ua-cam.com/video/0zyCMwg5OjM/v-deo.html Just found out that after uf3, b4 will miss if they sideroll Adjustment: After hellsweep, quickly do a small side step right then uf3, b4 should hit both side rolls (left side roll will sometimes escape if hellsweep doesn't hit close enough or if you side stepped too much) If already off-axis: side step more to that same side
@@Zeridium Only at the wall. When on-axis always do a small side step right then uf3. When off-axis, side step to that same side. (Off-axis left → side step left) (Off-axis right → side step right) This is only if you want to do b4, if you want to use ff2 or ewgf for combo then don't need to side step. Hope this explanation is clear, if you try it out you'll see what i mean
@@Ruuge27 hopefully they don’t buff him too much, i like that he’s not top tier, but i think its obvious because he was one of the best characters at launch, make him have a better poke and maybe some moves less unsafe and im happy
@@OctopusH2O He was only good because of his heatsmash. He was only the best because people didn't understand how to counter him. If you returned his same stuff as before he would still not be top 5. Maybe close to top 10, but not top 10.
You can evade with Frame-Perfect Ground-Rolls (B4,D1+2,MC3 might still hit, depedent on axis) as like Bob's uf233+4 wallender, you cannot just buffer or mash out.
Most characters can do something similar. You just need a way to make the opponent backturned ( hellsweep ), then use a move that makes them unable to tech roll ( uf3/ f2 ). The follow-up attacks afterwards depend on the recovery time.

Nice find bro. So we step right or left, which is more consistent for this when in the open, or is this at the wall?

@@Ruuge27 Appreciate it man. Good explanation.
Nice tech. Thx! Imma try it out for sure)
Transition at 1:38 was smooth
no way
1:28
That grab isn't guaranteed sadly
Should've hid this from the devs.
New patch: Removed legs from Devil jin
Beautiful man ❤
This character might be crippled but he’s amazing 🤩
💀💀 He'll get buffed one day

@@OctopusH2Oyeah man same opinion, just give him a good df1 move/string

Yeah, after hellsweep do a small side step right uf3. Then B4 should hit both side rolls, just refer to my pinned comment.
Sick tech
I can't believe this works

Thanks, i actually saw some dvj players use hellsweep uf3 into laser, just wanted to cover more about it
Wait, you found my tech, or I found your tech? Lol, I actually wanted to make a video about it, but now I don't have to. Good stuff.
Btw if you do the SSR UF3 correctly the DF1,2 will put them closer to the wall so the follow up is easier.
About to tell Invaines about this one
:)
You're brave to post a devil jin tech when there's a balance patch coming
I doubt he'll get nerfed again 😅
@@Ruuge27 always remember that they killed the tracking on mc22 because qudans did that Ferrari tech once even tho he lost the match anyway
f2 recovers faster and puts them in a similiar spot
Yea, it's just that the ewgf and ff2 timing is a bit different.
I think f2 is much more consistent if you want to do b4.
I just do f2 instead of uf3
Oh yeah f2 is good too, i just like uf3 more cause b4 hits them even if they stand up (46 damage)
@@Ruuge27 can side roll
Check pinned comment, small side step right then uf3 makes b4 hit both side rolls. But it's a bit inconsistent sometimes
b1+2 works better
Nah, opponent can hold back to get up immediately (quick back roll). It's good if you want to force a mixup tho
