So much talking. No showing. Useless and full of ads.
How to drain and he goes on about not having to(??????)
Nonsense video
This is stupid. First read a letter then talk. Demonstration? Not.
what the fuck is this guy talking about🤷🏾♂️said everything except what we needed to hear
