I think the breakdown in this song has got to be my all time favorite.
The build up to it is chaotic and intense, and then the sudden slow down, that fucking bone crunching riff and tone, and words and the way they're sung. And when the lead guitar starts that solo type whatever the fuck you'd call it Andrea-style thing, holy shit!!! That whoe part is like huge shot of adrenaline

One of the best metal bands EVER. This album is fantastic, but personally I think "Chaos A.D." is in the 10 best metal records of ALL time. It's just a perfect record. I'm glad the Cavalera brothers on good terms again. Holy shit, does Max have some killer projects or what? Damn, he's got his hand in so many pies, it reminds me of Mike Patton...who is a personal hero of mine. That guy is a fucking ridiculously talented man, all around. Excuse the rant.

I'm sure I could find some leaked tracks through some connections I have in the music industry. I'm old fashioned when it comes to my favorite bands' new albums though. Daniel Uffner Another thing I just noticed, the ring announcer played the junkie brother in the film "Blood In, Blood Out". I never noticed it before. It's a good movie, it's a brutal story about life in the East L.A. gang culture. It has a lot of actors before they were really known. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It is long though....cheers.

Not only were Sepultura heavily promoting Gracie Ju Jitsu (and the Gracie family), but the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which in 1996 was not only forward thinking and groundbreaking, but seriously risky because UFC was still seen as a death sport in those days.

How can someone not love Sepultura? They are beyond amazing. They were the first ever metal band I ever heard. And that happened when I was fourteen. Now I am almost thirty four and I still listen to them. Their artistry will never die. Because time can't rule over something that is eternal.

Badass. I remember when this album came out in the late 90's. No one expected it to be this way. ( heavy/tribal/etherial/experimental ). It blew our minds back then. It still holds its ground today.
This song was one of my favorites when this album came out thanks to the instrument features in the "classic" movie Only the Strong. I only got into MMA within the last 5 years, so it was pretty cool to find out Royce Gracie is featured in a video I loved 25 years ago.

Man, I miss these dudes. I first saw them in Headbanger’s Ball on MTV in the middle of the night in 1993. I was like 12-13, and my jaw dropped. I had just gotten into Metal and “alternative”/ punk. Something about these guys was so primal and tribal and terrifying. The new version ain’t shit.

Yup. Royce Gracie won UFC 1, UFC 2 and UFC 4 (and he was a semifinalist in UFC 3).
Their whole family developed the Gracie Brazilian jujitsu system. I think most of them were undefeated for some time.
Royce's brother, Rickson Gracie, remains undefeated (11-0).
